HYBRID CLOUD DEPLOYMENT FOR HYBRID UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS
A hybrid unified communications (UC) cloud system includes a global UC virtual data center and a plurality of regional UC virtual data centers (VDCs). Each regional VDC includes a regional system manager that manages a set of regional UC resources. Associated endpoint devices operate in at least one respective multi-tenant regional cloud and to employ corresponding regional UC resources thereof, operating in at least one service cluster of the respective multi-tenant regional cloud, to communicate real-time media traffic with respect to the associated endpoint devices. A regional resource manager provides status information to the regional system manager, based on utilization of resources, to control scaling of the regional UC resources responsive to the status information. The global UC virtual data center includes a global system manager to manage the regional UC VDCs and coordinates orchestration of UC resources between and/or among the regional UC VDCs.
NETWORK RESOURCE PROCESSING METHOD, APPARATUS AND INSTANT MESSAGING SYSTEM
The present application provides a network resource processing method, apparatus and an instant messaging system. The method comprises: a first client receives network resource transferring information input in an instant messaging window by a first user using the first client during instant messaging with a second client; the first client transmits the network resource transferring information to a server side, so that the server side transfers the network resource of the first user to a second user using the second client according to the network resource transferring information. The present application can improve transferring efficiency of network resources.
Mobility network slice selection
Core network slices that belong to a given operator community are efficiently tracked at the network control/user plane functions level, with rich data analytics in real-time based on their geographic instantiations. In one aspect, an enhanced vendor agnostic orchestration mechanism is utilized to connect a unified management layer with an integrated slice-components data analytics engine (SDAE), a slice performance engine (SPE), and a network slice selection function (NSSF) in a closed-loop feedback system with the serving network functions of one or more core network slices. The tight-knit orchestration mechanism provides economies of scale to mobile carriers in optimal deployment and utilization of their critical core network resources while serving their customers with superior quality.
System and method for subscription management using dynamically composed management entities
Methods, systems, and devices for providing computer implemented services using managed systems are disclosed. To provide the computer implemented services, the managed systems may need to operate in a predetermined manner conducive to, for example, execution of applications that provide the computer implemented services. Similarly, the managed system may need access to certain hardware resources (e.g., and also software resources such as drivers, firmware, etc.) to provide the desired computer implemented services. To improve the likelihood of the computer implemented services being provided, the managed systems may be managed using a subscription based model. The subscription model may utilize a highly accessible service to obtain information regarding desired capabilities (e.g., a subscription) of a managed system, and use the acquired information to automatically configure and manage the features and capabilities of the managed systems by powering and depowering select components as well as deploying dynamically composed management entities.
DYNAMIC AND DETERMINISTIC ACCELERATION OF NETWORK SCHEDULING FOR SHARED FPGAS
A method for allocating resources of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), the method comprising: deterministically estimating a maximum latency for executing a network service at the FPGA; determining that the maximum latency is less than a threshold latency value associated with the network service; outputting an acknowledgement indicating that the maximum latency is less than or equal to the threshold latency value; receiving confirmation that the FPGA has been selected to execute the network service within a threshold time period; and deterministically scheduling the resources of the FPGA for executing the network service in response to receiving the confirmation within the threshold time period.
Interconnected Hardware Infrastructure Resource Control
A physical network node controls allocation and/or deallocation of resources of an interconnected hardware infrastructure. The physical network node determines a number of requests currently queued at a first service node of a plurality of serially-connected service nodes at a current time. The plurality of serially-connected service nodes supports a packet flow using resources of the interconnected hardware infrastructure. The physical network node also determines a packet flow rate of the packet flow into the first service node. The physical network node also determines a future time to control allocation or deallocation of a resource of the interconnected hardware infrastructure to a second service node of the plurality of serially-connected service nodes based on the determined number of requests and the determined packet flow rate. The physical network node controls allocation or deallocation of the resource to the second service node at the future time.
Systems for media policy decision and control and methods for use therewith
A system includes a policy repository configured to store a plurality of plurality of media-centric policies. A media policy decision point receives media session data corresponding to one of the plurality of media sessions; determines a plurality of media-specific and non-media specific attributes, based on the media session data; and evaluates a plurality of media-centric policies to determine a proper subset of the plurality of media-centric policies that apply to the one of the plurality of media sessions. A media policy enforcement point enforces the proper subset of the plurality of media-centric policies to control the one of the plurality of media sessions.
Admission control and load balancing
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for wireless communication, and more particularly, to methods and apparatus to enable a node to be aware of active services and context for a mobile device in order to determine the load balancing and admission control for the services. For example, in certain aspects, a mobile device for managing at least one data flow between a core network and the mobile device may determine whether at least one of the data flow or a service related to the data flow should be reported and send a report to a first node based on the determination. The report may identify at least one of the data flow or service and indicates a packet data network (PDN) connection or bearer associated with the service or data flow.
Information processing apparatus, information processing system, and method of remote information sharing
An information processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to acquire one or more pieces of resource information usable at the information processing apparatus in response to a selection of the one or more pieces of resource information by a user operation performed at the information processing apparatus; determine whether another information processing apparatus has at least one piece of resource information that matches any one of the one or more pieces of resource information acquired for the information processing apparatus; present to the user the another information processing apparatus, having the at least one piece of resource information that matches any one of the one or more pieces of resource information acquired for the information processing apparatus, as a remotely-located connectable apparatus; and perform a remote information sharing between the information processing apparatus and the another information processing apparatus using the acquired one or more pieces of resource information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSPORTATION OF MULTIPLE CONSTANT BITRATE DATA STREAMS
Systems and methods are provided for transparently transmitting multiple constant bitrate (CBR) data streams over a packet network with reduced delay. Example embodiments provide packetizers and depacketizers for multiplexing and demultiplexing multiple common public radio interface (CPRI) data streams for transport between remote units and baseband units over packet networks. The systems and methods disclosed herein use time-division-multiplexing to map multiple CBR clients directly into a packet such that each CBR client can be recovered at the destination with its original clock and with information that allows its residence time in the packet domain to be calculated. The systems and methods disclosed herein allow packet based networks, such as the existing Packet Transport Network (PTN), to be used for C-RAN fronthaul applications with strict end-to-end delay requirements.
