NETWORK TRAFFIC SPIKE DETECTION AND MANAGEMENT
20200120124 · 2020-04-16 ·

Systems and methods are described to predict spikes in requests for content on a computing network based on referrer field values of prior requests associated with spikes. Specifically, a traffic spike prediction service is disclosed that can analyze information regarding past requests on the computing network to detect a spike in requests to a content item, where a significant number of request within the spike include a common referrer field value. The traffic spike prediction service can then detect a request to a second content also including the common referrer field value, and predict that a spike is expected to occur with respect to the second content. The traffic spike prediction service can manage the expected spike by increasing an amount of computing resources available to service requests to the second content.

CLOSED LOOP RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM ZONE GENERATION AND DEPLOYMENT

A closed loop processing interaction network in which the resource pool source of the user and the resource pool destination are both within the same organization or group of organizations. As such, resources associated with interactions may be distributed directly between the resource pools. The interactions may occur through communication between user computer systems (e.g., mobile devices, or the like) and/or interaction terminals of product providers (e.g., mobile devices, or the like). The interaction terminals of the product providers may create and allow for the use of interaction zones, which allows for the identification of users that are a part of the interaction network, allows users to receive specialized offers, allows for direct transfer of resources within an organization that by-pass traditional resource processing. The closed loop interaction network improves the processing speeds, memory requirements, security, and costs associated with processing resources related to interactions.

CLOSED LOOP RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM

A closed loop processing interaction network in which the resource pool source of the user and the resource pool destination are both within the same organization or group of organizations. As such, resources associated with interactions may be distributed directly between the resource pools of the members within the interaction network without having to use the traditional processing networks. The interactions may occur through communication between user computer systems (e.g., mobile devices, or the like) and/or interaction terminals of product providers (e.g., mobile devices, or the like) that are able to handle both traditional processing, as well as closed loop processing. The closed loop interaction network improves the processing speeds, memory requirements, security, and costs associated with processing resources related to interactions.

Systems and methods for determining hardware requirements for a wireless network event are disclosed. In embodiments, a method comprises obtaining, by a computing device, social user data over a period of time from a plurality of mobile devices associated with a social event at a location; obtaining, by the computing device, bandwidth usage data for each of the plurality of mobile devices based on the social user data; obtaining, by the computing device, crowd density and traffic pattern data related to the social event; determining, by the computing device, participant movement data for the social event based on the crowd density and traffic pattern data; deriving, by the computing device, a social bandwidth density model based on the bandwidth usage data and the participant movement data; and determining, by the computing device, bandwidth requirements within a geo-spatial boundary associated with the social event from the social bandwidth density model.

DYNAMIC RESOURCE ALLOCATION, SCHEDULING AND SIGNALING FOR VARIABLE DATA RATE SERVICE IN LTE

A method and apparatus are provided for dynamic resource allocation, scheduling and signaling for variable data real time services (RTS) in long term evolution (LTE) systems. Preferably, changes in data rate for uplink RTS traffic are reported to an evolved Node B (eNB) by a UE using layer 1, 2 or 3 signaling. The eNB dynamically allocates physical resources in response to a change in data rate by adding or removing radio blocks currently assigned to the data flow, and the eNB signals the new resource assignment to the UE. In an alternate embodiment, tables stored at the eNB and the UE describe mappings of RTS data rates to physical resources under certain channel conditions, such that the UE uses the table to locally assign physical resources according to changes in UL data rates. Additionally, a method and apparatus for high level configuration of RTS data flows is also presented.

Method and apparatus for retransmission

Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus includes a transceiver and a processing circuit. The transceiver is configured to transmit and receive wireless signals. The processing circuit is configured to detect an error of a previous scheduled transmission of data units from the apparatus to another apparatus. The other apparatus provides scheduled resources for transmission between the two apparatuses. Further, the processing circuit is configured to determine resources that are scheduled by the other apparatus for the apparatus to perform retransmission, and provide one or more of the data units in the previous scheduled transmission to the transceiver for retransmission using the scheduled resources.
