Method of and server for detecting associated web resources
A method of determining associated network resources from a plurality of network resources available on a network, the method executable by a server that is communicatively coupled to the network. The method comprises: scanning, by the server, the network to identify a first network resource and a second network resource of the plurality of network resources; retrieving, by the server, information associated with the first network resource and the second network resource, the information comprising at least one parameter of the first network resource and at least one parameter of the second network resource; in response to a match between the at least one parameter of the first network resource and at least one parameter of the second network resource, determining a connection between the first network resource and the second network resource.
Resource allocation and provisioning in a multi-tier edge-cloud virtualization environment
Techniques are provided for resource allocation and provisioning in a multi-tier edge-cloud virtualization environment. An exemplary method comprises: obtaining an application request for processing a given data type in a multi-tier environment; processing application requests received within a decision window to allocate resources for virtual nodes to process the application requests received within the decision window, wherein the allocated resources for each virtual node is on a corresponding one of cloud resources and a given edge node; instantiating the allocated virtual nodes to process the application requests; and providing the application requests to the instantiated virtual nodes, wherein the instantiated virtual nodes obtain the data of the given data type from a data repository. The virtual node waits to process a given application request for output data of any predecessor requests and sends the output data of the given application request to any additional virtual nodes holding successor requests to the given application request.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ORCHESTRATING RESOURCES IN MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING (MEC) NETWORK
A method for orchestrating resources in a multi-access edge computing (MEC) network is applied in and by an apparatus. The MEC network comprises at least one control node, substrate nodes and substrate links managed by the at least one control node. The apparatus receives a virtual network request and calculates whether a proper virtual network embedding solution for the virtual network request exists. If so, the apparatus hands the solution over to the at least one control node for implementation.
Systems and methods for virtual session connection using component-based connection leases
A computing device may include a memory and a processor cooperating with the memory and configured to generate connection leases for published resources selected by client devices. The connection leases may provide instructions for connecting the client devices to virtual computing sessions corresponding to the published resources. Each connection lease may include a published resource lease component unique to the selected published resource, and a common lease component shared by a plurality of different published resources.

BLOCKCHAIN-BASED DYNAMIC STORAGE PROVISIONER
Methods and systems for dynamically provisioning storage on a blockchain are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes receiving a request that includes a data unit for storage. The data unit may be buffered in a data stack that stores one or more data units. The data unit may be stored in the data stack until (i) a predetermined amount of time has passed and/or (ii) a size of the data stack exceeds a predetermined threshold. The data units stored in the data stack may then be encrypted and included in one or more storage transactions. The storage transactions may also include encryption keys used to encrypt the data units. The storage transactions may then be transmitted to nodes for storage on a blockchain.
Method and system for scheduling multi-access edge computing resources
Systems and methods described herein provide an intelligent MEC resource scheduling service. A network device in a MEC network stores, in a memory, threshold values indicating overload conditions for resource usage by a first MEC cluster; monitors resource usage in the first MEC cluster; determines, based on the monitoring, when one of the threshold values is reached; identifies available resources in a second MEC cluster; and re-directs, based on the identifying, at least some of the resource usage from the first MEC cluster to the second MEC cluster.
Accelerated startup of satellite high-bandwidth communication sessions
Various arrangements for increasing a transfer rate of a data transfer via satellite are presented. A satellite gateway may set an accelerated set of communication parameters that control communication between the satellite gateway and the satellite terminal via the satellite and between the satellite gateway and the content source to an accelerated transfer rate between the content source and the satellite terminal. A first set of data may be transferred from the content source to the satellite terminal using the set of communication parameters. After transferring the first set of data, the satellite gateway may adjust the initial set of communication parameters to an adjusted set of communication parameters. The adjusted transfer rate can be lower than the accelerated transfer rate.
Indicating whether a user device can access a computing resource based on whether a current time falls within one or more time slots associated with the computing resource
Disclosed are methods, systems and computer-readable media involving data that associates a computing resource with at least one time slot. Based at least in part on the data and a current time being within the at least one time slot, a device may be caused to display an indication that the computing resource can be accessed using the device. Based at least in part on the data and a current time being outside the at least one time slot, the device may be caused to cease displaying the indication.
Dynamic management of inline entries in hardware across protocols in a scaled environment
Techniques within a network device to execute periodic packet management (PPM) used to determine the health of a network. The inline mode of periodic packet management may be more efficient than other modes of periodic packet management such as centralized mode or distributed mode. The number of inline entries for a given hardware table may be limited, which means that once the number of inline entries in the table has reached the size limit, then any new entries must be managed in the distributed mode or the centralized mode. The techniques of this disclosure may improve the efficiency of a network device by replacing inline entries handled at a lower frequency in the hardware table with entries for periodic packets that are handled with a higher frequency (shorter periodic interval). In this manner, the entries with shorter periodic intervals may be managed using the more efficient inline mode.
