Zone balancing in a multi cluster database system
The subject technology determines, after a period of time elapses over a periodic segment of time, an imbalance of cluster instances deployed in multiple zones based on a threshold value, the cluster instances including different types of clusters associated with compute service manager instances. The subject technology identifies a particular type of cluster instance to include in a particular zone from the multiple zones. The subject technology adds the particular type of cluster instance to the particular zone to meet a global balancing of cluster instances in the multiple zones. The subject technology determines, after a second period of time elapses over the periodic segment of time, that a number of cluster instances deployed in the multiple zones is below the threshold value indicating a current balance of cluster instances in the multiple zones.
Method of releasing resource reservation in network
The present disclosure provides methods for releasing a reserved resource in a network. An operation method performed in a first communication node of a vehicle network includes generating a first frame including identification information of a stream transmitted through a reserved resource and a first indicator instructing to release the reserved resource; and transmitting the first frame to a second communication node.
Methods and apparatus for scheduling of services in a traffic-engineering network
Apparatus and methods are provided for scheduling services in a traffic-engineered communications network. In one aspect a method comprises: receiving a request to schedule a second service utilizing the network in a second time period, wherein the second time period overlaps a first time period in which a first service utilizing the network has already been scheduled; and computing a path for the second service through the network. The step of computing the path for the second service through the network comprises: responsive to a determination that the request is received less than the threshold period of time before the start of the first time period, disallowing the second service from pre-empting the first service.
Method for transceiving enhanced physical downlink control channel in wireless access system supporting unlicensed band, and device supporting same
A method for receiving a signal by an apparatus in a wireless communication system is discussed. The method includes receiving, in a first time resource within a second time resource configured as 14 number of symbols, a physical channel carrying downlink control information within resource element groups (REGs), and receiving a physical downlink shared channel based on the downlink control information. Further, the REGs are indexed starting from a symbol included in the first time resource, and a starting boundary of the first time resource is determined independently from a starting boundary of the second time resource.
Network service requests
An enhancement device (10, 116) for enhancing service requests (120) and a method of allocating network resources to a network service in a communication network is provided. The communication network comprises network resources capable of providing a network service specified in a service request issued by a client. The service request (120) comprises a direct part (121) and an indirect part (122), while the indirect part comprises at least one allocation condition. The method comprises unconditionally allocating, in response to the direct part (121) of the service request, one or more network resources to the network service, and conditionally allocating, in response to the indirect part (122) of the service request, one or more additional network resources to the network service, wherein conditionally allocated network resources are capable of being unconditionally allocated to the network service in response to the direct part of a further service request of the client and are available for allocation to another network service depending on the at least one allocation condition.
Packet scheduling
Various example embodiments for supporting packet scheduling in packet networks are presented. Various example embodiments for supporting packet scheduling in packet networks may be configured to support scheduling-as-a-service. Various example embodiments for supporting packet scheduling in packet networks based on scheduling-as-a-service may be configured to support a virtualized packet scheduler which may be provided as a service over a general-purpose hardware platform, may be instantiated in customer hardware, or the like, as well as various combinations thereof. Various example embodiments for supporting packet scheduling in packet networks may be configured to support scheduling of packets of packet queues based on association of transmission credits with timeslots of a periodic service sequence used to provide service to the packet queues.
VOICE CALL DEVICE
The voice call device includes a processor, and a memory having instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations as follows. After a voice call is initiated via a user equipment (UE) device over 5G NR, a status of an IMS registration (e.g., failed, in progress, etc.) for the UE is identified. For example, in response to determining that the status of IMS registration for the UE is in-progress, the voice call can be held, and a wait timer initiated. If the IMS registration completes prior to the wait timer expiring, the voice call is conducted over 5G NR or 4G Long-term Evolution (LTE).
Method and system for scheduling multi-access edge computing resources
Systems and methods described herein provide an intelligent MEC resource scheduling service. A network device in a MEC network stores, in a memory, threshold values indicating overload conditions for resource usage by a first MEC cluster; monitors resource usage in the first MEC cluster; determines, based on the monitoring, when one of the threshold values is reached; identifies available resources in a second MEC cluster; and re-directs, based on the identifying, at least some of the resource usage from the first MEC cluster to the second MEC cluster.
Cloud-Based Resource Allocation Using Meters
In implementations of systems for cloud-based resource allocation using meters, a computing device implements a resource system to receive resource data describing an amount of cloud-based resources reserved for consumption by client devices during a period of time and a total amount of cloud-based resources consumed by the client devices during the period of time. The resource system determines a consumption distribution using each meter included in a set of meters. Each of the consumption distributions allocates a portion of the total amount of the cloud-based resources consumed to each client device of the client devices. A particular meter used to determine a particular consumption distribution is selected based on a Kendall Tau coefficient of the particular consumption distribution. An amount of cloud-based resources to allocate for a future period of time is estimated using the particular meter and an approximate Shapley value.
Method and apparatus for allocating electronic resource
The present disclosure relate to allocating electronic resources. In some arrangements, a server configures allocable electronic resources for a live streaming room in response to receiving a first configuration request from a first client. The first configuration request is configured to indicate a first configuration operation performed by an anchor to the live streaming room, and the allocable electronic resources are associated to a target commodity corresponding to the live streaming room. The server acquires an allocation request sent by a second client, wherein the allocation request is triggered by an interactive operation of an audience of the second client in the live streaming room. The server allocates an electronic resource from the allocable electronic resources to the audience of the second client, in response to the allocation request, wherein the allocated electronic resource is used by the audience for completing an order operation about the target commodity.
