SECURE MULTI-TENANT CLOUD SUBSCRIPTION SHARING
The disclosed techniques improve the efficiency and functionality of cloud services by providing a system for sharing individual subscriptions among multiple tenants. A cloud service provider utilizes a location-based manager to retrieve a pool of subscriptions from a cloud platform. Individual subscriptions within the pool can define a set of cloud resources for a resource unit such as a server farm. The location-based manager can assign one or multiple subscriptions for a resource unit to share amongst multiple tenants. In this way, security boundaries between individual tenants can be maintained while also dramatically reducing the number of subscriptions a cloud service provider must manage. In addition, by assigning subscriptions at the granularity of resource units rather than tenants, the location-based manager can enhance the security of the cloud platform by creating a logical zone about individual resource units to serve as an additional security boundary.
ENFORCEMENT OF TIME-BASED USER ACCESS LEVELS FOR COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTS
A system is provided for enforcing time-based user access levels in a computing infrastructure of an organization. The system includes a processor and a computer readable medium operably coupled thereto, to perform operations which include executing a synchronization of the time-based user access levels, obtaining a first login identifier (ID) of a plurality of login IDs for a group of employees of the organization, identifying a position ID and an employment status ID for the first login ID, determining a current time and a last login timestamp for the first login ID, determining a time-based access rule for the group of employees, determining whether a time period from the last login timestamp to the current time violates the time-based access rule, and setting, for the synchronization of the first login ID, at least a first access level of the first login ID to computing resources.
Providing alternate resource deployment guidance for use with cloud services
The present disclosure relates to devices, methods, and computer-readable medium for providing recommendations for alternate resources to use for cloud services. The devices, methods, and computer-readable medium may receive a resource allocation request for a new resource of a computing system and may predict an occurrence of a capacity related allocation for the resource allocation request. The devices, methods, and computer-readable medium may identify alternate resources to use for the resource allocation request and may provide recommendations with the alternate resources.
Enhance communication of network traffic
Techniques are disclosed relating to enhancing communication of network traffic. In various embodiments, a computer system receives topology information and traffic information. The topology information describes resources of a network that are usable to communicate a plurality of streams among nodes in the network and includes information about a first path and a second path connecting two nodes. Traffic information describes demands for communicating the plurality of streams and indicates demands for communicating a first stream and a second stream between the two nodes. In such an embodiment, the computer system determines, using the topology information and the traffic information, a network schedule that indicates that the first stream is to be communicated over the first path and that the second stream is to be communicated over the second path.
Interoperable cloud based media processing using dynamic network interface
A method of processing media content in Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) Network Based Media Processing (NBMP) includes obtaining a plurality of tasks for processing the media content, providing an interface between an NBMP workflow manager and a cloud manager by providing an NBMP Link application program interface (API), which links the plurality of tasks together, identifying an amount of network resources to be used for processing the media content, by using the NBMP Link API, and processing the media content in accordance with the identified amount of network resources.
REGULATION METHODS FOR PROXY SERVICES
Systems and methods to manage and regulate the requests of multiple proxy clients are disclosed. In one aspect, the system and methods disclosed herein aids in configuring proxy server(s) with a rate-limit functionality. Configuration of the rate-limit functionality may be realized by, but not limited to, installing configuration file(s) and/or software application(s) on the proxy server(s). The configuration provides information about the list of restricted and unrestricted domains and their respective request limit specification in a given time frame. Therefore, each time before a proxy server forwards the clients' requests to a target domain, the proxy server checks and ensures that the request count to the particular target domain is well within the limit specified in the request limit specification. Thus, the embodiments described herein aid in preventing the IP addresses of proxy service providers from being blocked or denied from the target websites.
End-to-end service level metric approximation
Described are examples for providing service level monitoring for a network hosting applications as a cloud service. A service level monitoring device may receive end-to-end measurements of service usage collected at user devices for a plurality of applications hosted as a cloud services. The service level monitoring device may determine degraded applications of the plurality of applications based on anomalies in the measurements. The service level monitoring device may determine a service level metric based on an aggregation of the degraded applications. In some examples, the service level monitoring device may detect a network outage affecting the service.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CLASSIFYING RESOURCES TO NICHE MODELS
A system for classifying resources to niche models includes a computing device configured to receive a plurality of resource data corresponding to a plurality of resources, generate a plurality of resource models, generating a resource model corresponding to the resource as a function of the plurality of resource data and the merit quantitative field, compute a niche model having a plurality of niche data and an output quantitative field, combine the niche model with at least a selected resource model corresponding to a selected resource of the plurality of resources by classifying the output quantitative field to at least a selected merit quantitative field of the resource model and a niche datum of the plurality of niche data to at least a datum of the plurality of resource data, and provide an indication of the at least a selected resource model to a client device of the niche model.
