UNLOCKING COMPUTING RESOURCES FOR DECOMPOSABLE DATA CENTERS

Techniques for sending Compute Express Link (CXL) packets over Ethernet (CXL-E) in a composable data center that may include disaggregated, composable servers. The techniques may include receiving, from a first server device, a request to bind the first server device with a multiple logical device (MLD) appliance. Based at least in part on the request, a first CXL-E connection may be established for the first server device to export a computing resource to the MLD appliance. The techniques may also include receiving, from the MLD appliance, an indication that the computing resource is available, and receiving, from a second server device, a second request for the computing resource. Based at least in part on the second request, a second CXL-E connection may be established for the second server device to consume or otherwise utilize the computing resource of the first server device via the MLD appliance.

A method for processing data packets in a communication network includes establishing a path for a flow of the data packets through the communication network. At a node along the path having a plurality of aggregated ports, a port is selected from among the plurality to serve as part of the path. A label is chosen responsively to the selected port. The label is attached to the data packets in the flow at a point on the path upstream from the node. Upon receiving the data packets at the node, the data packets are switched through the selected port responsively to the label.

SERVICE PACKET FORWARDING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM

This application discloses a service packet forwarding method, an apparatus, and a computer storage medium. In the method, when receiving a packet sent by any second virtual resource module connected to a first SFF, the first SFF dynamically determines a forwarding path of the packet based on configuration information of a second virtual resource module for implementing a second service function, to implement dynamic load balancing on the packet instead of uniformly performing load balancing by a service function chain ingress node, so as to reduce pressure on the service function chain ingress node.

METHODS FOR CAPACITY PROVISIONING IN WIDE AREA NETWORKS USING OPTICAL BYPASSING

Systems and methods are provided for determining an optical bypass for an inter-regional wide area network (WAN) for regions of server facilities of a cloud service provider. In particular, the optical bypass connects non-adjacent regional server centers of the WAN by eliminating needs of data conversions at intermediate regional server centers. The determining the optical bypass includes receiving a WAN topology data, capacity and demand information about the WAN. The determining includes an objective function to maximize a number of network resources to free up by determining a revised data flow and bandwidth allocations by introducing the optical bypass in the WAN. The disclosed technology transmits the determined data traffic flow and resource allocation information of the optical bypass, causing a network traffic enforcers to reconfigure the WAN.

Machine-learning infused network topology generation and deployment

Techniques are described herein for deploying, monitoring, and modifying network topologies comprising various computing and network nodes deployed across multiple workload resource domains. A deployment system may receive operational data from a network topology deployed across multiple workload resource domains, such as public or private cloud computing environments, on-premise data centers, and the like. The operational data may be provided to a trained machine-learning model, and output from the trained model may be used, along with constraint inputs and resource inventories of the workload resource domains, to determine updated topology models which may be deployed within the workload resource domains.

Interfaces for service requests in a balloon network

Example embodiments may relate to web interfaces for a balloon-network. For example, a computing device may display a graphical interface that that includes one or more interface features to receive a request for use of bandwidth of a balloon network. In particular, the computing device may receive, via the graphical interface, input data corresponding to a bandwidth request for a first location, where the bandwidth request includes: (i) an indication of the first location and (ii) an indication of time. Subsequently, the computing device may receive an indication corresponding to whether or not the bandwidth request is accepted, where acceptance of the bandwidth request is based at least in part on expected movement of one or more balloons from a plurality of balloons in the balloon network. As such, the computing device may display, on the graphical interface, the indication corresponding to whether or not the bandwidth request is accepted.

Systems and methods to reserve resources is provided. In exemplary embodiments, a selection of a profile from a user is received. A dynamic graphical user interface is generated, using one or more processors. The dynamic graphical user interface allows the user to configure a topology based on the selected profile. The dynamic graphical user interface provides input fields in which the user may select a resource. An indication of the selected applicable topology property for configuring the topology is received. A topology is automatically generating based in part on the selected applicable topology property.

Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for managing resources to deliver a network service in a distributed configuration. A method includes an operation for identifying resources for delivering a network service, the resources being classified by geographic area. Further, the method includes operations for selecting service agents to configure the identified resources, each service agent to manage service pools for delivering the network service across at least one geographic area, the service agents being selected to provide configurability for the service pools. The method further includes operations for sending configuration rules, to the service agents, configured to establish service pools for delivering the network service across the geographic areas. Service traffic information is collected from the service agents, and the resources are adjusted based on the collected service traffic information. Updated respective configuration rules are sent to each determined service agent based on the adjusting.
