Method of providing management and control of hotspots with reduced messaging
Methods, systems, and computer readable media are operable to reduce the messaging needed for efficient control of hotspot activities. A database associating hotspots, their hosting broadband home gateways and their Wireless Access Gateways (WAGs) is developed by a monitor that inspects traffic to and from the access points. The monitor provides a WAG monitoring services to the broadband home gateways that reduces the amount of network traffic, while still allowing broadband access gateways to appropriately enable to disable their hotspots with the corresponding condition of the associated WAGs.
Controller and method for setting up communication links to redundantly operated controllers in an industrial automation system
A method for setting up communication links to redundantly operated controllers in an industrial automation system, in which a first controller is in an active operating state for controlling or regulating a technical process, and a second controller is in a reserve operating state, from which it is placeable into an active operating state in the event the first controller fails, where the first/second controllers respectively store a device identifier associated with the first/second controllers, information about associations between device names and communication network addresses of the first/second controllers is provided in accordance with a name service protocol within at least one subnetwork associated with the first/second controllers, and where retrieval of a piece of address or name information for one of the two controllers involves automatically providing the piece of address or name information to setup a communication link to the other controller based on the respective device identifier.
Operating method, apparatus and system for media stream transmission key
An operating method for a media stream transmission key includes: detecting, by a media gateway, lifetime status information of a media stream transmission key; and when the media gateway determines that a lifetime of the media stream transmission key expires, executing, by the media gateway, a media stream transmission key lifetime expiry behavior according to an instruction of a media gateway controller. The embodiments of the present invention fill a technical gap that an operation is performed on a lifetime status of a media stream transmission key in an architecture where an MG and an MGC are separated.
Circuit-switched and multimedia subsystem voice continuity
The present invention moves service control, including call control, for a user element from a cellular network to a multimedia subsystem (MS), such as the Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Call control is provided by the MS irrespective of whether the user element is using cellular or WLAN access for the call. Call control for originating and terminating calls in the CS or MS as well as transferring calls between a circuit-switched subsystem (CS) and MS is anchored at a continuity control function (CCF) in the MS. All call signaling for the call is passed through the CCF. The CCF is a service provided in the user element's home MS and anchors the user element's active CS calls and MS sessions to enable active roaming across the CS and MS.
Set buffer state instruction
Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.
Routing of sessions to other communication networks
System, methods, nodes, and instruction set for routing a session invitation from a first network (101) to a second network (112) are described. The first network (101) and the second network (112) are interconnected via at least two points of interconnect (114, 120). A first control node (124) receives a session invitation to a first user equipment (106), both are part of the first network (101). The first control node (124) determines whether a breakout condition for routing of the session invitation to the second network (112) is fulfilled. If so, a second control node (128) of the first network (101) selects a point of interconnect (114, 120) to the second network (112), considering a capability information characterizing the first control node (124). Therefore the session invitation may be routed in an efficient way from the first network (101) to the second network (112).
Communication method, user equipment, access network device, and application server
A communication method, user equipment, an access network device, and an application server. The method is: allocating, by the access network device, an IP address to the UE; and after the UE notifies the IP address to the application server, performing, by the application server, a data transmission service for the UE by using the IP address. By using the technical solutions of the present invention, a PDN-GW, an SGW, a PCRF entity, an MME, and an HSS in an existing wireless communications network are deleted, and functions of the foregoing network side devices are implemented by using the access network device and the application server. Therefore, it is avoided that an SGW-to-PDN-GW link becomes a bottleneck of a processing capability of the wireless communications network, network layers are greatly reduced, a data transmission delay is effectively reduced, and a network paralysis risk is reduced.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AUTOMATED PROGRESS UPDATES IN A CONTACT CENTER
Providing automated progress updates in a contact center including detecting an activity by a resource of the contact center related to a customer interaction occurring via a customer communications channel between the resource and a customer. The activity comprises an interaction between the resource and one or more additional resources associated with the contact center occurring via a second communications channel. In response to detecting the activity by the resource, a notification comprising a progress update related to the customer interaction is automatically generated. The notification is transmitted, via the customer communications channel, to a customer device associated with the customer interaction.
Dynamic VoIP routing and adjustment
Systems and processes are provided for dynamically adjusting and routing signals and communications. According to one aspect, one or more codecs applied to the signals may be switched or changed to manage signal quality. According to another aspect, communications may be re-routed to an intended recipient entirely over the Internet. The systems and processes described herein are especially well suited for use in connection with detention environments.
