CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A VOIP TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method of establishing a communication link between a mobile terminal of a wireless network and a subscriber of a network, such as an enterprise network, and/or a residential network.
Network path redirection
A method for directing network traffic includes, at a network device, receiving network traffic provided by one or more client computing devices. The network device directs the network traffic to a service entity over a first network path. A path quality indicator is received that indicates whether the network traffic directed over the first network path satisfies one or more experience criteria. Based at least on the path quality indicator indicating that the network traffic directed over the first network path does not satisfy the one or more experience criteria, the network device redirects some or all of the network traffic to the service entity over a second network path.
SEAMLESS TRANSITION OF SOURCE OF MEDIA CONTENT
In one aspect, a playback device is configured to (i) receive a first stream of audio data representing audio content from a computing system, (ii) detect an indication that a source of the audio content is to switch from the computing system to a user device; (iii) after detecting the indication, establish a point-to-point wireless link with the user device over which to receive a second stream of audio data; (iv) receive the second stream of audio data representing the audio content; (v) determine a future time at which to transition from playing back the audio content using the first stream of audio data to playing back the audio content using the second stream of audio data; and (vi) at the future time, transition from playing back the audio content using the first stream of audio data to playing back the audio content using the second stream of audio data.
Method for changing mobile network
A method for changing mobile networks is described. The method may include detecting a need to switch a communication in which a terminal is participating, from a first mobile network to a second mobile network connected to the same IP network; transmission of the IMSI identifier of the terminal, by a first management center of the first mobile network to a second management center of the second mobile network; sending the IMSI identifier to the core of the IP network from the second management center; receiving a request containing the IMSI identifier by an access transfer control entity; and identifying the contact address of the terminal using the IMSI identifier. A recording server in charge of the terminal has previously obtained the IMSI identifier and sent it to the access transfer control entity.
Device, system and method for providing audio summarization data from video
An example device: transmits, to one or more receiving terminals, first frames of video captured by a video camera; determines, after transmission of the first frames of the video, that a signal strength associated with the first network falls below a predetermined threshold; generates audio summarization data corresponding to one or more objects of interest identified in second frames of the video, the second frames captured by the video camera after the first frames; selects a portion of the audio summarization data based on a context associated with a receiving terminal of the one or more receiving terminals; and transmits, using the communication unit, via one or more of the first network and a second network, the portion of the audio summarization data to the receiving terminal.

Embodiments described herein relate to managing access to 5G cellular baseband resources for 5G-capable wireless devices. A wireless device can monitor application workloads by analyzing communication network performance requirements for a given application in-use or launching for future use along with system-level indications of overall device usage, battery level, and mobility status to determine whether access to 5G cellular baseband resources is recommended for an application. A 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is provided for an application indicating a level of bandwidth in current use or expected for future use as well as a confidence metric in the bandwidth level indication. The 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is used with additional device criteria to determine whether access to one or more 5G radio frequency bands is allowed.
Communication system
A communication entity includes a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF). The P-CSCF includes a transceiver and a controller. The transceiver is operable to receive a register request from a user equipment (UE) in a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN). The controller is operable to: retrieve a network identifier (PLMN ID) for the VPLMN by requesting the PLMN ID where the UE is currently located from a Policy Control Rule Function (PCRF); access a database to obtain a list of local emergency numbers for the VPLMN; and include the retrieved PLMN ID in the register request before forwarding the register request to a Call Session Control Function (CSCF).
On demand adjustment of group communications
A service with a plurality of communication sessions may be relocated from a first server to a second server based on performance indicators associated with the communication sessions, among other things.
VIDEO STREAMING ORCHESTRATOR
A streaming orchestrator may monitor the quality of video being delivered to a home or other building. If the streaming orchestrator determines that additional performance is needed, it may create an additional User Plane Gateway in the virtual “white box” environment residing in the customer premises. The streaming orchestrator may instruct gNodeBs to continue to route traffic back to the central core functions or to route traffic to local user plane gateways which transmit video streams to the Internet via localized high-speed connections.
CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A LEGACY TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
