Variable size linear video content buffers for uninterrupted handover in a multi-beam satellite system
Embodiments relate to systems and methods for modifying the transmission rate of media data in order to improve craft-based media playback system performance during handover events in a communication system.
Packaging content for delivery
Content segments may be generated/sent in a different format than the format they are stored/received. Timing information for packets comprising the content segments in the requested format may be based on timing information for packets comprising the content segment in the stored format. For example, the timing information of the first packet in the requested format may comprise the timing information of the first packet in the stored format. The timing information of other packets in the requested format may be based on the timing information of the first packet in the requested format.
NETWORK PATH REDIRECTION
A method for directing network traffic includes, at a network device, receiving network traffic provided by one or more client computing devices. The network device directs the network traffic to a service entity over a first network path. A path quality indicator is received that indicates whether the network traffic directed over the first network path satisfies one or more experience criteria. Based at least on the path quality indicator indicating that the network traffic directed over the first network path does not satisfy the one or more experience criteria, the network device redirects some or all of the network traffic to the service entity over a second network path.
SECURE INTER-MOBILE NETWORK COMMUNICATION
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method, comprising: receiving a first message from a service-consuming second network entity in a second mobile network for a service-providing first network entity in a first mobile network, the first message comprising a first callback resource identifier, generating a second callback resource identifier on the basis of the first callback resource identifier, wherein the second callback resource identifier comprises a domain name of a security edge node in the first network, and transferring a callback message from the first network entity to the security edge node, the callback message comprising the second callback resource identifier.
Video streaming orchestrator
A streaming orchestrator may monitor the quality of video being delivered to a home or other building. If the streaming orchestrator determines that additional performance is needed, it may create an additional User Plane Gateway in the virtual white box environment residing in the customer premises. The streaming orchestrator may instruct gNodeBs to continue to route traffic back to the central core functions or to route traffic to local user plane gateways which transmit video streams to the Internet via localized high-speed connections.
Enhancements of VoWi-Fi Handover From ePDG to LTE When VoNR is Not Supported
Various aspects include methods for supporting handover of a Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) (VoIP) call, such as a Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) call, with a user equipment (UE). Various aspects may enable VoWi-Fi call handover from support via an evolved Packet Data Gateway (ePDG) to support via Long Term Evolution (LTE) when Voice over New Radio (NR) (VoNR) is not supported by a User Equipment (UE) computing device and/or a fifth generation (5G) standalone (SA) (5G SA) network in which the UE is located.
Service Based P-CSCF Discovery
The present disclosure enables a UE (100) to discover a P-CSCF (85) in the IMS network based on the services offered by the P-CSCF or the area served by the P-CSCF (85) when it establishes a data session. The P-CSCF (85) registers with a discovery node (70) in the wireless communication network (10) and provides relevant information about the P-CSCF (85) to the discovery node (70), such as the type of services provided, its network address and/or FQDN, a list of cells supported, and a list of tracking areas supported. When a request is received to establish a session with the IMS for a UE, the SMF (45) in the wireless communication network (10) queries the discovery node (70) to fetch the P-CSCF (85) information and forwards the P-CSCF information to the requesting UE. The UE (100) selects a P-CSCF (85) to use when it initiates IMS registration.
SIP PROXY SERVER, COMMUNICATION METHOD AND SIP PROXY PROGRAM
An SIP proxy server 1 includes a forking termination unit 21. The forking termination unit 21 is configured to: in response to receiving an Initial INVITE request message from a originating-side network 6, transmit the Initial INVITE request message to an incoming-side network 7, and in response to receiving an 18X response message at the first time from the incoming-side network, transmit the 18X response message received at the first time to the originating-side network 6. The forking termination unit 21 establishes Early dialog #0 between the SIP proxy server and the originating-side network 6 and establishes Early Dialog #1 that is compatible with an incoming-side terminal 3 that is a transmission source of an 18X response message received at the first time. In response to receiving 18X response message at the second time from the incoming-side network 7, the forking termination unit 21 establishes Early Dialog #2 that is compatible with the incoming-side terminal 3 that is a transmission source of the 18X response message received at the second time.
5G NR Voice Call EPS Fallback Enhancements
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for EPS fallback when initiating a voice call while camped on a 5G cell. The UE may camp on a 5G network by performing an IMS registration procedure/IMS SIP invite procedure with an IMS. The UE may initiate a voice call and determine that the voice call cannot be established over the 5G NR network. In response, the UE may perform a TAU procedure or an attachment procedure with a cell of a 4G network. The IMS may be transferred to the 4G network during TAU/attachment procedure. The UE may, in response to determining that it is barred from the 4G network, transition back to the 5G network and transmit, to the 5G NR network, a SIP cancel request to allow a context associated with the UE to be cleared from the IMS.
ECOSYSTEM-BASED WIRELESS NETWORK SETUP
Various arrangements for configuring wireless network access for a first wireless device using a previously-configured second wireless device are presented. The first wireless device may output a temporary wireless network hotspot and advertise an identifier. A second wireless device may search for and identify the first wireless device based on the advertised identifier. The second wireless device may connect with the temporary wireless network hotspot and provide wireless network credentials for a wireless network for which the second wireless device has previously been granted access. The first wireless device may then establish a network connection with the wireless network based on the wireless network credentials transmitted by the second wireless device.
