Switching Between Transmitting a Preauthored Video Frame and a Composited Video Frame

A method includes transmitting a first preauthored video frame of a plurality of preauthored video frames to a client device. The first preauthored video frame is associated with a preauthored media object. The method includes providing a request for a composited video frame to an interactive source device. The request includes a temporal characteristic associated with the first preauthored video frame. The method includes, in response to providing the request, obtaining, from the interactive source device, the composited video frame including customizable video content and preauthored video content. The preauthored video content is associated with a portion of the preauthored media object based on the temporal characteristic. The method includes, in response to detecting that the first preauthored video frame and the composited video frame together satisfy a switching condition, transmitting the composited video frame to the client device after transmitting the first preauthored video frame to the client device.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOBILE DEVICE AS TEMPORARY CONTENT ORIGIN

Methods and systems are described for content delivery. A user of a first computing device that is playing back content may want to transfer or cast the content to a second computing device. When the first computing device receives the request to cast the content to the second computing device, the content may continue to be received and played back by the first computing device while it establishes a seamless transition to the second computing device. The first computing device may contact the content origin and send to the second computing device a manifest file that instructs the second computing device to request an initial portion of the segments of the content from the first computing device. The content origin may then process the cast request from the first computing device and begin providing subsequent segments of content to the second computing device.

Scalable real-time videoconferencing over WebRTC
20170359187 · 2017-12-14 ·

A WebRTC-compliant media server avoids sharing the SSRCs of passive participants (namely, the video viewers who do not send video) by intercepting feedback packets (issued from the viewers) on the server side, modifying those packets, and then transmitting the modified packets back to the sender such that, when the sender receives these feedback packets, the sender treats the packets as if they were sent by a known SSRC. Preferably, the known SSRC is one that is associated with a single SSRC (e.g., a dummy or surrogate SSRC, or a technical SSRC, in either event that was previously shared with the video sender). The sender knows how to handle these packets and can then send the desired answer to the viewer(s) to maintain the conference stable and operational even as the number of participants grows and exceeds the SSRC peer limitations.

COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING AUDIO LEAKAGE
20230199040 · 2023-06-22 ·

The present disclosure provides novel systems and methods of suppressing audio leakage in watch-together sessions. In an embodiment, a device is provided comprising a speaker, a microphone, a media player configured to provide a first media content audio, and a peer to peer (“P2P”) communications engine including a local loopback module and a conferencing module. The local loopback module configured to receive the first media content audio, provide a second media content audio, and amplify, using the speaker, the second media content audio, and the conferencing module configured to capture, using the microphone, captured conference audio, the captured conference audio including the second media content audio, and transmit to a modified captured conference audio; wherein the P2P communications engine is configured to generate the modified captured conference audio by suppressing the second content audio from the captured conference audio.

Methods and apparatuses for dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP

Aspects of the disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for receiving media data. One apparatus includes processing circuitry that receives a media presentation description (MPD) file that includes an essential property descriptor indicating a session-based description (SBD) file. The essential property descriptor includes an attribute that indicates a class for a uniform resource locator (URL) request used for requesting a resource. The class identifies a type of the requested resource. The processing circuitry generates the URL request based on the SBD file and the class indicated in the attribute included in the essential property descriptor. The processing circuitry sends the URL request to a server to request the resource of which the type is identified based on the class of the URL request.

REMOTE ACCESS WITH MAN-IN-THE-MIDDLE ATTACK-PREVENTION
20230188562 · 2023-06-15 · ·

A method of enabling a remote access to a first network device from a second network device includes the second device generating a data item signed by a network service trusted by the first device, and including a fingerprint of a public key of the second device. The signed data item is sent to the first device via a signalling service, SIGS, as part of a negotiation of terms for a peer-to-peer connection. The first device uses the received signed data item to verify that the terms it receives from the SIGS has not been tampered with by the SIGS, in order to prevent the SIGS from performing a Man-In-The-Middle attack. Various network devices and a network system are also provided.

CLIENT AUTHORITATIVE STATE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
20230188609 · 2023-06-15 ·

A process includes establishing a peer-to-peer connection between a first client computing device and a second client computing device. The first client computing device is associated with a first participant in a coordinate grid environment provided by an application and the second client computing device is associated with a second participant in the coordinate grid environment. The process includes determining that a coordinate grid state of the first participant has experienced a state change, and in response, providing at least a portion of first participant state information associated with the state change from the first client computing device to the second client computing device via the peer-to-peer connection such that the at least the portion of the first participant state information updates previously stored first participant state information of the first participant maintained by the second participant associated with the second client computing device.

System and method for processing a content stream in a peer-to-peer video conferencing system
20230179644 · 2023-06-08 ·

A system and method for transferring content streams in a peer-to-peer network is provided. The system may first process and manipulate, through resizing, compression and frame limitations, a source content stream through a stream processor and into a destination canvas before being sent to a peer connection. The source content may be manipulated differently for a plurality of peer connections through associated stream processors. The system may further dynamically connect to a plurality of peers of a network and requests a list of requirements for selecting a preferable stream broadcaster. The selection may use the bandwidth available for streaming and the geolocation of the participants.
