Communication management
Disclosed is a method for managing a communication of a terminal device. In the method it is determined if the terminal device executes an active communication connection carrying voice data over a public switched telephone network, in response to a determination that the terminal device executes the active communication connection inactivating a voice portion of a communication session over a communication network implementing IP based communication, and in response to a determination that the terminal device does not execute the active communication connection activating the voice portion of the communication session over the communication network implementing IP based communication. Also disclosed is a terminal device, a computer program product and a system.
Method and device for downloading audiovisual content
A method and a device for downloading an audiovisual content from a data network. A description file describing the sub-dividing of the audiovisual content into a set of segments includes at least two pieces of information representative of respectively two segment download paths, each piece of information representative of a download path being associated with a network interface, and at least two network interfaces being distinct. The downloading device obtains at least one piece of information on distribution of requests for downloading segments by network interface, and for at least one segment of the audiovisual content to be downloaded, it selects a network interface from among the network interfaces associated with the download paths included in the description file, as a function of the information on distribution of requests obtained. A segment download request is then sent via the selected network interface.
Updating user-specific application instances based on collaborative object activity
Updating user-specific instances of a second application for individual users of a group based on a data file for the second application being shared via a collaboration object that corresponds to the group within a first application. The instances of the second application present each individual user with their own custom user experience that is configured to provide access to specific content based on object permissions data. An application extension is executable, by the first application, to extend content editing functionalities of the second application into the collaboration object. Responsive to specific content being associated with the collaboration object via the application extension, each of the instances of the second application may be automatically updated to provide direct access to the specific content. Thus, each user within the group defined for collaboration object can access the data file via the collaboration object and their own instance of the second application.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING USER ACCESS TO MULTIMEDIA CONTENT FOR ONLINE CONFERENCES USING METADATA
A method and system for managing user access to a multimedia content for an online conference using metadata is disclosed. In some embodiments, the method includes identifying a plurality of contexts for each of a plurality of conference data streams extracted from the multimedia content. The method further includes generating a plurality of metadata types based on the plurality of contexts associated with each of the plurality of conference data streams, providing a plurality of options corresponding to the plurality of metadata types to a user for accessing a section of interest in the plurality of conference data streams, receiving at least one selected option from the plurality of options by the user and validating the user access to one or more of the plurality of conference data streams based on the at least one selected option and access rights associated with the user.
Electronic tool and methods for meetings between multiple users
An electronic meeting tool for communicating arbitrary media content multiple users at a meeting. The method including communicating first user selected arbitrary media content to a base unit of a wireless communications network, the first user selected arbitrary media content being scaled to fill an available central display canvas of a first display coupled to the base unit. The method also including connecting a third peripheral device to third port of a third processing device and communicating third user selected arbitrary media content to the base unit of the wireless communications network, and adding the third user selected arbitrary media content to the available central display canvas on a side of the displayed first user selected arbitrary media content to fill the available central display canvas without affecting an aspect ratio of the first user selected arbitrary media content and the third user selected arbitrary media content.
Methods and systems for utilizing multi-pane video communications in connection with document review
Systems and methods are disclosed for establishing a video connection between a client device and a support terminal while enabling the support terminal to concurrently push display element triggers to the client device through a separate connection. In particular, a display element trigger can cause the client device to display, within a dual pane display of the client device, a display element within one pane and a video chat in another pane. The display element can include a check deposit element that enables a user of the client device to capture one or more images of a check and then transmit the image(s) for deposit by the support terminal during a video chat. The support terminal can analyze the image(s) of the check to identify check deposit data and then deposit the check accordingly while a support representative communicates with the user of the client device via the video chat.
Electronic tool and methods for meetings
An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting includes a node configuration adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit including a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, the program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger a transfer of the user selected arbitrary media content to the transmitter.
Sharing routine for suggesting applications to share content from host application
Content objects may be selected for sharing and shared across devices using a sharing routine and suggestion engine to provide suggestions of target applications to share the content objects and recipients with whom the content objects may be shared. A sharing routine may receive and analyze a sharing request and invoke a suggestion engine configured to generate application suggestions and/or recipient suggestions. The sharing routine may receive sets of application suggestions and/or recipient suggestions from a suggestion engine, modify and/or select subsets of the suggestions to be provided to user via a sharing user interface. In response to a user selection of applications and/or recipient via the user interface, the sharing routine may invoke the selected application for sharing, and provide the content object to the selected application.
TRANSFORMING COLLECTIONS OF CURATED WEB DATA
In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for surfacing collected web content are presented. A collection of web content may be maintained, wherein the collection of web content is divided into a plurality of sections, each of the plurality of sections comprising a subset of web content from a different webpage. An indication to export the collection of web content to a productivity application may be received. A plurality of attributes that each of the plurality of sections have a value for may be identified. A productivity application document may be populated with the plurality of attributes and the corresponding values from each of the sections.
ENABLING USER TO USER INTERACTIONS IN MULTI-USER VIDEO CONFERENCE APPLICATIONS
There are provided systems and methods for enabling user to user interactions in multi-user video conference applications. A user may utilize a computing device to interact with online service providers in order to initiate and/or join a video conference with one or more other users. During the video conference, the user may be provided with options to interact with other users, such as by engaging in electronic transaction processing. When performing such interactions, data for the video conference may be extracted and provided to a transaction processor server. The server may then utilize the data to determine accounts of users within the video conference that may be utilized for electronic transaction processing services. If no account exists, the server may initiate a process to onboard such users. When an account exists, the server may further populate graphical icons that may be used for electronic transaction processing services.
