Collaborative access to virtual desktops
A system is described for collaborative access to a virtual desktop through separate remote client devices. An owner of the virtual desktop can initiate a session with the virtual desktop through a client on her client device. The owner can request through her client to create a collaborative session, identifying one or more collaborators. Links for joining the virtual desktop can be generated and an invitation can be sent to each collaborator. A collaborator can accept the invitation and a client application can be launched on the collaborator's client and routed to the virtual desktop. Once authorized, collaborators can be connected to the virtual desktop session. Each collaborator in the session may view the GUI of the virtual desktop in her client application. Input control can be managed and delegated to collaborators by the owner of the session.

Automatic issue identification and status notification of screensharing in a virtual meeting
A system and method for automatically detecting issues during screensharing in an online meeting. The system and method allow automatic status notification of screensharing, which facilitates efficient and convenient use of virtual meetings. The system and method also use a live status indicator to provide constant and continuous data about the health of the ongoing screensharing session, which prevents computer and network resources waste on status inquiries. The system and method also recognize a problem/issue of the content-sharing and provide virtual meeting participants real-time action guidance to optimize the quality of content-sharing.

Proactive provision of new content to group chat participants
Techniques are described herein for automated assistants that proactively provide content to participant(s) of multi-participant message exchange threads (e.g., group chats, audio and/or video calls in which oral messages are transcribed for analysis, etc.) based on signals such as individual participant profiles associated with participant(s). In various implementations, automated assistant(s) that may not be explicitly invoked may analyze content of a message exchange thread involving multiple human participants and/or document(s) associated with the message exchange thread. Based on the analyzing, the automated assistant(s) may identify topic(s) pertinent to the message exchange thread. Based on individual participant profiles associated with the participants, the automated assistant(s) may identify shared interest(s) of the participants. The automated assistant(s) may then select new content based both on the pertinent topic(s) and the shared interest(s) of the participants and proactively provide the new content to one or more of the participants.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION WHILE ACCESSING NETWORK RESOURCES
Systems and methods are configured to receive an indication that an anchor is to be positioned at a first location on a webpage. An interaction rule associated with the anchor is received, comprising a rule that content is to be displayed in response to the webpage being scrolled to a first position. A preview of the webpage is generated with the anchor at the first location in conjunction with the previewed webpage. Automatically generated code is configured to cause the anchor to be visible at the first location of the webpage when accessed by a user browser. In response to activation of a publication control, the code is embedded in the webpage, wherein in response to a first user browser of a first user device accessing the webpage, and the first user scrolling the webpage to the first position, the content specified by the content specification is rendered.

Conversational social network
Systems and methods for setting up live online conversations between people, and selecting participants for such conversations in a manner that optimizes the enjoyment of the participants. Conversations are analyzed and attributes of participants and conversations are extracted from the audio of the conversations. A quality level of the conversations is determined from the audio, and subjective quality assessments may be received from participants. Participants and conversations are divided into classes and clusters, where the classes and clusters represent groups of entities which have certain attributes in common. Based on the attributes, classes, clusters, and quality levels, compatibilities are determined between arbitrary pairs of participants and for arbitrary groups of participants. Conversations are generated, and participants are selected for the conversations based on the determined compatibilities.

VIDEO-BASED PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSING INTEGRATED INTO VIRTUAL CONFERENCES
Systems and methods for providing a user characteristic to a service provider for a virtual conference with a user are provided. In particular, a computing device may collect raw media data associated with the user during the virtual conference between the user and the service provider. During the virtual conference, the computing device may perform a first processing of the raw media data to extract intermediate user data, wherein the intermediate user data comprises one or more of a physiological signal and a behavioral signal associated the user. The computing device may further transform the raw media data into transformed media data and transmit the transformed media data with the intermediate user data to a server for second processing of the intermediate user data.
