VEHICLE CAMERA PERIPHERAL
A vehicle camera peripheral. It has a frame having a surface for supporting a license plate, at least one compartment for containing a battery and a circuit board having a wireless transmitter and video transmission circuitry, the compartment provided in the frame and positioned behind the license plate supporting surface, a camera mounted to the frame and connected to the circuit board, and a mounting for connecting the frame to existing license plate fastening devices of a vehicle.
Communication device and data processing method
A packet reception state monitoring unit calculates a target stored data number as a target number of audio packets stored in a memory based on the variation in the reception intervals of audio packets, and a reproduction control unit controls the audio reproduction speed in accordance with the difference between the target stored data number and a memory-stored data number. When the memory-stored data number is smaller than the target stored data number, reproduction control is performed in a low-speed reproduction mode at a lower speed than a regular reproduction speed. When the memory-stored data number is larger than the target stored data number, reproduction control is performed in a high-speed reproduction mode at a higher speed than the regular reproduction speed. A reproduction speed changing process is performed, with hysteresis being given to transitions of the difference between the memory-stored data number and the target stored data number.
MANAGING CONCURRENT STREAMING OF MEDIA STREAMS
A system and method are provided for managing a concurrent streaming of a first media stream (031) and a second media stream (032). The media streams (031, 032) represent different recordings of an event. The concurrent streaming of the media streams (031, 032) is enabled by a resource having a resource limitation (080). To address this resource limitation, when it is determined that the resource limitation is exceeded by the concurrent streaming of the first media stream (031) streaming to a first streaming client (041) and the second media stream (032) streaming to a second streaming client (042), the first media stream (031) is selected for substituting the second media stream (032) in the streaming to the second streaming client (042). As a result of the substitution, the first and the second streaming client (041, 042) stream the same media stream rather than different media streams. This may have as advantage that the allocation of the resource is reduced, since the streaming of a same media stream to different streaming clients (041, 042) typically represents a lower resource allocation than the streaming of different media streams to different streaming clients.
LARGE SCALE GROUP COMMUNICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for providing large-scale group communications and, more particularly, to a method and system for providing a real-time service to a plurality of geographically distributed terminals on the same session with little degrading in image quality.
A large-scale group communication method according to at least one embodiment may include connecting each of a plurality of geographically distributed terminals to one of a plurality of distributed data transfer systems (DTS) on a same session and transmitting respective media data through the connected DTS.
Managing a Jitter Buffer Size
It is presented a method for managing a jitter buffer depth for receiving real-time communication. The method is performed in a receiver and comprises the steps of: determining an adaptive bitrate state of the receiver when a current capacity of a communication channel for receiving the real-time communication is below a maximum bitrate for receiving the real-time communication; and increasing a depth of a jitter buffer for receiving the real-time communication when the adaptive bitrate state is determined.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ADAPTIVE AR STREAMING SERVICE
A system for providing an adaptive AR streaming service may comprise: a cloud AR server that stores an AR object composed of a plurality of progressive mesh chunks, and a meta file including property information of the AR object and the progressive mesh chunks; and a mobile augmented reality (AR) device that requests and receives the meta file from the cloud AR server, parses the meta file to identify a property of the AR object, and implements augmented reality.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING MEDIA DATA COMMUNICATIONS OVER A NETWORK
Systems and methods are disclosed for improving transmission of media data contained in data packets in a media session established over a network. According to certain embodiments, a first server can determine that at least one media quality metric associated with the media session is below one or more pre-determined thresholds, the at least one media quality metric being indicative of a media quality. The first server can also obtain identification information associated with the media session, provide the identification information to a second server, receive, from the second server data, related to a transmission of data packets, and media data contained in the data packets. The first server can determine configurations based on the received data related to a transmission of data packets. At least one of the first and second servers can be configured based on the determined configurations to provide a pre-determined media quality.
Content Placements for Coded Caching of Video Streams
A method implemented by a network element (NE) configured as a coordinated content coding using caches (c4) coordinator, the method comprising receiving, via a receiver of the NE, a first request from a first remote NE requesting a first file, receiving, via the receiver, a second request from a second remote NE requesting a second file, aggregating, via a processor of the NE, the first request and the second request according to first cache content information of the first remote NE and second cache content information of the second remote NE to produce an aggregated request, and sending, via a transmitter of the NE, the aggregated request to a content server to request a single common delivery of the first file and the second file with coded caching.
Meta data information providing server, client apparatus, method of providing meta data information, and method of providing content
An apparatus and/or a method for efficiently providing meta data information regarding content and the content to a user includes connecting to a meta data information providing server that provides meta data of at least one content, receiving fundamental meta data information including connection information, which is provided for retrieval of content, from the meta data information providing server, and, when predetermined content is selected, connecting to one of the content providing servers that provide the selected content using the connection information and obtaining the selected content from the connected content providing server. Thus, it is possible to rapidly access a content providing server that provides user desired content using fundamental meta data information received from a meta data.
Balance management of scalability and server loadability for internet protocol (IP) audio conference based upon monitored resource consumption
Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to audio stream management in an audio conferencing server and provide a method, system and computer program product for balancing audio server loadability and audio server scalability based upon monitored resource consumption. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for balancing audio server loadability and audio server scalability based upon monitored resource consumption can be provided. The method can include monitoring computing conditions in an audio conferencing server receiving encoded audio packets from coupled Internet Protocol (IP) audio clients and routing the encoded audio packets as audio streams to the IP audio clients, and responsive to detecting deteriorating computing conditions in the audio conferencing server, reducing a number of the audio streams forwarded to the IP audio clients by the audio conferencing server.
