METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SPATIAL RENDERING OF MULTI-USER VOICE COMMUNICATION
An illustrative application executing on a first device establishes a first network connection between the first device and a collaboration platform server managing a set of components for a collaboration platform providing voice communication services with respect to a virtual space. Using the first network connection, the application: 1) sets a first location within the virtual space at which a first voice component is positioned, and 2) determines a second location within the virtual space at which a second voice component is positioned. The application receives, by way of a second network connection between the first and second devices, audio data representing voice communication originating at the second device. Based on the first and second locations, the application generates a spatialized rendering of the audio data for presentation to a user. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
Connection method for smart home device and apparatus thereof
A method and apparatus are provided for connecting a user equipment to electronic devices. The method includes receiving, for a connection to an electronic device, a first broadcast message transmitted by the electronic device according to a first communication mode, wherein the first broadcast message includes information indicating whether the electronic device supports a connection to the electronic device according to at least one of the first communication mode or a second communication mode that is different from the first communication mode; determining whether the electronic device supports the connection to the electronic device according to at least one of the first communication mode or the second communication mode based on the information; and establishing the connection to the electronic device according to the first communication mode or the second communication mode based on a result of the determining.
Synchronized playback and control of media
Methods and systems provide synchronized sharing of multimedia between multiple devices. The multiple devices may form an ad-hoc network for sharing of multimedia. In an embodiment, group members may have playlist manipulation privileges such as pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding, or adding tracks to the playlist. A system may stream or distribute content according to the shared playlist. Playback may be synchronized for group members so that everyone is exposed to a same part of the content as the same time.

Scheduling method, server, first peer node and computer-readable storage medium
A scheduling method includes: a server receiving a first request of a first peer (P2P) node; the first request containing service content; using position information on different network hierarchies of the first P2P node and the service content to determine at least one candidate P2P node for the first P2P node; the at least one candidate P2P node can provide a service for the first P2P node; the position information being position information generated on the basis of a network topology structure; using the at least one candidate P2P node to generate a candidate P2P node information list; P2P node information in the information list representing a transmission distance between the at least one candidate P2P node and the first P2P node; and returning the information list to the first P2P node. Further disclosed at the same time are a server, a first P2P node and a computer-readable storage medium.

Parallel prediction of multiple image aspects
Example embodiments that analyze images to characterize aspects of the images rely on a same neural network to characterize multiple aspects in parallel. Because additional neural networks are not required for additional aspects, such an approach scales with increased aspects.
Network devices using probes to test forwarding rules
A network switch having hardware thereon for transmitting probes to neighbor devices for exercising forwarding states (e.g., layer 2 and layer 3) on the switch. A light-weight agent resides on one or both of neighbor network devices and can be used to control the testing. Probe allocation can be managed locally on a source device based on a layer 3 routing table. One or more probes originating from the source network device (device A) from a local CPU are routed on the same network device A in hardware and sent out on a link towards a peer device (device B). Peer device B captures the probe using an Access Control List (ACL) hardware, and reflects the probe back to network device A on the ingress port. Network device A can then capture the reflected probe using ACL hardware and verifies the actual forwarding behavior applied on the probe packet.

MAGNETO-INDUCTIVE CHARGING AND COMMUNICATION IN ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Methods and devices useful in performing magneto-inductive charging and communication in the absence of a cellular and/or internet network connection are provided. By way of example, an electronic device includes inductive charging and communication circuitry configured to receive a signal configured to induce a charging function based at least in part on an inductive coil coupled to the inductive charging and communication circuitry. Inducing the charging function includes charging an energy storage component of the electronic device. The inductive charging and communication circuitry is also configured receive an indication to switch from the charging function to a communication function. The communication function is based at least in part on the inductive coil. The inductive charging and communication circuitry is further configured establish a communication link between the electronic device using the inductive coil to transmit and receive communication signals.
