Method for Configuring Service Node, Service Node Pool Registrars, and System
20230054562 · 2023-02-23 ·

A method for configuring a service node, a service node pool registrar, and a system are provided. In certain embodiments, the method includes receiving a service node query request sent by a management configuration device. The service node query request includes a service requirement. The service requirement is from a user or caused by a network change. The method further includes searching a service node database, to obtain service node information that matches the service node query request. The method further includes sending the matching service node information to the management configuration device, causing the management configuration device to perform network and service configuration on the matching service node according to network topology information that has been obtained and the matching service node information.

Agent-less replication management

Systems and methods for performing data protection operations including replication management or data copy operations. Agent-less data protections are performed. A management server is configured to perform data operations on a production host without installing an agent on the production host. A driver is adapted to aid in performing the data protection operations and communications between the management server and the driver such as commands are achieved via a storage array.

The present disclosure provides methods and systems for method for regulating access to syndicated data across multiple communication channels, including online and offline channels. A syndicated data item may be activated upon performance or completion of a user activity (e.g., online user activity, offline user activity, etc.). A syndicated data item may have one or more expiration conditions, wherein after expiration, the syndicated data item becomes unavailable for activation. The systems and methods may simultaneously or substantially simultaneously, in real-time or in near real-time, assess the expiration status of a syndicated data item delivered to a user across multiple communication channels, including online and offline channels.

CLOUD COMPUTE SCHEDULING USING A HEURISTIC CONTENTION MODEL

Technologies for contention-aware cloud compute scheduling include a number of compute nodes in a cloud computing cluster and a cloud controller. Each compute node collects performance data indicative of cache contention on the compute node, for example, cache misses per thousand instructions. Each compute node determines a contention score as a function of the performance data and stores the contention score in a cloud state database. In response to a request for a new virtual machine, the cloud controller receives contention scores for the compute nodes and selects a compute node based on the contention score. The cloud controller schedules the new virtual machine on the selected compute node. The contention score may include a contention metric and a contention score level indicative of the contention metric. The contention score level may be determined by comparing the contention metric to a number of thresholds. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

OPTIMIZING CLUSTERED FILESYSTEM LOCK ORDERING IN MULTI-GATEWAY SUPPORTED HYBRID CLOUD ENVIRONMENT
20230055511 · 2023-02-23 ·

In an approach for optimizing clustered filesystem lock ordering in multi-gateway supported hybrid cloud environment, a processor identifies a wide area network (WAN) caching gateway topology between a set of nodes distributed in a hybrid cloud environment. A processor identifies a token request made for accessing a file targeted for WAN caching across sites within the hybrid cloud environment. A processor analyzes an importance of block ranges of the token request. A processor assigns a weight to the token request in relative comparison with weights allocated to token requests made by other applications. A processor dynamically modifies a read-ahead algorithm used during token generation to generate tokens for the block ranges of the token request based on the WAN caching gateway topology.

VIRTUAL PHYSICAL DIGITAL TWIN ECOSYSTEM

A processor may receive a geofence perimeter of a geospatial region. The processor may analyze one or more objects within the geofence perimeter. The processor may generate a digital twin ecosystem. The digital twin ecosystem may include digital copies of the one or more objects. The processor may present a simulation of the digital twin ecosystem to a user.

TECHNIQUES FOR CONTENT DELIVERY IN APPLICATIONS

Aspects of the present disclosure provide for techniques enabling streamlined cross application content delivery by enabling a feature, along with a first application, to search, locate, and transmit data corresponding to a second application. For example, a user may utilize a smartphone, laptop, or some other device, to access the first application (e.g., email). The user may determine to transmit a document, which may be stored within a cloud-based database corresponding to a second application. Instead of switching from email to the second application, the first user may utilize the feature to search for, locate, and transmit the document within the first application. In some cases, the document may be transmitted as a uniform resource locator (URL), where the URL corresponds to a link to the document within the cloud-based database. Additionally or alternatively, the document may be transmitted as an attachment.
