TRANSACTION PROCESSING AT EDGE SERVERS IN A CONTENT DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
Various embodiments of apparatuses and methods for transaction processing at edge servers in a content distribution network (“CDN”) are described. In some embodiments, an edge server receives an initial request from a client for content associated with a particular origin, and then provides the content to the client. The edge server can then receive another request from the client that might include an indicator for transaction processing. The edge server determines that transaction processing is indicated for handling this new request, in some embodiments. The edge server can then send a transaction notification to the origin, receive a transaction continuation response from the origin, and then execute a data transaction with transaction entities that are distinct from the content distribution network and the origin, in some embodiments. If the transaction is successful, the edge server can notify the client and the origin of the successful transaction, in some embodiments.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE STATUS OF PROJECTS WITHIN A COLLABORATION ENVIRONMENT
Systems and methods to automatically update status of projects within a collaboration environment are described herein. Exemplary implementations may: manage environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment; determine status information for the individual projects; manage information defining project-level graphical user interfaces; update the individual project-level graphical user interfaces to reflect status information of the individual projects in the collaboration environment; and/or perform other operations.

Adaptive distribution method for hash operations
A method, apparatus, and system for join operations of a plurality of relations that are distributed over a plurality of storage locations over a network of computing components.

INTENT TRACKING FOR ASYNCHRONOUS OPERATIONS
Systems and methods are provided for intent tracking asynchronous operations. An example method can include receiving, at a content management system (CMS), a first request to perform an operation on a content item stored at the CMS; adding the request to perform the operation to a queue of operations to be processed by the CMS; and prior to completing the operation: receiving, from a client device associated with a user account registered at the CMS, a second request to access the content item; in response to the second request, determining a predicted state of the content item, the predicted state of the content item reflecting a result of performing the operation on the content item; and providing, to the client device, a response including the predicted state of the content item.
Linear view-change BFT
Techniques for implementing linear view-change in a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) protocol running on a distributed system comprising n replicas are provided. According to one set of embodiments, at a time of performing a view-change from a current view number v to a new view number v+1, a replica in the n replicas corresponding to a new proposer for new view number v+1 can generate a PREPARE message comprising a single COMMIT certificate, where the single COMMIT certificate is the highest COMMIT certificate the new proposer is aware of. The new proposer can then transmit the PREPARE message with the single COMMIT certificate to all other replicas in the n replicas.
User Interface Content State Synchronization Across Devices
Methods for synchronizing a client application user interface (UI) state of content of a client application on a client device corresponding with a host application on a host device are presented, the method including: receiving an update on the host application; transmitting a request for remote notification to the client device to synchronize the UI state of content of the client application responsive to receiving the event; displaying a notification corresponding with the request for remote notification on the client device indicating content is available to the client device; selecting the notification; launching the client application on the client device; transmitting a synchronizing request by the client device to the host device; enabling a synchronization mode of the host application; determining a host application UI state; transmitting content data associated with the UI state of the host application to the client device; and displaying the client application UI state based on the content data from the host device.

DATA REPLICATION TO MEET A RECOVERY POINT OBJECTIVE
A storage system performs data replication with a recovery point objective (RPO). The storage system replicates data at intervals through data transfers over a network. The storage system determines bandwidth of the network. The storage system determines the intervals for replicating the data, based on size of data transfers, network bandwidth, and the recovery point objective.
