An accessory communication control protocol can facilitate faster and more secure transmission of status updates from an accessory to a controller (or network base station). An accessory can register with a controller, where the controller can provide some subscription and key generation information to the accessory. The accessory can detect changes to characteristics of the accessory and generate a broadcast notification that includes updates to the state of the characteristic. The broadcast notification can also include a counter, a device identifier, and a key. According to timing or rules, the accessory can transmit the broadcast notification to the controller without the need to establish a secure session with the controller.

A method of displaying media content on a display screen of a communication device. The method includes receiving an indication of a state transition of a first Activity of an application program being executed on a processor of the communication device. The processor, in response to the indication, executes program code in order to monitor a memory state of the operating system so as to determine a user interface state associated with the first Activity. The processor further determines whether the first Activity is finishing based at least in part on the user interface state. Upon determining the first Activity is finishing, the processor causes the media content to be displayed upon further determining that a predetermined condition associated with the communication device exists.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UNOBTRUSIVELY DISPLAYING MEDIA CONTENT ON PORTABLE DEVICES
A method of displaying media content on a display screen of a communication device. In some embodiments, when the user visits the retail store, a computer generates a product recommendation, e.g. based on user-specific information, and a route in the retail store is determined for the user. In some embodiments, the route in the retail store may be determined using the model based on the target product, the user's location in the store, and one or more recommended products.
