A method for supporting hospital visits on a social network platform includes: detecting a user input for registering a visit at a hospital using a social network client application of the social network platform; in response to detecting the user input: obtaining a registration number for the visit, wherein the registration number indicates an ordinal position of the user in a hospital queue of multiple visitors to the hospital; and displaying a group chat interface for a group conversation including a social network identity of the user and a public social network identity of the hospital; and displaying a payment request for the visit in the group chat interface.

A method for providing watermark to subscribers is provided. The method comprises observing a request for a first content from a subscriber, determining if the subscriber can receive a watermark, generating a second content comprising the watermark if the subscriber can receive a watermark, causing the subscriber to fetch the first content, and causing the subscriber to fetch the second content comprising the watermark overlaying the first content.

An embodiment of the present application provides a user matching method, which includes: receiving first personal information sent by a current user; generating a first candidate peer information list according to the first personal information and providing the first candidate peer information list to the current user for selection; receiving at least one piece of first peer information selected by the current user from the first candidate peer information list; searching for a recommended user according to an information peer exchange principle, wherein the information peer exchange principle comprises that personal information of the recommended user matches with the at least one piece of first peer information selected by the current user, and the first personal information matches with at least one piece of first peer information selected by the recommended user; and providing information of the recommended user to the current user. Profile information for the identified user is located. The initiating device includes a display for presenting content to the user. An indication is received from an application running on the initiating device of an intent by the user to receive a first content item on a separate but co-located presentation device having enhanced presentation characteristics for presenting content. Additional content items are selected for delivery along with the first content item. The selection includes identifying a second different content item based on the profile information for the identified user and the enhanced presentation characteristics. The first and second different content items are delivered directly to the co-located presentation device without delivering the first and second different content items to the initiating device.

Techniques for implementing event proxies in a Functions-as-a-Service (FaaS) infrastructure are provided. In one set of embodiments, a computer system implementing an event proxy can receive an event emitted by an event source, where the computer system is part of a first computing cloud including the FaaS infrastructure, and where the event source is a software service running in a second computing cloud that is distinct from the first computing cloud. The computer system can translate the event from a first format understood by the event source to a second format understood by a function scheduler of the FaaS infrastructure, where the function scheduler is configured to schedule execution of functions on hosts of the FaaS infrastructure. The computer system can then make the translated event available to the function scheduler.

Techniques for implementing event proxies in a Functions-as-a-Service (FaaS) infrastructure are provided. In one set of embodiments, a computer system implementing an event proxy can receive an event emitted by an event source, where the computer system is part of a first computing cloud including the FaaS infrastructure, and where the event source is a software service running in a second computing cloud that is distinct from the first computing cloud. Systems and methods for asynchronous API-driven external application services for blockchain are provided. The blockchain may store profile data that permits asynchronous communications and data sharing among a plurality of trusted users, and an application server layer may act as a gateway to a blockchain system to selectively provide limited access to external application services to operate upon the blockchain data.
