Automated sequential site navigation

A website is navigated automatically in a sequential manner, for example by performing a series of specific network requests in a specified order, without necessarily using a browser, and without necessarily rendering each web page in the sequence. Interactions with a website are automatically recorded, stored, and analyzed. Requests and responses can be associated with particular in-put/output operations. Based on the analysis, the system can determine what data is expected by web servers, so that it can effectively simulate browser operations in connection with those web servers, and extract useful information from the data received in response to those operations. Thus, data extraction and/or other operations can be performed more efficiently and more quickly, while reducing the computing resources needed.

Local servers for managing an intermittent network

A method of managing an intermittent network includes, with a local network manager executed by a processor of a local server, managing at least one local client device to use the local server as a proxy server. The method includes, with an internet connection manager executed by the processor of the local server, transferring data between an internet and the local server based on a quality and speed of a connection to the internet, and, with an update manager, sending data downloaded from the internet by the local server to the local client device. The method includes, with an analytics manager, retrieving analytics data from the local client device. The local server restricts the local client device from accessing the internet through the local server.

A method of activating at least one processing entity from among a plurality of entities situated on the path of a data of a session between a terminal of a user and a server of a services provider. The terminal and the server are attached to a communications network. In the method, the terminal: sends to the server an identification message to receive identifiers of entities of the plurality, which are added to the message by the entities; receive from the server an acknowledgement message including the identifiers included in the identification message; select at least one identifier from among those received from the server; and send to the server a message relating to the activation of entities from among the plurality.

ACTIVATION OF DYNAMIC FILTER GENERATION FOR MESSAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS THROUGH GESTURE-BASED INPUT

Generation of filtering rules for incoming messages can be activated by a user through a gesture-based input. When the user activates filtering rule generation, the message management service can cause a user device to display a prompt requesting additional data to be used to generate the filtering rule. The gesture can be a swipe and hold gesture, where the swipe is associated with an action (archiving, deleting, deferring, or adding the message to a list), and the swipe and hold action can activate filtering rule generation associated with the action.

Distributed query execution and aggregation

Computer-implemented methods and systems are disclosed for receiving and indexing a plurality of files for later querying, for dynamically generating scripts to be executed during a query of a data store, and for horizontally distributing a query and aggregating results of the distributed query.

PROXY CONFIGURED TO DYNAMICALLY FAILOVER AUTHENTICATION TRAFFIC TO A BACKUP AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM

Techniques are described herein that are capable of dynamically failing over authentication traffic to a backup authentication system by a proxy system. An authentication request, which requests authentication of a principal, is received at the proxy system. The authentication request is directed to a primary authentication system. A determination is made, by the proxy system, that the primary authentication system is incapable of providing a valid response to the authentication request. The backup authentication system is caused, by the proxy system, to authenticate the principal using an authentication package received from the primary authentication system by dynamically routing the authentication request to the backup authentication system as a result of the primary authentication system being incapable of providing a valid response to the authentication request.

Data collecting system, data collecting apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium

A data collecting system includes a central server and at least one edge server capable of bi-directionally communicating with the central server. The edge server includes a collecting unit that collects data generated by a group of devices, and an output processing unit that encrypts the collected data and transmits the encrypted data to the central server. The encryption of the collected data is performed in accordance with an encryption policy that defines encryption schemes for different combinations of a device type and a data type.

Methods and apparatuses for enhancement to IP multimedia subsystem

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for enhancement to an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS). According to an embodiment, an application server (AS) of the IMS receives from a terminal device a first request for initiating a call service and an internet service which are to be integrated with each other. The AS of the IMS sends a second request for initiating the internet service to a gateway server that acts as a gateway to an internet AS capable of providing the internet service. In response to a reply from the gateway server, the AS of the IMS handles the first request based on the reply.
