COMMUNICATION CLIENT MANAGER
Techniques for designating non-native communication clients as the primary client for user equipment are discussed herein. A primary client can be the communication client designated to receive incoming communications for the user equipment. The user equipment may use the primary client to send, to a network device, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) instance to set primary client. The SIP instance may include a primary designator and a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) associated with the client. The network device may store the information for the user equipment including the UUID and capability set. A second user equipment may poll the network device for the communications capabilities of the first user equipment before establishing a connection.
Method for requesting transportation services
A method for safely and efficiently requesting transportation services through the use of mobile communications devices capable of geographic location is described. Individual and package transportation may be provided. New customers may be efficiently serviced, and the requester and transportation provider locations may be viewed in real time on the mobile devices.
INTERNET PROTOCOL MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM EMERGENCY CALLS FOR ROAMING USER EQUIPMENTS
A method of operating a user equipment (“UE”) to handle an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (“IMS”) emergency call can include sending a session initiation protocol (“SIP”) REGISTER request relating to an emergency registration to a proxy call session control function (“P-CSCF”) of an IMS network. The method can further include, responsive to sending the SIP REGISTER request, receiving a response from the P-CSCF. The method can further include, responsive to receiving the response, performing an action based on the response.
INTERNET PROTOCOL MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM EMERGENCY CALLS FOR ROAMING USER EQUIPMENTS
A method of operating a policy and charging rules function (“PCRF”) node to handle an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (“IMS”) emergency call can include receiving an identity request from a proxy call session control function (“P-CSCF”) of an IMS network. The identity request can include an internet protocol (“IP”) address for a user equipment (“UE”). The method can further include, responsive to receiving the identity request, determining one or more identifiers of the UE based on the IP address. The one or more identifiers are separate from the IP address. The method can further include, responsive to determining the one or more identifiers, transmitting an indication of the one or more identifiers of the UE to the P-CSCF.
MULTI-LINE MOBILE SERVICE WITH DYNAMIC MSISDN ASSOCIATION
A network device receives a location update message from a mobile network switch. The location update message indicates that a mobile device is registered with the mobile network switch. The location update message includes an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) associated with the mobile device. The network device determines, based at least on the IMSI, a plurality of MSISDNs associated with the mobile device, including a first MSISDN that is enabled for calling and a second MSISDN that is not enabled for calling. The network device transmits, in response to the location update message, subscriber data to a database associated with the mobile network switch, which associates the IMSI with the first MSISDN.
METHOD FOR UPDATING A DATABASE OF A VOICE OVER IP NETWORK
A method for updating a database of a Voice over IP network by a gateway of a local network allowing access to the VoIP network. The method includes: receiving a message to initiate a VoIP call on the VoIP network coming from a terminal connected to the local network; determining a hardware identifier of the terminal from an IP address on the local network contained in the message; if the identifier is paired in the database with a telephone identity, transferring the message to the VoIP network; otherwise: setting up a VoIP channel between the terminal and a voice server hosted by the access gateway; obtaining by the voice server, via this channel, an authentication code of a user of the terminal; if the code is associated with a telephone identity allocated by the VoIP network, updating the database by pairing the identifier of the terminal with this telephone identity.
Method and system for assigning number for routing call from electronic device
A computer-implemented method for routing a call from an electronic device to a first target organization. The method, executed by a server, comprises: receiving a request for a first digital content item; generating the first digital content item with an indication of a unique telephone number; and mapping the unique telephone number to the user and the first digital content item. After a predetermined activity time, the unique telephone number is disassociated from the first digital content item and placed into a quarantine pool. After a predetermined quarantine time, the unique number is removed from the quarantine pool and assigned to a second target organization selected by: determining a first business profile associated with the first target organization; determining a second business profile associated with the second target organization; and verifying that the first business profile and the second business profile are different.
MULTIPLE DEVICE ACCESS CONFIGURATION AND ALERTING
The present disclosure provides a communication system and method, among other things. As a non-limiting example, the method includes registering a first user device as a first Multi Device Access (MDA) device for a user, registering several other user devices as MDA devices for the user, marking the first user device with a first alerting priority, marking the other devices with a second alerting priority that is different from the first alerting priority, receiving an incoming call for the user, and causing the first user device to alert for the incoming call at a different time than the other user devices based on the first alerting priority being different from the second alerting priority.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM-NETWORK DUAL-ACTIVATION
A method comprising: detecting a delivery trigger indicative of delivery of a new User Equipment (UE) to a user, the new UE having a new subscriber identity module (SIM) card associated with a new phone number, the user having an existing UE with an existing SIM card associated with an existing phone number; and duplicating the existing phone number with the new phone number by instructing network devices to: block incoming telephony messages to the new phone number; spoof outgoing message from the new phone number to present as the existing phone number; duplicate incoming messages to the existing phone number; and deliver the duplicated incoming messages to the new phone number.
Method and apparatus for triggering devices and delivering small data
Method and apparatus are described for delivering triggers and small data. In an embodiment, a receiver may be configured to receive a trigger or small data packet, and a transmitter may be configured to transmit a subscriber information request to see whether a subscriber is present. The receiver may be further configured to receive an identity of a second node on a condition that the subscriber is present. The transmitter may be further configured to transmit the trigger or small data packet to the second node over an interface, the second node configured to create an Internet Protocol (IP) packet with an IP address containing the trigger or small data packet and deliver the IP packet to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) using the IP address and a default or dedicated bearer of the WTRU.
