MULTI-LINE MOBILE SERVICE WITH DYNAMIC MSISDN ASSOCIATION
20210227380 · 2021-07-22 · ·

A network device receives a location update message from a mobile network switch. The location update message indicates that a mobile device is registered with the mobile network switch. The location update message includes an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) associated with the mobile device. The network device determines, based at least on the IMSI, a plurality of MSISDNs associated with the mobile device, including a first MSISDN that is enabled for calling and a second MSISDN that is not enabled for calling. The network device transmits, in response to the location update message, subscriber data to a database associated with the mobile network switch, which associates the IMSI with the first MSISDN.

METHOD FOR SUPPORTING LAWFUL INTERCEPTION OF REMOTE PROSE UE IN NETWORK

The disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging, with an IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system, and a system therefor. The disclosure may be applied to intelligent services, such as smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail businesses, and security and safety related services, on the basis of 5G communications technologies and IoT-related technologies. A method for operating relay UE in a mobile communication system includes transmitting, to a network node connected to the relay UE, a remote UE report message including remote UE information about a remote UE accessing a network via the relay UE, wherein the remote UE information includes IP address information allocated to the remote UE; starting a timer upon transmitting the remote UE report message to the network node; receiving, from the network node, a response message in reply to the remote UE report message; and stopping the timer upon receipt of the response message from the network node. the IP address information includes an IP address and port information of the remote UE in case that IPv4 is used as an address type.

Identifier mapping in edge computing within radio networks

A technique, comprising: obtaining, via a gateway entity linking a radio access network to a core network associated with the radio access network, information about mapping at the core network of one or more temporary user identifiers to one or more permanent user identifiers.

Network registration method of internet of things device, and device therefor

Disclosed is an external electronic device for enabling an Internet of Things-supporting device to subscribe to a network. The external electronic device, according to the present disclosure, may provide, on a display thereof, an interface enabling the subscription of an Internet of Things device which does not comprise a separate display. In addition, the external electronic device, according to the present disclosure, may perform, via an external server, the subscription of the Internet of Things device to an Internet of Things service provider. In addition, various embodiments are possible as identified in the specification. In addition, various embodiments are possible as identified in the specification.

Targeted over-the-air updates

Techniques for configuring data in a subscriber identity module (SIM) of a user equipment (UE) via over-the-air (OTA) configuration messages are discussed herein. An OTA server may receive, from an operator associated with a telecommunication network, identifying information specifying a UE or a group of UEs in which to send the OTA configuration and may receive an indication of a type of configuration to be included in the OTA configuration. The OTA server may access an equipment identity register (EIR) to determine which UEs to receive the OTA configuration message based on the identifying information.

DATA TRANSFER USING A DUAL SIM PHONE
20210243589 · 2021-08-05 ·

A first subscriber identification module (SIM) of a dual SIM device is connected to a network. A small cell is informed that the dual SIM device is a dual SIM-type device and a first radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. A second radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. The small cell is configured to treat a second SIM as a control SIM and to treat the first SIM a data SIM. User data is transferred to the first radio frequency device, a control channel switch command is sent to the dual SIM device, and control information is transferred to the second radio frequency device.

eSIM-based card pool system and control method thereof

An eSIM-based card pool system is disclosed, the system comprising: a card pool unit comprising a plurality of eSIMs; an eSIM manager, comprising a database that stores corresponding relationships between a plurality of eSIM identifications and a plurality of eSIM addresses; and a connection manager, configured to request a first eSIM address from the eSIM manager based on a received download instruction, and write a specified eSIM profile into a first eSIM having the first eSIM address.

ACCESS RESTRICTION FOR A PRIVATE OR NEUTRAL-HOST NETWORK
20210297936 · 2021-09-23 · ·

During operation, a computer receives an attachment request from a radio node, where the attachment request is associated with an electronic device, and includes an identifier of the radio node, an identifier of the electronic device and an identifier of a service provider. Then, the computer determines a first entity identifier of an entity based at least in part on the identifier of the radio node and a second entity identifier of the entity based at least in part on the identifier of the electronic device. When the first entity identifier matches the second entity identifier, the computer performs authentication of the electronic device. Alternatively, if the entity identifiers are different, but the identifier of the service provider matches a stored identifier, the computer performs the authentication of the electronic device. Otherwise, the computer does not allow the electronic device to attach to a private or neutral-host network.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM-NETWORK DUAL-ACTIVATION
20210297847 · 2021-09-23 ·

A method comprising: detecting a delivery trigger indicative of delivery of a new User Equipment (UE) to a user, the new UE having a new subscriber identity module (SIM) card associated with a new phone number, the user having an existing UE with an existing SIM card associated with an existing phone number; and duplicating the existing phone number with the new phone number by instructing network devices to: block incoming telephony messages to the new phone number; spoof outgoing message from the new phone number to present as the existing phone number; duplicate incoming messages to the existing phone number; and deliver the duplicated incoming messages to the new phone number.

Method and apparatus for triggering devices and delivering small data

Method and apparatus are described for delivering triggers and small data. In an embodiment, a receiver may be configured to receive a trigger or small data packet, and a transmitter may be configured to transmit a subscriber information request to see whether a subscriber is present. The receiver may be further configured to receive an identity of a second node on a condition that the subscriber is present. The transmitter may be further configured to transmit the trigger or small data packet to the second node over an interface, the second node configured to create an Internet Protocol (IP) packet with an IP address containing the trigger or small data packet and deliver the IP packet to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) using the IP address and a default or dedicated bearer of the WTRU.
