SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING A LOCATION OF A VEHICLE WITHIN A GEOFENCE
The present invention is directed to methods and systems for determining a location of a vehicle within a geofence. The location of the vehicle is determined by a fencing agent on a vehicle. The geofence is defined by a plurality of geographic designators, with the plurality of geographic designators each being associated with an Internet Protocol (IP) address, preferably an IPv6 address.
I/O network module with unique network address
I/O network modules connect field devices to a process control network. Each I/O network module includes a set of electrical connectors for connecting a field device to the module and an I/O channel extending from the set of electrical connectors to a network port. The I/O channel includes a conversion circuit that converts between an I/O signal and network-compatible signals. Each I/O channel connected to the process control network through an I/O network module is associated with its own unique network address. This enables controllers and field devices on the process control network to communicate essentially directly with one another through the network.
COMMUNICATION RELATED TO CHANGE OF APPLICATION SERVER
One disclosure of the present specification provides a communication method related to a change of an application server performed by an SMF node. The method may comprise: a step for transmitting a notification message related to a change of a user plane path to an AF node; a step for receiving a response message from the AF node in response to the notification message; and a step for transmitting a message including information on an IP address of the changed application server to a terminal through an AMF node.
Method for setting up an uninterrupted communication connection and communication device
A method in which a monitoring unit allocated to a communication device checks, based on a name resolution protocol, whether a second communication network address allocated to the first communication device becomes valid in order to set up an uninterrupted communication connection to the communication device that is allocated to an industrial automation system, where in cases of an allocation of a new valid communication network address and an existing communication connection, the monitoring unit initiates a set-up of an additional communication connection using the new communication network address.
Geocoding with geofences
Systems and methods of registering geocodes with a geofence and delivering geocodes which define geofences to devices are described herein. Geocodes include strings of words, letters, numbers, and combinations thereof. Geocodes associated with the same or similar geofences are cohesive and provide for improved location information, with IP addresses being assigned to the geocodes.
Supporting dynamic host configuration protocol-based customer premises equipment in fifth generation wireline and wireless convergence
A device may receive, from a first network device, an authentication request that requests authentication of the device, and may provide, to the first network device, an authentication response that includes the authentication of the device. The device may provide, to the first network device and based on the authentication response, a PDU session establishment request that requests establishment of a PDU session for customer premises equipment, and may receive, from the first network device and based on the PDU session establishment request, a PDU session resource setup request that requests a resource to be established for the PDU session. The device may provide, to the first network device and based on the PDU session resource setup request, a PDU session resource setup response indicating that the resource is a GTP tunnel, and may establish the GTP tunnel with a second network device.
Systems and Methods for Managing Real Estate Titles and Permissions
Methods and systems for managing real estate titles and permissions include using a key to identify titles and/or permissions. The key is preferably operable to control operations of electronic devices within geographic boundaries, with the geographic boundaries preferably being defined by a geofence and/or IP-based addressing. In certain embodiments, a system is linked to real property records to assign the key to the owner of record. Like other property rights, this virtual right-to-control electronic devices while located in a certain space may be sold outright, leased, rented, partitioned or otherwise conveyed to others.
System and Method of Applying Policy Based, Targeted Prefix Advertisements via Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Stateless Address Auto-Configuration (SLAAC) Router Advertisement (RA) Poisoning
Systems and network devices configured to use Stateless Address Auto-Configuration (SLAAC) to provide different internet protocol (IP) address information to user equipment (UE) devices that are connected to the same local area network (LAN). A network device (e.g., default router, etc.) may determine whether a UE device is eligible to receive special treatment based on a link-layer address of the UE device. The network device send the UE device an unicast router advertisement that includes a special prefix in response to determining that the UE device is eligible to receive special treatment. The network device may send the UE device an unicast router advertisement that includes a base prefix for the LAN in response to determining that the UE device is not eligible to receive special treatment
Method and apparatuses for avoiding paging storm during ARP broadcast for ethernet type PDU
Methods and apparatuses for acquisition of an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP)/IPv6 neighbour cache at a user plane function (UPF) entity without performing deep packet inspection for every packet that traverses a network. The ARP broadcast/Internet Control Message Protocol version 6 (ICMPv6) neighbour solicitation multicast from any Ethernet client (a user equipment (UE) or clients behind the UE or clients in a data network (DN)) is responded to by the UPF entity itself, by looking up the ARP/IPv6 Neighbour cache built in the UPF entity, irrespective of whether the UPF entity acts as the core Ethernet switch or whether the core Ethernet switch is in the DN. The solution is simplified to always intercept ARP at the UPF entity and respond to it based on a local ARP/IPv6 Neighbour cache.
System and method for storage array enclosure discovery
A method, computer program product, and computing system for generating one or more unique network addresses for one or more storage array enclosures of a storage system. The one or more unique network addresses may be advertised to one or more storage processors of the storage system. The one or more storage processors may be configured to communicate with a plurality of storage devices of the one or more storage array enclosures based upon, at least in part, the one or more unique network addresses of the one or more storage array enclosures.
