SELF-ALIGNING MULTI-PART CAMERA SYSTEM
A multi-part electronic device has a mode with at least two overlapped device parts comprising a first camera part mounted on a first device part and a second camera part mounted on a second device part. At least one of the first and second camera parts is resiliently mounted such that contact between the first and second camera parts when the first device part and the second device part are overlapped with each other aligns the first camera part and the second camera part within a selected angular deviation between the camera parts' respective optical axes. A camera part having a body and a flexible mount and a method of reducing tilt error are also described.
Smartpad window management
A multi-display device is adapted to be dockable or otherwise associatable with an additional device. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment, the multi-display device is dockable with a smartpad. The exemplary smartpad can include a screen, a touch sensitive display, a configurable area, a gesture capture region(s) and a camera. The smartpad can also include a port adapted to receive the device. The exemplary smartpad is able to cooperate with the device such that information displayable on the device is also displayable on the smartpad. Furthermore, any one or more of the functions on the device are extendable to the smartpad, with the smartpad capable of acting as an input/output interface or extension of the smartpad. Therefore, for example, information from one or more of the displays on the multi-screen device is displayable on the smartpad.
MULTIPLE VIEWS OF A GEOGRAPHIC AREA ON A MOBILE DEVICE
A computer-implemented method is disclosed that includes receiving on a mobile device a search query associated with a geographic location, providing one or more search results in response to the search query, the search results each being associated with a geographic location, and presenting on a graphical display of the computing device icons corresponding to each search result and also corresponding to a key on the computing device.
Display suspension
An apparatus comprises a body portion having a first wall section providing a casing to surround electrical components and being configured to have a lower structural rigidity compared to a remainder of the body portion and a display assembly coupled to the body portion, the display assembly comprising at least one of a display and a display window. The first wall section comprises a first thinned portion coupled to the display assembly and configured to suspend the display assembly at a thicker portion of the first wall section and a second thinned portion at an outer edge of the body portion, the second thinned portion being configured to flex and allow movement of the display assembly. The first wall section is configured to bend or flex relative to the remainder of the body portion upon application of the force to the display assembly.
Mobile device off-screen gesture area
Methods and devices for receiving input and presenting a user interface with two screens and an off screen gesture area. The device may have an off screen gesture area that accepts user input outside the display area. The interface inputs received in the off screen gesture are may have special handling and cause different display changes. Further, the device, having two screens, may receive user interface inputs that cross the seam between the two displays. To provide a display that acts like a single display area, the device can predict motions may cross the seam and then interrelate separate inputs on separate screens. The interrelated inputs can cause display changes as if the inputs were received as a single user interaction.
Smartpad—desktop

BACK COVER UNIT APPLIED TO PORTABLE DEVICE AND HAVING HEAT CONDUCTION FUNCTION
A back cover unit applied to portable device and having heat conduction function includes a ceramic back cover having an outer surface and an inner surface. The outer surface faces an external environment, while the inner surface faces a receiving space of a portable electronic device. A heat contact section is disposed on the inner surface in a position corresponding to at least one heat source disposed in the receiving space. The heat contact section has a contact face in contact with the heat source, whereby the heat generated by the heat source can be transferred through the heat contact section to the ceramic back cover to dissipate the heat.
MAGNET ASSEMBLIES FOR OPENING DEVICE
An apparatus allows a device to open from a closed configuration. The device comprises a first frame comprising a first magnet assembly, and a second frame rotatably coupled to the first frame. The apparatus comprises a second magnet assembly rotatably coupled to the second frame and configured to attract the first magnet assembly when the two frames and are in the closed configuration. A biasing member biases the second magnet assembly for rotation in an open direction. An actuator comprises first and second arms extending from an elongated base toward first and second cams that are coupled to the second magnet assembly. Translation of the elongated base toward the second magnet assembly causes the arms to rotate the cams, thereby causing rotation of the second magnet assembly in the open direction to reduce a magnetic force between the first magnet assembly and the second magnet assembly.
Flexible spatial audio capture apparatus
An apparatus comprising: at least one determiner configured to determine at least one characteristic associated with a flexible part of a further apparatus; a signal processor configured to process at least one signal dependent on the at least one characteristic associated with the flexible part of the further apparatus, wherein the signal is at least one of an audio and a video signal; and an user interface generator configured to generate at least one user interface indication dependent on the characteristic associated with a flexible part of the further apparatus.
