CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DEVICES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to consumer electronics devices and use of additive manufacturing. In one embodiment, a consumer electronics case has a body, at least one sidewall extending perimetrically around the body to define an inner case wall and an outer case wall, and at least one additively manufactured component or feature on the body.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEVICE CASE MAGNETS
A protective case for an electronic reading device includes a back cover, wherein the back cover is configured to secure the electronic reading device. The back cover includes a plurality of metal plates, each of the plurality of metal plates disposed in a predetermined location. The protective case also includes a front cover, wherein the front cover includes a plurality of magnets, each of the plurality of magnets being disposed in a predetermined location and one or more of the plurality of magnets being positioned based on the location of one or more corresponding metal plates. The front cover also includes a Hall sensor magnet positioned on top of a magnet shielding, wherein the Hall sensor magnet is positioned between the magnet shielding and the back cover of the protective case when the protective case is in a closed position.
Mobile phone holder with wirelessly activated robotic arms and charger
A mobile phone holder for automatically holding or releasing a mobile phone by a pair of grasping arms to allow a user to attach or detach a mobile phone to the mobile phone holder by one-handed operation. The mobile phone holder includes a housing, a holder base, a left robotic arm stretching and extending from the left side of the housing, a right robotic arm stretching and extending from the right side of the housing, and a gear rack and pinion mechanism in the housing for driving the left and right grip arms to move in opposite directions or to synchronize in backward movement. The mobile phone holder further includes a main control circuit board on the main body, a main controller disposed on the main control circuit board, and an a pushbutton automatic reset travel switch assembly protruding from the front of the housing for detecting the phone.
Integrated telecommunications handset
A rugged, ergonomic integrated telecommunications handset includes an electronic controller that interoperates and controls the universal remote control (URC), which connects to multiple radios simultaneously. The controller downloads options which are implemented by the controller. The handset has an ability to vibrate in a silent mode, and has a memory capacity, as well as GPS capacity. Ergonomically, the handset has a pair of side arrays of protruding ribs, which enhance gripping, preventing the handset from falling out of the user's hands, even if the user has gloves on in inclement weather conditions in the field. While compatible with the latest radio system software defined dual net and dual channel radio equipment, the handset is also backward compatible with single radios or with two or more separate radios, and may communicate using Bluetooth.
Detachable intelligent back cover
A detachable intelligent back cover is disclosed and comprises a cover body detachably connected to a middle frame of a casing of an intelligent terminal, a circuit board fixed to an inner surface of the cover body, and a spring probe assembly electrically mounted on a corresponding circuit board and protruding backwardly from the cover body; wherein lighting elements or spare batteries, or speakers are provided on a face of the circuit board toward the cover body. Such that back cover is not only used to protect the batteries, but also to be light sources, signaling lights, spare batteries, speakers, and the like. To use, it is only necessary to install the back cover on the intelligent terminal, in order to be automatically energized via the spring probe assembly. The back covers are selectively changed based on the requirements of users, to improve intelligence of the back cover.
TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY WITH STABILIZING FEATURE
A touch screen display assembly can include a touch sensitive screen having a planar surface, and at least one slot located adjacent the planar surface and wherein the at least one slot includes a channel and is configured to form a stabilizing grasping feature when a user interacts with the touch sensitive screen.
STANDOFF ASSISTANT SYSTEMS FOR PORTABLE COMMUNICATION DEVICES
A standoff device for assisting in maintaining a handheld portable communications device a predetermined distance away from a user's head. Some embodiments use an electronic or sonic range finder on the communications device to alarm when the device is held too close to the head. Sonic range-finder emissions are preferably at a frequency outside the range of human hearing. The electronic range finder may operate on any safe low power frequency, such as, for non-limiting example, visible light, infrared light, or radio frequency electromagnetic radiation. The standoff device may be attached to or built into the housing of the communications device or may be attached to or built into a case or cover for the communications device.
Ergonomic accessory for smartphones and other hand-held portable electronic devices
Injury to the digits, hand and wrist are associated with the frequent usage of portable hand-held electronic devices (PEDs), including but not limited to smartphones. This is true as well for injury to the neck and shoulder areas. The potential for injury to the digits, hand and wrist in particular is anticipated to be exacerbated by the larger smartphones, and especially the tablet-like smartphones. The ergonomic accessory of the invention has several embodiments whose design is intended to ameliorate if not prevent such injuries. Certain embodiments are partially or fully case-like in form so that they envelope to a greater or lesser degree, such hand-held electronic devices. Another embodiment attaches to a PED through an element of the PED such as the charging socket. The accessory also removably attaches the hand of the user or provides a secure holding surface for the user.
MOBILE PHONE
A mobile phone includes a phone body including spaced lateral perimeter walls. At least one indentation is provided in each of the said spaced lateral walls, the indentations forming a detent or cavity to provide an overhang portion suitable for being selectively gripped or released by correspondingly mating jaws or hooks on an accessory attachable to the mobile phone.
Device with a plurality of micro laser through holes
An electronic reading device includes a display integrated into a front of the electronic reading device, the display being outlined by a non-touch sensitive portion of the front of the electronic reading device; wherein a predetermined section of the non-touch sensitive portion of the front of the electronic reading device includes a plurality of micro laser through holes, the plurality of micro laser through holes configured to integrate with the non-touch sensitive portion of the front of the electronic reading device by maintaining a predetermined level of visual consistency of the non-touch sensitive portion, and provide an area through which light is visible in response to one or more interactions with the electronic reading device.
