Docking station for portable electronic device
A docking station support system for a portable electronic device is disclosed. The docking station includes a housing with apertures to receive a portable electronic device and provide access to the touch sensitive display of such device. In certain embodiments, the docking station is invertible, and is supported by a leg or clips on top of, or at the edge of a surface, such as a table. The docking station can also be connected to a surface with hook and loop fasteners. The invention includes a gutter and spout system for catching food, beverages and other substances, and directing them away from the portable electronic device.
Functional flip cover protective case with physical keypad for smart phone devices
A functional flip cover protective case having a physical keypad and a transparent viewing window for touch-based smart phone device is being disclosed. The functional flip cover protective case comprising an integral flip cover attached a protective case; the flip cover includes a built in physical keypad device and a transparent viewing window on the front side of the flip cover when the flip cover is in closed position; wherein the flip cover further comprising a sensor to detect opening and closing actions; wherein the protective case may comprising a data/power connector, and/or a Bluetooth device, and/or a NFC (Near Field Communication) device for corresponding between the physical keypad and the smart phone device; wherein upon closing the flip cover, the physical keypad will be activated to take over the input controls of the smart phone device. In addition, the display output on touch screen of the smart phone device will be limited within the boundary of the transparent viewing window; wherein upon the opening the flip cover, the physical keypad will be deactivated and return the input controls to the smart phone device; wherein further comprising a software module to be installed in the smart phone device to correspondence with the censor and physical keypad of the flip cover.
RING ATTACHMENT FOR MOBILE DEVICE
A ring attachment for a mobile device assembly wherein the mobile device assembly further includes a mobile device and a mobile device case. The mobile device case has sidewalls defining an inner cavity sized to receive the mobile device therein. The ring attachment includes an anchor having a height, width and thickness. The height and the width are sized to fit within the inner cavity. The thickness is sized to fit between the inner cavity of the mobile device case and a back surface of the mobile device when the mobile device is secured within the inner cavity. A ring is secured to the anchor. The ring is sized to receive a finger of a user. The ring is comprised of a resilient material such that inner surfaces of the ring may be compressed together when squeezed and the ring may return to an original shape when released.
Hands free telephone assembly
A hands free telephone assembly for hands free use of a personal electronic device includes a collar is curved into an open loop for wearing around a neck of a user. A communication unit is integrated into the collar and the communication unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device to facilitate voice control of the personal electronic device. A video projector is integrated into the collar to project digital images received from the personal electronic device. The video projector has motion sensing capabilities thereby facilitating the personal electronic device to be controlled with hand motions. A projection screen is held by the user thereby facilitating the projection screen to display the digital images received from the personal electronic device.
Antireflective treatment for textured enclosure components
A textured enclosure component including two different types of surface features is disclosed. The two different types of surface features are differently sized. The combination of differently sized surface features provides both anti-glare and anti-reflective properties to the enclosure component.
Wireless communication terminal
A wireless communication terminal includes: a body; a camera on a back surface; a code reader attachable to the back surface; a display on a front surface with top and bottom edges longer than left and right edges; and first and second buttons on the front surface. Upper, lower, left, right areas are between respective edges of the front surface and those of the display. The camera is in an area opposite the upper area. A width of the lower area is wider than each of widths of the left and right areas. The first button is in the lower area. The second button is between a center line of the body passing through a center point of the front surface and in parallel with the top or bottom edge of the front surface and a line extending from the top edge of the display.

A personal hand-held electronic device having a case and an elongated handle. The case has a front surface, and rear surface, and a side wall, and disposed within the case is a micro-computer. The front surface has an outer perimeter wall and a display. A method comprises receiving moisture sensor data from at least one moisture sensor located in a device. The at least one moisture sensor is configured to detect moisture on a surface of the device. The method also comprises determining a likelihood of the device slipping from a grip of a user based on the received moisture sensor data; and altering a surface profile of a surface panel of the device based on the determined likelihood of the device slipping from the grip of the user.
Mobile device and accessory case with display locking feature
Systems and methods for use with a mobile electronic device comprising a sensor operatively associated with the mobile electronic device for detecting contact with the display and a feature that helps prevent unauthorized access to the mobile electronic device responsive to the determination that the detected contact is accidental, and in some embodiments, the systems and methods of the invention include a case for mating with the body, a sensor mounted to the case, and a software application stored in the memory of the mobile electronic device, the application being in communication with the sensor for detecting contact with the cover to receive data relating to the contact and determine whether the contact is accidental contact, wherein the mobile electronic device is made inaccessible responsive to the determination that the detected contact is accidental.
