Radio control for a portable communication device
A control switch (110) is provided to facilitate a primary user interface for a control top surface (106) of a non-orthogonal control top (102) of a portable communication device (100). The control switch (110) comprises a thumb button actuator (112), a rotary lever (220) having a lever arm (222) extending therefrom, a transfer arm (202) coupled between the thumb button actuator and the lever arm of the rotary lever, and an electrical rotary switch (204) with a switch shaft (224) providing a primary axis of orthogonal rotation. Actuation of the thumb button actuator (112) results in linear, non-orthogonal motion of the transfer arm (202) being translated into rotary motion of the switch shaft (224) about the primary axis of orthogonal rotation (205).
Smartphone safety device
A device comprising a means to re-direct the line of sight of a camera function of a smartphone.
System and method for controlling notifications in an electronic device according to user status
Controlling notification output from an electronic device includes detecting that a stress level of a user of the electronic device is above a predetermined threshold; and in response to the detection that the stress level of the user is above the predetermined threshold, applying a notification rule to control notification output, the application of the notification rule changing how or when a notification for the call or message is output by the electronic device relative to how or when the notification would be output had the user stress level been below the predetermined threshold.
GRIP AND STAND ACCESSORY FOR MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An expandable accessory for attachment to a mobile electronic device. The expandable accessory includes a base, a membrane, and a button coupled to the membrane opposite the base. The membrane includes a plurality of linear wall segments. The membrane is movable between a collapsed position and an expanded position, and when the membrane is in the expanded position, the plurality of linear wall segments are arranged in a common conical plane.
Mobile device grip
A mobile device has at least one grip handle disposed on the back surface of the mobile device. The grip handle comprises at least one grip surface that enables a user to grasp the mobile device and use it with one hand of the user. Various embodiments of the invention are disclosed.
Mobile phone body with lateral indents for attachable accessory
A mobile phone includes a phone body including spaced lateral perimeter walls. At least one indentation is provided in each of the said spaced lateral walls, the indentations forming a detent or cavity to provide an overhang portion suitable for being selectively gripped or released by correspondingly mating jaws or hooks on an accessory attachable to the mobile phone.
Mobile terminal
A mobile terminal includes a first body and a second body. The first body includes a main body portion, a first extension and a second extension connected to opposite sides of the main body portion. The first extension is provided with a first functional component and the second extension is provided with a second functional component. The second body is slidably stacked on the first body and selectively slide to a first position, a second position or a third position. The second body covers the main body portion, the first functional component and the second functional component at the first position, the second body exposes the first functional component at the second position, and the second body exposes the second functional component at the third position.
System and methods for device case magnets
A protective case for an electronic reading device includes a back cover, wherein the back cover is configured to secure the electronic reading device. The back cover includes a plurality of metal plates, each of the plurality of metal plates disposed in a predetermined location. The protective case also includes a front cover, wherein the front cover includes a plurality of magnets, each of the plurality of magnets being disposed in a predetermined location and one or more of the plurality of magnets being positioned based on the location of one or more corresponding metal plates. The front cover also includes a Hall sensor magnet positioned on top of a magnet shielding, wherein the Hall sensor magnet is positioned between the magnet shielding and the back cover of the protective case when the protective case is in a closed position.
DEVICE WITH A MID-FRAME STRUCTURE AND REVERSE DRAFT
An electronic reading device includes a mid-frame structure such that the mid-frame structure can include a reverse draft. A reverse draft corresponds to a back of the electronic reading device being a predetermined amount wider than a front of the electronic reading device. Additionally, a co-molded mid-frame stiffener provides a predetermined rigidity of the electronic reading device. The electronic reading device also includes a display integrated with the front of the mid-frame structure, wherein a space between the display and the mid-frame structure includes one or more electronic reading device components. Similarly, a back cover is integrated with the back of the mid-frame structure, wherein a space between the back cover and the mid-frame structure includes additional electronic reading device components.
