KIOSK FOR EVALUATING AND PURCHASING USED ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Various embodiments of kiosks for purchasing mobile phones and other mobile electronic devices from users are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the kiosks include an apparatus to turn a mobile phone over on an inspection surface. This apparatus can enable the kiosk to visually inspect both the front and back sides of the mobile device on the inspection surface with an inspection system (e.g., imaging devices, lighting devices, etc.) positioned above the inspection surface, and can eliminate the need to position a second inspection system below a transparent inspection surface to visually inspect, e.g., the back side of the mobile device through the transparent inspection surface. In some embodiments, the kiosk also includes a wireless mobile phone charging device that can be used for, e.g., phone charging and identification.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING FUNCTIONALITY OF MOBILE PHONES
A system for evaluating all functions of a mobile phone to benefit recycling purposes includes a robotic arm assembly, a camera test device, a touch test device, and a 3D Touch test device. The camera test device has a backlight screen and a target picture. The touch test device has at least one first stylus for applying input to a touch screen of a mobile phone. The 3D Touch test device has at least one second stylus for applying strong presses to the touch screen of the mobile phone. The robotic arm assembly can also move the mobile phone to enable image-capturing. A method for functionality-testing is also provided.
SECONDARY MARKET AND VENDING SYSTEM FOR DEVICES
A recycling kiosk for recycling and financial remuneration for submission of a mobile telephone is disclosed herein. The recycling kiosk includes an inspection area with at least one camera and a plurality of electrical connectors in order to perform a visual analysis and an electrical analysis of the mobile telephone for determination of a value of the mobile telephone. The recycling kiosk also includes a processor, a display and a user interface.
Kiosk for recycling electronic devices
A recycling kiosk for recycling and financial remuneration for submission of an electronic device such as a mobile phone is disclosed herein. The recycling kiosk includes electrical connectors and an inspection area with an upper chamber, a lower chamber, a transparent plate and at least one camera in order to perform a visual analysis and an electrical analysis of the electronic device for determination of a value of the electronic device. The recycling kiosk also includes a processor and a display for user interaction.
Mobile device top up apparatus
A computer-implemented method for topping up a mobile device account associated with a mobile device includes causing a wireless communication link to be established with the mobile device, receiving, via the wireless communication link, information indicative of identification of the mobile device, receiving information indicative of a desired payment associated with the mobile device account, and causing the desired payment to be applied to the mobile device account, at least in part by sending the information indicative of identification of the mobile device and the information indicative of the desired payment to one or more remote servers.
SYSTEM FOR ELECTRICALLY TESTING MOBILE DEVICES AT A CONSUMER-OPERATED KIOSK, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
A system for recycling a mobile device. A system configured in accordance with one embodiment of the present technology includes an electrical connector and testing electronics. The electrical connector is configured to be electrically connected to a mobile device, and the testing electronics are configured to produce an electrical measurement by measuring an electrical attribute associated with a hardware component of the mobile device over the electrical connector. The system is further configured to valuate, identify, and/or authenticate the mobile device based at least in part on the electrical measurement.
