Mobile terminal
The present invention provides a mobile terminal comprising: a terminal body having a display part on the front side thereof; and a back input part exposed to the back side of the body and having a first button part for receiving a push input of a first function, wherein the first button part comprises: an exposed part having a colored layer and exposed to the outside; a knob part formed on the back side thereof so as to fix the exposed part; and a body part covering the knob part and formed to be integrated with the exposed part.
User interface for a touchscreen of a portable communication device
A user interface (102) for a touchscreen (106) is provided. The user interface (102) comprises a physical overlay (108) having a rotatable guide wheel (110) with access through-holes (112, 114) formed therein. The touchscreen (106) of a portable communication device (104) can be accessed though the access through-holes (112, 114) and controlled via the rotatable guide wheel (110) without having to view the screen. Fingertip insertion into the access through-holes (112, 114) activates and selects different predetermined functions, while rotation of the rotatable guide wheel (110) controls variation for each predetermined function. The user interface may (102) be incorporated as part of a carry case, holster (130), harness or formed as an attachable and removable overlay plate (308) to correspond with the touchscreen (106).
Mobile terminal
A mobile terminal having an input device that performs inputting in a tactile manner is disclosed. A touch screen of a first region and touch buttons of a second region are implemented by a single touch sheet without having touch sensing units. Thus, manufacturing, assembling and handling can be facilitated.
Electronic devices
A mobile communications device includes an antenna, a navigation pad and a signal processor. The antenna, navigation pad, and signal processor cooperate to encode and transmit motion signals from the navigation pad to a computer so that the mobile communications device functions as a pointing device for the computer.
INPUT ELEMENT WITH INTEGRATED FUNCTIONALITY
An electronic device is disclosed. In some examples, the electronic device includes an input element configured to move in a first direction in response to an input at the input element. The input element can include circuitry configured to perform a first functionality, and process data resulting from the performance of the first functionality and output the processed data from the input element. In some examples, the electronic device includes a processor electrically coupled to the circuitry and configured to process the movement of the input element as an input to the electronic device, and receive the processed data and perform an action based on the processed data.
Universal keyboard
The present invention provides a multifunctional input device. The input device includes a functional mode which defines the mode of operation of the input device. Each functional mode includes one or more domain levels with each domain level containing one or more domain-level values. Each domain level-value within each functional mode is assigned to one of a plurality of programmable input keys. The domain-level value assigned to each programmable input key controls the function of that programmable input key within a given functionality and domain level. The present invention also includes a display to indicate the domain-level value associated with each of the programmable input keys within a given functionality.
Electronic device
An electronic device includes a rear cover and a camera decoration component. The camera decoration component includes a decoration member, a dial plate, a plurality of positioning members, and a plurality of induction members. The dial plate is annular, and is sleeved on an outer peripheral side of the decoration member. The decoration member includes a virtual rotation axis, and the dial plate is rotatably connected to the decoration member. The decoration member is configured to rotate around the virtual rotation axis of the decoration member. The positioning members and the induction members are configured to control the dial plate to be in a hovering state.
Method for performing function in call mode and portable electronic device for implementing the method
A method and electronic device are disclosed for performing a particular function in a call mode in response to inputs received from a rotating part of a camera. The electronic device includes a wireless communication unit for a call, and a camera having a rotating part. A rotation of the rotating part is recognized while the electronic device operates in a call mode, and, in response to the rotation, a predefined particular function is executed.
Push-to-talk functions associated with a rotary knob
An embodiment method includes determining, by a server, a current position of a rotary knob equipped on a client device connected to the server. The method also includes determining, by the server, a push-to-talk (PTT) over cellular (PoC) configuration assigned to the current position of the rotary knob and performing, by the server, PoC operations for the client device in accordance with the PoC configuration assigned to the current position of the rotary knob.
Mobile communication terminals, their directional input units, and methods thereof
This disclosure generally relates to various directional input units of a mobile communication terminal, where such directional input units receive a single user input or multiple concurrent user inputs and then acquires at least one selecting (user) sub-input therefrom while a terminal is in its powered-off state or its off-state. After acquiring the selecting user sub-input, a terminal runs at least one pre-selected operation which is selected from a set of multiple pre-selected operations and which matches the selecting user sub-input when a terminal powers on from its powered-off state or wakes up from its off-state. A directional input unit may acquire the selecting user sub-input from a movement of at least a portion thereof, a contact between at least a portion thereof and a user body part, or the like. As a result, a terminal can provide a user with more seamless operations.
