The disclosed are a mobile terminal, a housing therefor, and a method for manufacturing the housing. The housing includes a transparent main body formed integrally. The transparent main body has an outer surface and an inner surface opposite to each other and includes a flat plate portion and a side portion connected with each other, the side portion is disposed at a periphery of the flat plate portion, and a through hole is provided in the side portion. The outer surface of the transparent main body is provided with a light-shielding layer jointed with a side wall of the through hole. An orthographic projection area of the side wall of the through hole on a reference plane is located within an orthographic projection area of the light-shielding layer on the reference plane, and the reference plane is a geometric plane in parallel with the flat plate portion.

In electronic devices according to various embodiments, after a partition in which one or more applications are installed is reset by a factory data reset function, the one or more applications installed in the partition can be installed on the basis of a backup file. When the factory data reset function is not requested by a user who has purchased an electronic device, for example, when an inspector of the electronic device requests the factory data reset function or the factory data reset function is requested on the basis of the SIM card that was first inserted into the electronic device, the restoration of the one or more applications using the backup file can be performed by the electronic device.

Disclosed are devices, systems, methods, and media for efficient emergency calling using digital devices. In some embodiments, a user is able to make an emergency call by a one-touch or dual-touch process. An authentication process may reduce inadvertent and unauthorized emergency calling. Persistent emergency buttons are also disclosed that may be used for calling emergency in different states of the device.

A switch assembly for engaging a switch of an electronic device includes a rotatable knob having an axis of rotation, a pin mechanism engaged with the rotatable knob, and a slider body. The pin mechanism includes a pin, the pin being offset from the axis of rotation of the rotatable knob. The slider body is shaped to include a slot in which the pin of the pin mechanism is positioned and a switch recess shaped to receive and selectively contact the switch of the electronic device. Rotation of the rotatable knob in a first direction causes the slider body toward contact with a first portion of the switch to urge the switch into a first position, and rotation of the rotatable knob in a second direction causes the slider body toward contact with a second portion of the switch to urge the switch into a second position.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including an outer surface configured to at least partially form an external appearance of the electronic device, a button accommodation recess having a predetermined depth from the outer surface in a first direction oriented to the inner space of the electronic device, and at least one through-hole connected to the inner surface of the housing in the button accommodation recess, a key button disposed through the button accommodation recess, and including a key top inserted into the button accommodation recess and at least partially exposed to the outside, and a key base coupled to the key top, and including a protrusion facing a key flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) disposed in the inner space through the at least one through-hole. The protrusion may include an engagement portion formed at an end thereof to be larger than the protrusion.

Provided is an electronic apparatus including a display configured to output an image through a front surface of the electronic apparatus, an input part arranged to face a side surface of the electronic apparatus and comprising a first region and a second region, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine either the first region or the second region as an activation region based on a posture of the electronic apparatus, and receive a user input through the activation region. Provided are an electronic device, including a side frame, a signal triggering element fixedly disposed inside the side frame, and a button configured to extend through the side frame. The side frame defines a button hole directly facing the signal triggering element, and a limiting protrusion is arranged on an inner wall of the button hole. The button includes: a button post, extending through the side frame and disposed adjacent to the signal triggering element; a button cap, connected to the button post and engaged with the button hole; and a snap board, fastened to a side of the button cap facing the signal triggering element, wherein the snap board is configured with a hook engaged with the limiting protrusion for limiting.

The disclosed technology relates to a protection device for a piece of electronic equipment comprising a housing having a female port. In one aspect, the device comprises a shell suitable for receiving the housing of the equipment, having a male port matching the female port, such that when the shell receives the housing, the male port is engaged in the female port of the equipment. At least one slider that can be moved along an axis by a user to a setpoint position. A position sensor sensing the position of the cursor is configured to transmit a signal representative of the setpoint position to the male port.

Systems and methods for controlling access to a mobile device. A method for unlocking a mobile device includes detecting a user input comprising two or more user actions performed at one or more physical input buttons of the mobile device when the mobile device is in a lock state. The lock state prevents use of at least one functionality of the mobile device. Each user action corresponds to a code. The method also includes determining whether the detected user input is valid, and changing a state of the mobile device from the lock state to an unlock state to enable the use of the at least one functionality of the mobile device if the detected user input is valid.

A mobile terminal includes a body, and a flexible display screen disposed at the body. The flexible display screen is switchable between an expanded configuration and a retracted configuration. In the expanded configuration, the flexible display screen is expanded to a first area, and in the retracted configuration, the flexible display screen is retracted to a second area. The first area is larger than the second area. A millimeter-wave antenna module is disposed at an edge of the flexible display screen. The method includes: controlling the millimeter-wave antenna module to be in a non-working state when the flexible display screen is in the retracted configuration; and controlling the millimeter-wave antenna module to be in a working state when the flexible display screen is in the expanded configuration.
