System and method for performing certain actions based upon a dialed telephone number
Systems and methods of placing a telephone call for a user include monitoring the telephone number that the user has requested to reach. Depending upon the telephone number requested by the user, the system might take an alternate action, rather than simply placing a call to the requested telephone number. In some instances, the system might take an action in addition to placing a call to the requested telephone number.
Mobile terminal and method for detecting a gesture to control functions
The present disclosure relates to a portable terminal, and more particularly, to a portable terminal and a method of detecting a gesture and controlling a function. A method of controlling a function of a portable terminal includes: detecting a gesture; activating a voice recognition module in response to the detected gesture; and analyzing a voice input into the activated voice recognition module, and executing a function corresponding to the input voice.
Communication between users of a telephone system
Each user of a telecommunications system may speak and record their own name, in their own voice, and a recording of their spoken name may subsequently be accessed by or delivered to other users of the system, thereby facilitating communication between users by enabling users to better know how to pronounce the names of other users. A user may listen to the recorded spoken name of another user before placing a call to another user. When a user joins a conference call, their spoken name may be announced to other users (attendees) already in the call. A user joining a conference call may listen to the recorded spoken names of attendees in the call. A button on users' phones may invoke these features.
VOICE USER INTERFACE FOR DEVICE AND COMPONENT CONTROL
A voice user interface (VUI) may be deployed for controlling network components and devices of a telecommunications network. A voice command received at a voice interface device connected to a telecommunications network may be converted into a persistent data representation via a speech interpretation engine. The persistent data representation is sent to an intent mapping service that maps persistent data representations to intermediate command representations. In turn, a command interpreter of the telecommunications network may receive the intermediate command representation from the intent mapping service. The command interpreter may translate the intermediate command representation into an action command for performing a task with respect to network components or devices of the telecommunications network. The action command may be executed via a controller interface of the telecommunications network with respect to the network components or the devices of the telecommunication network.
DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING ABILITY OF VOICE CONTROL AND METHOD OF INSTRUCTING VOICE CONTROL TIMING
A display apparatus having ability of voice control and method of instructing voice control timing, the method includes following steps of: displaying a view of voice control instruction message; receiving a voice and generating initial voice data; receiving another voice and generating control voice data when determining that the initial voice data is matched with trigger voice data; executing a corresponded control command when the generated control voice data is matched with default voice data; and, stopping displaying the view of voice control instruction message. The user experience can thus be enhanced via instructing the user the timing of inputting voice control.
Vehicle and communication control method for determining communication data connection for the vehicle
A vehicle connected to a terminal of a user to perform dialing includes a speech input unit that receives a speech of the user, a speech recognition unit that recognizes a command included in the received speech, a control unit that determines a preparation state for performing the dialing, and a display unit that displays information about the preparation state when preparation for performing the dialing is not completed.
INTEGRATED SPEECH RECOGNITION TEXT INPUT WITH MANUAL PUNCTUATION
An integrated system and method for text-input, combining and syncing speech input together with manual input, to improve speech-recognition-based text input both in speed and accuracy, when punctuation and other symbols are needed and when speech-recognition results are to be combined with previously-existing text. Facilitates the strong points of speech-recognition technology, which are speed and comfort when inputting common words, while at the same time facilitates the strong points of manual key-typing, which are speed, comfort and accuracy when inputting punctuation marks, symbols, or pre-defined text with a single click. Increases speed, accuracy and comfort of speech-recognition text input by solving the problems of current voice-typing methods, and by further using the data from the manual input for improving speech recognition results.
Multi-party conversation analyzer and logger
In one aspect, the present invention facilitates the investigation of networks of criminals, by gathering associations between phone numbers, the names of persons reached at those phone numbers, and voice print data. In another aspect the invention automatically detects phone calls from a prison where the voiceprint of the person called matches the voiceprint of a past inmate. In another aspect the invention detects identity scams in prisons, by monitoring for known voice characteristics of likely imposters on phone calls made by prisoners. In another aspect, the invention automatically does speech-to-text conversion of phone numbers spoken within a predetermined time of detecting data indicative of a three-way call event while monitoring a phone call from a prison inmate. In another aspect, the invention automatically thwarts attempts of prison inmates to use re-dialing services. In another aspect, the invention automatically tags audio data retrieved from a database, by steganographically encoding into the audio data the identity of the official retrieving the audio data.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND METHOD
According to one embodiment, system includes a receiver and electronic circuitry. The electronic circuitry configured to determine whether the first user is present near a first apparatus of apparatuses, determine whether the first user is present near a second apparatus of the apparatuses, establish a first communication route with the first apparatus for the communication with the first user in response to the request, if it is determined that the first user is present near the first apparatus, and establish a second communication route with the second apparatus for the communication with the first user in response to the request, if it is determined that the first user is present near the second apparatus.
Devices and methods for efficient emergency calling
Disclosed are devices, systems, methods, and media for efficient emergency calling using digital devices. In some embodiments, a user is able to make an emergency call by a one-touch or dual-touch process. An authentication process may reduce inadvertent and unauthorized emergency calling. Persistent emergency buttons are also disclosed that may be used for calling emergency in different states of the device.
