A displaying method and apparatus in a mobile terminal are provided. The displaying method in a mobile terminal includes displaying a message for a missed call for a first number on an idle screen or a call list screen when the missed call is generated from the first number, displaying a call history for the first number on an incoming call screen or an outgoing call screen when a call is received from the first number or the call is transmitted to the first number, and changing the message for the missed call for the first number when a call is connected to the first number and displaying the changed message.

Methods and systems of providing caller information are provided. Exemplary systems and methods provide location information for audio files including the caller information. The location information can be used to retrieve the audio information, which can be played on a call recipient's device, and/or a translation of the audio information, which can be displayed on the call recipient's device.

The present disclosure generally relates to managing phone calls. In some embodiments, an electronic device with a touch screen displays a phone call user interface which includes informational items associated with phone calls, such as an add call affordance. In some embodiments, when the electronic device receives a request to initiate another phone and displays an additional user interface that includes a merge call affordance that replaces display of the add call affordance.

Technologies for displaying supplemental interface tiles on a user interface of a computing device include determining supplemental information and/or available user interactions associated with a user interface tile displayed on the user interface. A supplemental interface tile is displayed in association with the user interface tile in response to a user selecting the user interface tile. The supplemental information and/or an interaction widget corresponding to the available user interactions may be displayed on the supplemental interface tile based on the selection gesture used by the user to select the user interface tile.

A touch screen controller configured to receive user-entered screen interface data from the screen and to generate coordinate data from the user-entered screen interface data. The user-controlled overlay includes a fly-out window associated with one or more of the icons, wherein the content of the fly-out window is generated from an alert received at a wireless interface of the device.
