RTT CALL CONTEXT REQUEST PRIOR TO ANSWER
Solutions are disclosed that request call context from the caller prior to answer by the called user equipment (UE). When the called UE receives an incoming call from a second (calling) UE, without accepting the incoming call, the called UE sends a real time text (RTT), to the calling UE, requesting context for the call. When the calling UE responds, the user of the called UE may make an informed decision of whether to accept the incoming call. In some examples, the RTT request for call context and the RTT response are carried over default bearers for the calling and called UEs, prior to call acceptance, at which point dedicated bearers are set up for both UEs.
CALL CONTEXT REQUEST PRIOR TO ANSWER
Solutions are disclosed that request call context from the caller prior to answer by the called user equipment (UE). When the called UE receives an incoming call from a remote telephone, without accepting the incoming call, the called UE requests that the wireless network anchor the incoming call. The anchor point is a media resource function (MRF), in some examples. A request for call context is transmitted to the remote telephone (an audio request, in some examples). The MRF converts the incoming reply from the remote telephone to real time text (RTT), which is sent to the called UE, over the default bearer (in some examples). With the call context thus provided, the user of the called UE may make an informed decision of whether to accept the incoming call.
Audio output method and terminal device
An audio output method and system including first and second electronic devices and an audio output device. The first and second devices are connected to a network using a system authentication account, the first device has installed thereon a music application, and the second device has installed thereon a voice call application. When the audio output device outputs an audio signal corresponding to audio data of the music application, in response to the second device receiving an incoming call from the voice call application, the first device displays a prompt corresponding to the incoming call. The first device sends an indication of answering the incoming call to the second device, which answers the incoming call and sends audio data of the incoming call to the first device, and the first device causes the audio output device to output an audio signal corresponding to the audio data of the incoming call.
Delivering additional information to receiving parties for text messaging based caller ID
The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer readable medium for providing information to a receiving party in a communications network. The method includes receiving a message from a sending party and performing a lookup of information relating to the sending party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection. The lookup is based on an identifier of at least one of the sending party and the receiving party. Subsequently, the information is provided to the receiving party based on the availability of the information in the database.
