A communication signal transform device and a communication signal transform method are provided. The communication signal transform method includes: disposing the mobile device detachably in a case having an exposed portion, and exposing a display of the mobile device from the case through the exposed portion; and generating an output signal supported by the mobile device in response to a signal received from an external telephone line, and transmitting the output signal to the mobile device.

A base station for an audio headset system is provided which is able to communicate with a remote device. The base station is configured to be convertible such that it facilitates communication with remote devices over a range of different communication protocols, in accordance with varying user preference.

Telephone directory data stored in storage unit (103) of a cordless telephone device of the present invention is data in which a telephone directory serial number, name information, telephone number information, and thumbnail image data are associated with each communication partner. With respect to telephone directory data, slave device transfer data transmitting unit (125) transmits only telephone directory serial number and thumbnail image data after conversion in association with each other, to the cordless phone slave device. In a case where there is an incoming call destined to a specific cordless phone slave device from a subscriber line, call control unit (121) transmits the telephone directory serial number, the name information, and the telephone number information of the telephone directory data of a caller, together with incoming information, to the cordless phone slave device.

Provided is a telephone apparatus including a wireless communicator that performs wireless communication of data with a music reproducing device, a controller that remotely controls the music reproducing device through the wireless communicator, a speaker, a sound processor that reproduces sound data from the music reproducing device and outputs the sound data to the speaker, and a call controller that detects outgoing or incoming of a call through a telephone line and restricts output of sound data from the music reproducing device in a case where the incoming or outgoing of a call is detected while the sound data is output as a sound.

A method implemented in a first wireless unit of a plurality of wireless units of a first group. The method includes determining whether a second wireless unit of the first group is configured as the master of the first group. If the second wireless unit is configured as the master of the first group, the first wireless unit is configured as a slave and the first wireless unit is joined to the first group to communicate with the other wireless units. In addition, if the second wireless unit is not configured as the master of the first group, the first wireless unit is configured as the master of the first group and one of the first group is formed and the first group joined to communicate with the other wireless units. An apparatus is also provided.

A wired network may be used to carry signals for a wireless network, in a frequency-shifted manner, to extend the range of the wireless network. A wired network may detect signal interference emanating from a wireless service provider, and received through a leak in the wired network's infrastructure. Devices may be installed or leveraged in the vicinity of the interference to extend the wireless service to geographic areas that may have poor reception. The devices may amplify wireless downstream signals and transmit them wireles sly, and may receive upstream wireless communications and transmit them upstream in the wired network's protocol.

A telephone device includes a short-distance wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication of data with a mobile-phone, and a speaker from which audio data is output, in which a music playback function of the mobile-phone can be remotely operated from a place that is a distance away from the mobile-phone, and in which music playback is stopped by switching a radio resource to that for a telephone call and a smooth transition to a telephone call state can take place automatically without performing a playback stopping operation in a case where a mobile-destined call arrival or mobile-originated call-placing takes place while the music playback is in progress.

A cordless base unit includes a controller that performs control in a case where an incoming call arrives from the landline telephone network, in such a manner that the cordless handset and the mobile information terminal perform sound ringing for the incoming call, that automatic answering starts after a predetermined time has elapsed and the sound ringing for the incoming call is stopped except for the mobile information terminal that is set to be used outside of the house, and that while the automatic answering is performed, the mobile information terminal that is set to be used outside of the house continues to perform the sound ringing for the incoming call.

The present invention is a converged communication device that extends the landline voice service beyond the confines of the home to smartphones and other smart devices. The converged communication device includes a handset, a tablet, a VoIP softphone and a docking station. The docking station, which connects to PSTN and is wirelessly connected to the handset and tablet, communicates with the tablet that has the VoIP softphone installed such that the capability of making and receiving calls via the landline is extended beyond the confines of the home to the tablet or any other registered smart device.

A method for communication by an electronic device is provided. The method comprises determining establishment of a data channel during an ongoing call with another electronic device; determining at least one application displayed on the electronic device and the another electronic device over the data channel during the ongoing call; determining a disconnection of the ongoing call between the electronic device and the another electronic device; and storing (508) a state of the at least one application in a memory of the electronic device based on determining the disconnection of the ongoing call, wherein the stored state of the at least one application is used for execution of the at least one application during another call.
