In an aspect, the present application is directed to managing traffic in a network. A capacity request is received, wherein the capacity request comprises a request for capacity on the network. The capacity request is evaluated to determine whether the capacity requested by the capacity request in view of a measure of currently in-use network capacity on the network would exceed a threshold level. If the threshold level would not be exceeded, the capacity request is fulfilled so that a corresponding network request can be granted for transmission over the network; and if the threshold level would be exceeded, retrieving and analyzing real-time capacity data to determine an available network capacity of the network to be compared to the capacity requested in the capacity request.

Predictive analytic services may be provided that allow a user through a customizable user interface, or dashboard, to access third party data sources and other information derived from toll-free telecommunications networks.

A method for cloud-native centralized fault monitoring in a telecommunication network, the method performed by a processor and comprising receiving one or more raw fault messages associated with one or more respective network devices, wherein the one or more raw fault messages are received using one or more network protocols associated with the one or more respective network devices; identifying fault information from the one or more raw fault messages; enriching the fault information based on continuously processing the fault information and additional contextual information; and storing the enriched fault information in a plurality of databases, wherein a first subset of the enriched fault information is stored in a first database and a second subset of the enriched fault information is stored in a second database.

For example, such a system may include means for: interfacing to a currently operating Digital Subscriber Line (DSL line) operating within a DSL system having a plurality of DSL lines operating therein; evaluating an active configuration of the currently operating DSL line by collecting operational data for the DSL line during operation of the DSL line; determining a plurality of candidate configurations for the currently operating DSL line, the plurality of candidate configurations being operationally compatible with the currently operating DSL line; selecting one of the sub-set of the plurality of candidate configurations as the selected configuration for the DSL line based on a preferred operational characteristic; and transitioning the currently operating DSL line from operating using the active configuration for the DSL line to operating using the selected configuration for the DSL line.
