Operational support for network infrastructures

Systems and methods that facilitate operational support for network infrastructures are discussed. The disclosed system and method facilitate a unified view of the current state of the network and networked devices including real-time log monitoring and for providing metrics for long term system planning. One such method can include the acts of automatically discovering a device deployed on a network, receiving device and network related data in real-time, determining whether a device is authorized, terminating device network access, filtering device data, validating device configuration, configuring a device and providing an output for use by a user. The disclosed system and method can be utilized, for example, to reduce the time involved in troubleshooting and resolving network issues, for establishing a baseline for network performance and for network capacity planning.

Systems and methods for connecting heterogeneous networks

The present invention comprises systems and methods for controlling a connection between and IT infrastructure and a telephony network. In one embodiment, the present invention allows such control through the use of application services adapted for use with a telephony network, a telephony application server that exposes the telephony network to the application services, and a service mediation platform controlling the interaction between the application services and the telephony application server. The service mediation server may comprise a user profile manager for handling the user profiles of a subscriber database, a service level agreement manager for invoking a set of application services, and a resource policy enforcement manager for managing the resources of the telephony network.

Control of communication services management

A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product, implementing management of a telephony system comprising one or more PBX systems (PBX) having data repositories having entity information, a temporary data repository comprising entity information from entities in the PBX, and a management repository comprising site information. The method includes obtaining a rule matching entities explicitly defined in the PBX to sites not explicitly defined in the PBX, obtaining entity identifier; obtaining entity information using the entity identifier, comprising querying the temporary repository, applying the rule against the entity, to match a site with which the entity is associated, obtaining site information, and performing an action with respect to the entity based on the site information. Updates to device information to be persistently available is implemented in the data repository of the PBX, and content of the temporary data repository is periodically replaced with data obtained from the data repositories.

Toll-free telecommunications and data management platform

A Toll-Free Management Platform (TFMP) includes methods and systems for number administration, customer administration, call management services, texting services and text registry, and a smart services registry. The TFMP may allow users to receive through a web-based interface, an activate request from a user, wherein the request includes at least a customer record template reference and an indication of when to active a toll-free telecommunications number associated with the request. The request may include at least one IP address datum associated with the toll-free telecommunications number. A user interface may allow activating a toll-free number, and users may access the TFMP to create and access existing templates of toll-free call routing templates, and utilize a routing tree engine to create customized call routing trees for the toll-free numbers of interest to the user.

Method, Device, Network Entity and Computer Program Product for Providing an IP Service Application

Method, device, network and network entity for providing at least one Internet Protocol, IP, service application from a subscriber's multimedia device in an IP multimedia network. The method comprises executing at least one IP service application on the device and/or on an auxiliary device associated with the device. A Domain Name System, DNS, service is provided being executed on the device the DNS service relating to a domain associated with the subscriber. The DNS service has a memory associated therewith. In the memory information is stored relating to DNS resource records in accordance with the at least one IP service application that is being executed on the device and/or in the auxiliary device at that moment. An indication of the device's capability to execute a DNS service is deposited with the IP multimedia network. The indication comprises a network address on which the DNS service can be reached for a DNS query.

Context-based cloud security assurance system

A cloud infrastructure is enhanced to provide a context-based security assurance service to enable secure application deployment. The service inspects network and cloud topologies to identify potential security capabilities and needs. Preferably, these options are then surfaced to the user with easy-to-understand, pre-configured templates representing security assurance levels. When a template (e.g., representing a pre-configured assurance level) is selected by the user, the system then applies specific capabilities and controls to translate the user-selected generalized specification (e.g., high security) into granular requirements for a specific set of security resources. Preferably, the identification of these security resources is based on system configuration, administration, and information associated with the pre-configured template.

Methods and systems for providing a rating system that allow for customers to create a database of toll-free numbers that are abused by malicious consumers which may be cloud-based and allow for service providers to dip prior to completing or accepting calls.

Individualization of migration between telephony systems

Various technologies described herein pertain to controlling migration of a source endpoint in a source telephony system to a destination endpoint in a destination telephony system. The source endpoint is deactivated and the destination endpoint is activated as part of the migration. The migration of endpoints between the source telephony system and the destination telephony system can be performed in an individualized manner. Source information that specifies a state of the source endpoint is retrieved from the source telephony system and destination information that specifies a state of the destination endpoint is retrieved from the destination telephony system. Moreover, a validation is performed concerning whether the source endpoint is migratable to the destination endpoint based on the source information and the destination information. Subsequent to validating that the source endpoint is migratable to the destination endpoint, the migration is performed to deactivate the source endpoint and activate the destination endpoint.

A toll-free tagging service is provided that includes a subscription-based service that is made available to responsible organizations, consumers and businesses. The toll-free tagging service may provide the ability to tag a toll-free number (or group of numbers), and once a number is tagged, to track updates to that number that may then be distributed to customers through emails/text messages or other means. Subscribers of the toll-free tagging service may also have the ability to create, view, update and delete tags through a web application, mobile application, or some other user interface.
