Controlled-environment facility resident pattern electronic communication detection and controlled-environment facility action

Controlled-environment facility resident pattern electronic communication detection systems and methods may employ a controlled-environment facility secure communication platform, an investigative data aggregation and analysis system, and/or the like. Controlled-environment facility individual resident outgoing electronic communication velocity is monitored. The individual resident outgoing electronic communication velocity may be the number of electronic communications placed by a controlled-environment facility resident, to telephone numbers and/or electronic communication addresses over a period of time. A sharp increase in outgoing electronic communication velocity for a particular controlled-environment facility resident over a relatively short period of time may be recognized and controlled-environment facility personnel of a controlled-environment facility in which the particular controlled-environment facility resident resides may be alerted that the particular resident is at risk of imminent danger, such as suicide, in response to recognition of the sharp increase in outgoing electronic communication velocity for the particular resident over the relatively short period of time.

Venue owner-controllable per-venue service configuration

There are provided measures for venue owner-controllable per-venue service configuration. Such measures could comprise configuring a per-venue service model of services of a network operator for terminal devices of subscribers of the network operator on the basis of an input by a venue owner of a venue, the per-venue service model including at least one configurable parameter for defining a venue-based service for terminal devices of subscribers residing in a specified venue area of the venue, and controlling provision of services of the network operator to terminal devices or subscribers of terminal devices in accordance with the per-venue service model depending on applicability thereof for the service provision.

Techniques for retrieving a voicemail pilot number from a telecommunications network node
10708433 · 2020-07-07 · ·

The disclosed embodiments include a method performed by a Telephony Application Server (TAS) or other telecommunications network node, to retrieve a voicemail pilot number during registration of a user equipment (UE). The method includes receiving a registration message to register the UE and, in response, sending a request message to a home subscriber server (HSS). The request message includes a request for a voicemail pilot number for the subscriber. The method further includes receiving an answer message from the HSS including the voicemail pilot number, which is stored at the TAS, receiving a voicemail service message to deposit/retrieve a voicemail message and, in response, retrieving the voicemail pilot number from the TAS instead of issuing an SS7 query to obtain the voicemail pilot number. The method further includes enabling the subscriber to deposit or retrieve the voicemail message based on the voicemail pilot number retrieved from the TAS.

Communication apparatus and communication method

A communication apparatus includes a user signal transmission unit that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication; a manager function implementing unit that implements a function provided to a manager of the present apparatus; a license monitoring unit that monitors a license of the present apparatus, and outputs a function limitation signal when the license has expired; and a function limitation unit that limits the function implemented by the manager function implementing unit when receiving the function limitation signal. In a communication apparatus that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication, a function of the apparatus is limited when a relevant license has expired, while preventing an influence of the limitation upon the end user.

Profile management for provisioning access to an alternative service provider
10645665 · 2020-05-05 · ·

Provisioning access to an alternative service provider to a device via e-subscriber identity module (SIM) profile management is described herein. A service provider can determine that a device associated with the service provider is located outside of a home coverage area of the service provider and is not transmitting data via data session(s) established in association with the service provider and send, to the device, a notification including an access mechanism for enabling access to service(s) offered by an alternative service provider. The device can receive the notification from the server(s), determine actuation of the access mechanism, and send, to the alternative service provider, a request for access to the service(s) offered by the alternative service provider. The device can receive an eSIM profile from the alternative service provider, which it can install on the device to enable the device to access the service(s) offered by the alternative service provider.

MACHINE LEARNING-DRIVEN SERVICING INTERFACE

Systems and methods for customizing business applications based upon user intent scores is described. A machine learning model trained to specifically predict when a user is likely to engage in a specific activity while interacting with the business application may be trained using data regarding prior interactions between a business application and a plurality of users. The machine learning model may thereafter provide a probability score for a particular user, the probability score indicating the likelihood that the user will engage in the specific activity for which the model has been trained to predict. The probability may be combined with a business value factor to produce a user intent score indicating the relative value of the user engaging in the specific activity. A business application comprising an app executing on a client device, a webpage, an automated menu at a call-in service center, or human operator interacting with the user at a call in the service center may be customized for the particular user based upon the user intent scores.

Automated bulk provisioning of primary rate interface and SIP trunk telephone numbers

A broadband provisioning system configured for bulk provisioning of communications services is provided. The system includes an order manager that includes machine executable instructions stored on machine readable media, the instructions for: receiving a request to provision a plurality of telephone numbers with communications services; creating details for the request and setting an initial state for the request; and upon commencement of processing of the request, updating the state of the request to indicate ongoing processing, provisioning each telephone number in the request by associating resources therewith, and updating a status for each telephone number provisioned; and upon completion of processing, changing the state of the request to indicate completion.

System for remotely running a service program

A system is provided in which portable electronic devices may be provided to people for accessing services in mass quantities. Each portable electronic device, which may be a tablet, may be configured in advance with one or more service programs and an authentication process. The tablet may also include cellular data access and/or paired peripheral devices. Such pre-configuration may provide subsequent ease of use and/or guarantee compatibility with a provider's server. A device control module on the tablet may communicate with a device manager on a server to monitor progress of the service program. If data values associated with the service program, such as measurements and/or transferred content, fail to meet a threshold within a period of time, the device control module may implement an action on the device to encourage the user, such as triggering repetitive alerts, disabling cellular access, disabling system applications, and the like.
