The present disclosure provides details of a system and method for customizing an inmate communication notification. Such a system provides an inmate different customized notification messages to be played to different called parties. The system includes a list of different contacts, and each of the contacts can be associated with one or more contact numbers. Each contact number is associated with one or more customized notification messages. The customized notification messages include terms, phrases, and sentences that draw the called party's attention and sound familiar to the called party. The customized notification messages include customized text files, audio files, and video files. An inmate chooses one or more customized notification messages to be played to a called party.

A computer-implemented method is disclosed for integrating at least one first communication terminal assigned to a user as a preferred device in a static configuration of a communication system and/or for dynamically switching from a first communication terminal used as a preferred device to a second communication terminal as a preferred device for providing a one-number service using the preferred device, to which a one-number service number is assigned, wherein at least two communication terminals are statically assigned to the user and a preferred device is also dynamically assigned to the user through a virtual device. Also disclosed is communication system designed for this purpose.

A provider of a subscription-based online service provides use of the online service to an end-user of an organization. A tenant account request is received from an administrator of the organization to establish a tenant account and authorize the end-user to acquire a subscription for the end-user to use the online service directly from the provider thereof. A method for identifying communicators as wanted or unwanted based on messages from such communicators comprising receiving, by the data processing system, an inbound message from a communicator, comparing, by the data processing system, the inbound message to fingerprints stored in a database accessible to the data processing system, determining, by the data processing system, at least one match to the fingerprints, determining, by the data processing system, an identity of the communicator by determining whether and how likely the communicator is wanted or unwanted based on the at least one match to the fingerprints, and configuring, by the data processing system, handling of calls from the communicator based on the identity.

The methods, services, and platforms allow mobile network operators to provide a service that allows businesses to potentially have their numbers added to the phonebook of a mobile phone after a disconnected call.

Multiple mobile device numbers (MDNs) may be associated with a single user device. For outgoing communications, the user may choose which of the accounts are to be used. For incoming communications, application layer processes may perform an arbitration function to ensure that that the communication state, associated with each MDN, is correctly updated both at the user device and in the telecommunications network.

The application is directed to a method and system for improving user experience with porting a telephone number to an electronic device. The method includes the steps of displaying a user interface on a display of the electronic device for initiating porting of a telephone number. Upon receiving user information via the user interface associated with the telephone number, it is determined whether the telephone number is portable. If the telephone number is portable, it is transmitted to the electronic device.

A method and an electronic device for controlling call-forwarding of the electronic device corresponding to first call address information is provided. The electronic device includes transmitting, to at least one of a server or a second electronic device corresponding to second call address information, a call-forwarding request to forward, to the electronic device, at least one of incoming calls or messages addressed to the second call address information of the second electronic device; and providing the at least one of the requested incoming calls or messages addressed to the second call address information.
