TOLL-FREE NUMBERS METADATA TAGGING, ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
A toll-free tagging service is provided that includes a subscription-based service that is made available to responsible organizations, consumers and businesses. The toll-free tagging service may provide the ability to tag a toll-free number (or group of numbers), and once a number is tagged, to track updates to that number that may then be distributed to customers through emails/text messages or other means. Subscribers of the toll-free tagging service may also have the ability to create, view, update and delete tags through a web application, mobile application, or some other user interface.
Ported and disconnected wireless number distinction based on number portability database status and opted-in file status
Providing ported and disconnected wireless number distinction, comprising: receiving, by at least one processor, an aggregator data file containing at least one of at least one wireless number that has been ported and at least one wireless number that has been disconnected, accessing, by the at least one processor, a number portability database, receiving, by the at least one processor, at least one of text and voice call opted-in data file, determining, by the at least one processor, a conjunction of the aggregator data file and number portability database, the conjunction defining a ported data file, determining, by the at least one processor, a commonality of the at least one of a text and a voice call opted-in data file and the ported data file, the commonality defining a ported opted-in data file, recording, in at least one memory, a status of the commonality of the ported opted-in data file as opted-in wireless numbers, wherein the at least one processor and at least one memory are communicably coupled and reestablishing, by the at least one processor, based on the opted-in wireless numbers at least one subscription service to at least one mobile device.
Hardware verification with RFID-stored build information
In embodiments of hardware verification with RFID-stored build information, a device includes hardware components and a wireless radio tag to store build information for hardware verification of the hardware components in the device. A bootloader can interrogate the wireless radio tag to obtain the build information and compare the build information to current information of the hardware components in the device. The bootloader can then determine whether the current information matches the build information. If the current information does not match the build information, then the build information for the hardware components can be stored in the wireless radio tag, and functionality of the hardware components in the device is limited.
OPPORTUNISTIC DELIVERY OF CACHEABLE CONTENT IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
Systems and methods are described for using opportunistically delayed delivery of content to address sub-optimal bandwidth resource usage in network infrastructures that allow subscribers to share forward link resources. According to some embodiments, content is identified as delayable and assigned to a delaycast queue and/or service flow. For example, a server system of a satellite communications system identifies content that can be delayed to exploit future excess link capacity through multicasting and to exploit subscriber-side storage resources. Some implementations attempt to exploit any excess link resources at any time, while others exploit unused bandwidth only during certain times or when a certain threshold of resources is available. Various embodiments also provide content scoring and/or other prioritization techniques for optimizing exploitation of the delaycast queue.
MANAGEMENT OF TOLL-FREE NUMBER MISUSE AND FRAUD DETECTION
Methods and systems for providing a rating system that allow for customers to create a database of toll-free numbers that are abused by malicious consumers which may be cloud-based and allow for service providers to dip prior to completing or accepting calls.
Provision of additional content to mobile communication devices
A system and method for the insertion of additional content to messages sent between mobile communications devices. The system provides for a point system which allows users of the system to accumulate points for additional content sent with text messages. The points may be used for various functions such as purchasing premium services or may be applied towards the user's service charges.
Use of Identity Data Associated with a Device for Directing Communications to Another Device
Methods and systems for using and/or storing identity data associated with a device to direct communications to another device are described herein. A server may store identity data, such as subscriber identity module (SIM) data, associated with a device or user. The SIM data may be used to authenticate and/or register the device or user with a mobile network. Using the SIM data, other devices may use the capabilities of the first device. The server may receive, from another device, a request to access one or more capabilities of the first device. Based on the request, the server may send a request to register the SIM data with a mobile network. After registration of the SIM data with the mobile network, the server may be used to direct communications to the other device.

System for remotely running a service program
A system is provided in which portable electronic devices may be provided to people for accessing services in mass quantities. Each portable electronic device, which may be a tablet, may be configured in advance with one or more service programs and an authentication process. The tablet may also include cellular data access and/or paired peripheral devices. Such pre-configuration may provide subsequent ease of use and/or guarantee compatibility with a provider's server. A device control module on the tablet may communicate with a device manager on a server to monitor progress of the service program. If data values associated with the service program, such as measurements and/or transferred content, fail to meet a threshold within a period of time, the device control module may implement an action on the device to encourage the user, such as triggering repetitive alerts, disabling cellular access, disabling system applications, and the like.
Over the Air Provisioning of Mobile Device Settings
A mobile device has a display, a memory, at least one processor, and executable instructions stored in the memory. The executable instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, (i) cause the mobile device to display on the display a user interface presenting a plurality of mobile network carrier options and presenting, for each of the mobile network carrier options, one or more service plan options and (ii) in response to a selection, by a user of the mobile device from the user interface, of one of the plurality of mobile network carriers and a selection of a service plan option for the selected one of the plurality of mobile network carriers, cause the mobile device to be activated for use with the selected one of a plurality of mobile network carriers and enable access by the mobile device of wireless communication services provided by the selected one of the plurality of mobile network carriers for the selected service plan.
