Method, apparatus and application server for associating one-number two-terminal call
A method, an apparatus and an application server for associating one-number two-terminal call are provided. The method is used on the application server and includes: the application server receives a call request sent by a calling terminal for calling one-number two-terminal terminals, and sends the call request to the one-number two-terminal terminals; the application server receives first response information sent by a first terminal in the one-number two-terminal terminals for the call request, and determines whether the first response information meets an associated call condition; and if the determine result indicates that the first response information meets the associated call condition, the application server associates the call request of the calling terminal to a second terminal in the one-number two-terminal terminals.
Mobile device synchronization to a gateway
A gateway 202 identifies mobile devices 210 connected to it. Communication access numbers associated with the mobile devices are then obtained and synchronized with communication access numbers associated with the gateway. The gateway notifies a service provider for the mobile device that its calls should now be routed to the gateway instead of the mobile device. Calls received by the gateway can then be delayed, reformatted and/or otherwise transformed/controlled by the gateway and passed to connected landline devices.
Method and system for establishing telecommunications links
The invention relates to a method for establishing a telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3), controlled by a control program (28), with a second communications terminal (D1), according to which a CTI service is made available to the first communications terminal (36) by a CTI server (20) in a CTI domain allocated to said CTI server (20), and the second communications terminal (D1) is located outside the CTI domain and by way of a proxy (Trk2) situated within the CTI domain is linked to the CTI server (20). The control program (28) is linked to the CTI server (20) by way of an intermediate functional unit (30, 32). The intermediate functional unit (30, 32) signals to the control program (28) that the second communications terminal (D1) instead of the proxy (Trk2) is linked into the established telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3) as the telecommunications terminal. The intermediate functional unit (30, 32) instructs the CTI server (20) to carry out the CTI service on the proxy (Trk2) in accordance with the control program (28). Furthermore, an intermediate functional unit (extra domain device, CSP) can be implemented as additional server or middleware. The invention further provides a corresponding system.
Method and device for configuring a communication system
A method for configuring a communication system (20) comprising an exchange (34), the method comprising: identifying a type of the exchange; selecting a configuration module (56) adapted to communicate with the identified type of the exchange; and under the control of the selected configuration module, retrieving and analyzing automatically a configuration database from the exchange, and configuring the exchange to provide communication connectivity to both a fixed network and a mobile network.
Mobile and landline call switching
Systems and methods for transitioning calls are presented. In one example, data is received associated with a connected wireless mobile phone call. The data may include identification data of a far end call participant. A user selection is received to initiate an outgoing call to the far end participant. The outgoing call is initiated over a wired connection to the far end participant.
Dynamic selection of communication mode, application, and/or device using context and policy
The system and method identify contact information for a first party. The contact information for the first party includes a plurality of communication endpoints of the first party and a plurality of communication applications for the plurality of communication endpoints of the first party. For example, the plurality of communication endpoints may be a home phone and a cell phone of the first party. The plurality of communication applications may be voice, video, text, and/or virtual reality applications of the first party. An electronic communication request is received from the first party to the second party. In response to receiving the electronic communication request from the first party to the second party, a first communication endpoint of the plurality of communication endpoints for the first party and a first communication application of the plurality of communication applications of the first party is selected based on a rule.
Methods and apparatus for transferring an established communication session in a telecommunications network
Measures for transferring an established communication session in a telecommunications network, the communication session being established between one of a plurality of communication clients associated with a user and a remote device associated with a remote party. At a call control system located in the signaling path for the established communication session, a communication session transfer request is received from a device associated with the user, the communication session transfer request having been generated by and transmitted from the device. Transfer of the established communication session from the one communication client in the plurality of communication clients to another communication client in the plurality of communication clients is initiated at the call control system. The transfer is conducted on the basis of a preconfigured data set, specific to the user, identifying one or more of the plurality of communication clients associated with the user.
Content Sharing Between Related Devices
Methods and computing systems for sharing content between related devices in a cellular network are described. A first device receives content from an external content source via a wireless connection, and causes presentation of the content on an output device of the first device. The first device retrieves information for one or more related devices that utilize the same telephone number the first device for sending and receiving at least cellular communications via the cellular network. The first device enables sharing of the content with at least one related device of the one or more related devices.
System and method for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices
Methods and systems for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices may include receiving an incoming communication request directed to a communication identifier associated with a user account, transmitting the communication request to at least a first device and a second device associated with the user account, receiving, responsive to the communication request, a message from the first device indicating that the first device has accepted the communication request to establish a call, and transmitting, to the second device, an indication that the communication request was accepted by the first device.
Enhanced techniques for joining communication sessions
The present disclosure provides a number of techniques for enhancing a user's experience when joining teleconference sessions. When multiple users join a teleconference session using separate devices, a system identifies devices that are co-located. The co-located devices are identified by the use of a combination of data including, but not limited to social signals, audio signal and other location data. At least one device of the co-located devices, has a first control set for controlling a teleconference session and other devices of the co-located devices have a second control set for sharing content. The at least one device also has one set of streams and the other devices see a subset of those streams or other streams based on an activity level. In addition, the present disclosure provides a number of techniques for enabling users to use multiple devices to share content.
