Methods and computing systems for sharing content between related devices in a cellular network are described. A first device receives content from an external content source via a wireless connection, and causes presentation of the content on an output device of the first device. The first device retrieves information for one or more related devices that utilize the same telephone number the first device for sending and receiving at least cellular communications via the cellular network. The first device enables sharing of the content with at least one related device of the one or more related devices.

A method for communicating location information to a device includes receiving, at a computer system that implements a social networking service, location information that represents a geographic location of a device associated with a first user; associating, by the computer system, the received location information with a profile associated with the first user; and sending, from the computer system to a device associated with a second user, a message that is generated based at least in part on the location information.

In the case of a method or an arrangement for the automatic start up of a first communication terminal (EG A, EG B) configured for voice communication on at least one second communication terminal (CL A, CL B) configured for text communication, the voice communication between communication terminals is conveyed via at least one voice communication server (SCS) and the text communication between communication terminals is conveyed via at least one text communication server (TCS). An apparatus is capable of sharing information through a presence service in a communication network and capable of providing presence information of a Mobile Station (MS). The apparatus extracts at least one of application information and contents indication information from an application in execution. Presence information is generated that includes at least one of the application information and the contents indication information, and transmitting the presence information to a presence server.

A method for communicating location information to a device includes receiving, at a computer system that implements a social networking service, location information that represents a geographic location of a device associated with a first user; associating, by the computer system, the received location information with a profile associated with the first user; and sending, from the computer system to a device associated with a second user, a message that is generated based at least in part on the location information.

Systems and methods are described herein for sending notifications associated with different use or active modes of a mobile device, such as a smart phone, tablet, and so on. For example, a mobile device may be in a busy mode, where a user associated with the mobile device is busy on a call, and/or in an entertainment mode (or other non-communication mode), where the user is utilizing entertainment functions provided by the mobile device (e.g., watching a video, playing a video game, listening to a podcast, and so on).
