MULTIFUNCTION WIRELESS DEVICE

A communication device and system are disclosed for providing communication and data services to residents of a controlled facility. The device can be restricted to communicating only using an internet protocol so as to restrict the device communication to an internal intranet. Wireless access points may be disposed throughout the environment to route calls and data between the device and a central processing center. By converting a protocol of the communications received from the device to a protocol used by the central processing center, minimal modifications to the central processing center are needed to support a wireless communication infrastructure. Many restrictions and safeguards may be implemented within the phone and system in order to prevent improper use.

System and method for managing routing of customer calls to agents

A call management system of a call center retrieves from a customer database enterprise customer data associated with an identified customer in a customer call, which may include customer event data, attributions data, and activity event data. The customer database tracks prospects, leads, new business, and purchasers of an enterprise. The system retrieves customer demographic data associated with the identified customer. A predictive model is selected from a plurality of predictive models based on retrieved enterprise customer data. The selected predictive model, including a logistic regression model, and tree-based model, determines a value prediction signal for the identified customer, then classifies the identified customer into a first value group or a second value group. The system routes a customer call classified in the first value group to a first call queue assignment, and routes a customer call classified in the second value group to a second call queue assignment.

System for authenticating a phone number using a phone number certificate

An apparatus, related devices and methods, having a memory element operable to store instructions; and a processor operable to execute the instructions, such that the apparatus is configured to identify, on an electronic device, a phone number of an incoming caller device; request, via an out-of-band control channel, a digital certificate for the phone number from the incoming caller device; receive, via the out-of-band control channel, the digital certificate for the phone number from the incoming caller device; determine whether the digital certificate for the phone number is authentic; and indicate, on the electronic device, based on a determination that the digital certificate for the phone number is authentic or not authentic, whether the phone number is authentic or not authentic.

Method and device for enhancing VOIP security by selectively scrutinizing caller's geographical location

The VOIP call security is enhanced using the caller's geographical location information, which is transmitted to the home network device using an unmodifiable header. The home network device checks the veracity of the caller's geographical location information to determine whether the caller is suspicious.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHISHING MONITORING
20230262160 · 2023-08-17 · ·

Disclosed are methods and systems for voice phishing monitoring. For instance, a method includes receiving voice data of an incoming call to a communication device from an application associated with a user account and executing on the device, identifying an entity and interaction allegedly associated with the incoming call from the voice data, determining first fraud indicator data based on a number of the incoming call and second fraud indicator data based on a correspondence of user account interaction data to the entity and/or interaction, and providing the voice data to a trained machine learning system to receive third fraud indicator data based on content and/or a voice characteristic identified from the voice data. The method may further include determining a status for the incoming call of fraudulent or confirmed based on the first, second, and third fraud indicator data, and generating a notification indicating the status for display.

System and method for enabling trusted caller identity and spoofed call prevention

A system and method of verifying a caller identification utilizing a server that communicates with a computing device capable of monitoring communication networks for specific communications from an enterprise voice network. The server can push a spoof prevention contact list to user devices. Additionally, the server can receive notifications from the computing device in response to user inputs that allow match analysis to occur with the information in the received notifications. When a match is found, the server can send a notification to a user device to modify a contact name in the spoof prevention list stored in the user device. After a specified time, the contact name can be altered back to the original state. As an example, the contact name in the spoof prevention list may start out as “unverified call,” and be changed temporarily to “verified call” upon receipt of the notification.

Call screening service for communication devices

One example method of operation may include identifying a call from a caller and destined for a callee, receiving a data message associated with the call, forwarding the data message to a call processing server, processing the data message to identify one or more call parameters, comparing the one or more call parameters to an active call scam model applied by the call processing server, determining a scam score for the call based on the comparing of the one or more call parameters to the active call scam model applied by the call processing server, and determining whether to notify the callee that the call is a scam based on the scam score.

Establishment of a communication by allocating to a caller terminal an intermediate call identifier dedicated to the communication
11324056 · 2022-05-03 · ·

A method of establishing, by a communication management platform, a communication from a first communication device intended for a second communication device. When the platform sends a message to the first device that contains a call identifier dedicated to the communication to be established, the platform intercepts a call from the first device to the dedicated call identifier, then routes the call to the main call identifier of the second device, by using a secondary call identifier of the first device that the platform has previously assigned thereto. When the platform sends a message to the first device indicating the absence of a dedicated call identifier, the first device triggers a call to the main identifier of the second device, by using the main call identifier of the first device.

END-TO-END MANAGEMENT OF AUTHENTICATED COMMUNICATIONS

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing mobile call authentication. For instance, a token indicative of a call request can be received from a calling party. The token can include a called party number and a time of the request. A subscriber database can be accessed to determine identifying information associated with the calling party based at least in part on the token. The token can be authenticated based at least in part on the identifying information and using one or more predefined authentication protocols. The token can be stored in a call session registry storing data indicative of a plurality of active telephone call events. A verification request for the call request can be received from the called party. The call request can be verified based at least in part on the token. The called party can be notified that the call request has been verified.
