Detecting robocalls using biometric voice fingerprints
The disclosed system and method detect robocalls using biometric voice fingerprints. The system receives audio input representing a plurality of telephone calls. For at least a portion of the telephone calls, the system analyzes the received audio based on a voice biometrics detection model to identify one or more biometric indicators characterizing a speaker in the analyzed telephone call. The system generates and stores a voice fingerprint characterizing the speaker based on the biometric indicators, and a time of the analyzed telephone call. The system analyzes stored voice fingerprints and times corresponding to speakers in the analyzed telephone calls to determine a frequency of occurrence of each voice fingerprint within an analyzed timeframe. If the frequency of occurrence of a voice fingerprint exceeds a threshold call quantity within the analyzed timeframe, the voice fingerprint is characterized as being associated with a robocaller.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING OPERATION THEREOF WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE
An electronic device includes a communication interface configured to receive a call from another electronic device, a sensor to sense a motion speed of the electronic device, and a processor configured to provide, to a server, a status of the electronic device based on the motion speed for notifying the another electronic device of the status, determine a type of the call according to an input received from the another electronic device after providing the status, and control to provide a notification related to the call in the electronic device based on the type of the call.
Method and apparatus for content presentation in association with a telephone call
A method and apparatus are provided for presenting multimedia content to a caller and/or a called party in association with a telephone call. Content may be presented pre-ring (before the called party's telephone rings), in-call, and/or post-call. Content presented to a party may be related to another party participating in the call or may be related to a third party (e.g., an advertiser that paid for the ability to have its content presented). Presented content may be actuable, to allow a caller to change the destination of a call, take advantage of an offer presented to him or her, redeem a coupon, schedule or queue a subsequent call, etc. To find a desired destination party, a caller may initiate a manual or automatic search of his or her local contacts (on his telephone) and/or a central or global directory or contact list.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING CONFERENCE CALLS
Systems and methods for assisting a user in conducting a telephony communication include automatically obtaining contextual information relating to the telephony communication, and presenting that information to the user. The contextual information could be drawn from a third party database. The third party database could be queried for the contextual information based on an identity to the party with who the user is attempting to communicate.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DATA CHANNEL AUGMENTED VOICE TELEPHONY SYSTEMS
A computerized method of terminating audio telephone calls that provides the other party with more information as to why the telephone call was terminated. This method, which is particularly useful for computerized smartphones equipped with voice and data channel communications methods, automatically provides the user with a variety of different informative text messages that can be selected by the user and sent to the other party at the time that a voice call is terminated.
Adding additional information to caller ID information
A device may receive a first query from a terminating device. The first query may be based on the terminating device having received, from a calling party device, a request to establish a connection with a called party device. The first query may be based on information associated with the calling party device. The device may send, to a caller information device, a second query based on the first query. The device may receive, from the caller information device, caller information based on the second query. The device may compare the caller information to a criterion. The device may modify the caller information, to create modified caller information, when the caller information satisfies the criterion. The device may send the modified caller information to the terminating device for forwarding to another device to support determining how to handle, for the called party device, the request to establish the connection.
Method and Device for Controlling Call Forwarding
A method and device for controlling call forwarding are provided. In the method for controlling call forwarding, a call request is received, where the call request is sent when a second terminal takes a first terminal as a call forwarding destination; whether the first terminal permits reception of the call request forwarded from the second terminal or not is judged; and under a condition that a judgment result is that the first terminal does not permit the reception of the call request forwarded from the second terminal, the call request is denied.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO TERMINATE AN ACTIVE COMMUNICATION
Contact centers often provide a restricted amount of time for agents to perform post-call activities, including identifying and selecting a relevant completion code from a large set of codes. Providing automated systems and methods to identify the relevant code or codes can present a limited number of the codes (e.g., quick release codes) to the agent and/or automatically enter the completion code. When the quick release code is entered, the record of the call is then updated with the code and the communication is terminated as a single step.
Method, system and device for permitting unfamiliar call
A method for permitting unfamiliar call, applied to a communication device having a memory and a call-blocking app to provide an unfamiliar call, includes the steps of: configuring an area in the memory of the communication device as a storage unit; recording at least one password into a password-correlated table in the storage unit, each of the at least one password being related to a specific user of the communication device; as an unfamiliar call is received, asking a caller of the unfamiliar call to provide an answer for a trivial question immediately provided by the communication device; determining whether or not the answer matches any of the at least one password in the password-correlated table; forwarding the unfamiliar call to the user corresponding to the matched password listed in the password-correlated table if positive; and, blocking the unfamiliar call if negative.
IMMUNOMODULATORY ONCOLYTIC ADENOVIRAL VECTORS, AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF FOR TREATMENT OF CANCER
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for treating cancer in a subject. This involves administering an oncolytic virus containing a heterologous DNA sequence encoding one or more immunomodulatory and/or immunostimulatory polypeptide(s) of interest to the subject under conditions effective to enhance an anti-tumor immune response in the subject, and to treat cancer. It also relates to a method of enhancing the delivery to and distribution within a tumor mass of therapeutic viruses.
