SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A FIXED MOBILE CONVERGENCE SERVICE

The present disclosure generally relates to wireless communication systems, more particularly to systems and methods for providing Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) service. System receives contact number/short code of first user dialed by second user, and establishes connection between BTAS and IMS server, when second user dials mobile number. Further, system invokes FMC create/update service to trigger modification of IFC service chaining data in IMS core network. Furthermore, system converts short code and transmits invite request messages to IMS core network and triggers ringing mode on mobile/fixed line device. In response to conversion, system transmit invite request messages to IMS core network of mobile number link to fixed line, and in response to transmission, system triggers ringing mode on mobile device and fixed line device, to establish call. Additionally, system establishes call between mobile device and fixed line device of second user, and fixed line/mobile device of first user, respectively.

MANAGING TELEPHONIC COMMUNICATIONS
20170054944 · 2017-02-23 ·

According to at least one embodiment, a computer-implemented method to manage incoming communications is described. An incoming call may be received on a landline. One or more devices may be located within a predetermined area based at least in part on the receipt of the incoming call. The incoming call may be forwarded to the one or more devices based at least in part on the locating.

NURSE CALL SYSTEM, NURSE CALL CONVERSION UNIT, NURSE CALL CONNECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

In nurse call systems that enable communication from a plurality of cordless handsets with a plurality of extension terminals carried by nurses belonging to a group, a nurse call conversion unit is provided between a nurse call control device and a private branch exchange. A call signal for a group representative call in which only an identification number for a group is given is transmitted by the nurse call conversion unit from the nurse call control device to the private branch exchange. From this call signal, the private branch exchange generates a call signal for extension terminals belonging to a group and calls the extension terminals.

Communication systems, communication devices, and related methods for routing calls between communication devices having users with different abilities

A group routing server, communication devices, and related methods are described. The group routing server may comprise a processor operably coupled with communication elements and memory, and be configured to determine a destination communication device from among a plurality of communication devices to which an incoming call is to be routed, determine whether an assistive communication service is needed for providing interpretive services based, at least in part, on differing communication abilities between a far-end user associated with a far-end communication device initiating the incoming call and a near-end user associated with the destination communication device, route the incoming call to the assistive communication service according to the routing rules if the assistive communication device is determined to be needed, and route the incoming call directly to the communication service according to the routing rules if the assistive communication device is not determined to be needed.

INTER-NETWORK CONNECTION CONTROL DEVICE, AND CONNECTION CONTROL METHOD

An inter-network connection control device that is used for interconnecting a communication network and another communication network includes a request signal forwarding unit that forwards a connection request signal transmitted from originating user equipment in the communication network to the other communication network, and a response signal processor that receives, from the other communication network, a plurality of response signals with respect to the connection request signal, the plurality of response signals being forked in the other communication network receiving the connection request signal and being forwarded to a plurality of terminating user devices, and that forwards one response signal of the plurality of response signals to the originating user equipment.

CALL MANAGEMENT

When a call is received for a device within an area of coverage, all devices within the area of coverage are rung. The call may be connected to the first device that picks up. All devices may be rung at the same time or in a predetermined order. For example, the first device rung may be a device that was most recently moved, a device that was most recently active, based on a time of day, or the like.

EMERGENCY CALL SERVICE FOR GROUPS OF DEVICES WITH A SHARED NUMBER

Distinct user devices may sometimes share a telephone number. Techniques described herein may provide for the assigning of a temporary telephone number for a user device, which shares a telephone number with other user devices, in certain situations, such as when the user device places a call to an emergency call center. The temporary telephone number may allow the user device to be reached and/or located by the emergency call center.

Incoming call management in a communication environment with unified communication interfaces

A computer-implemented method for managing incoming calls comprises receiving, at an intermediate server communicatively coupled to a mobile phone associated with a first phone number corresponding to a first contact group and a second phone number corresponding to a second contact group, a request to receive an incoming call associated with a caller phone number. The intermediate server identifies a contact group associated with the request. The identified contact group comprises the first contact group in response to the received request corresponding to the first phone number, and the identified contact group comprises the second contact group in response to the received request corresponding to the second phone number. The intermediate server selects a notification based on the identified contact group. The intermediate server modifies the request to receive an incoming call to include the selected notification and routes the modified request to the mobile phone.

A reception control apparatus (10) accommodates a plurality of terminal apparatuses (20) to be used by each of a plurality of users and a reception apparatus (30) receiving a visitor, and includes a scheduled visit database (11) that can be registered by associating authentication information of a scheduled visitor with the user, an acquisition unit (12) acquiring authentication information of a visitor from the reception apparatus (30) when the visitor visits, a calling unit (13) calling a selected terminal apparatus among the plurality of terminal apparatuses (20), based on a collation result between the acquired visitor's authentication information and the registered authentication information of the scheduled visitor, and a registration unit (14) registering, in the scheduled visit database (11), the acquired visitor's authentication information in association with the user of the terminal apparatus (20), based on a response result of the terminal apparatus (20) for the call.

METHOD FOR RESPONDING TO INCOMING CALL, CORRESPONDING TERMINAL, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20250343857 · 2025-11-06 ·

Embodiments of this application provide a method for responding to an incoming call, a corresponding terminal, and a communication system. The communication system includes a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal has a first subscriber identity module SIM number, the second terminal has a second SIM number, and the first SIM number is the same as the second SIM number. The first terminal and the second terminal simultaneously receive, from a network, an incoming call that is for the first SIM number and the second SIM number and that is from a third SIM number. In response to an incoming call rejection instruction that is entered by a user for the incoming call, the first terminal sends, to the network, a message used to reject the incoming call, and sends indication information to the second terminal, where the indication information is used to indicate the second terminal to send, to the network, a message used to reject the incoming call. The second terminal receives the indication information, and sends, to the network based on the indication information, the message used to reject the incoming call.
