MULTI-DEVICE CALL NOTIFICATION SILENCING

A connection manager manages connections for associated user devices by determining whether an incoming connection has been answered at a user device, and if so then generating and transmitting silencing commands to associated user devices using first and second wireless communication modes, with one mode being faster. Connections can comprise phone calls, and modes can comprise push and Bluetooth messaging. The connection manager can instruct device outputs to provide connection alerts, limited to visual alerts when an associated user device is active, listen for associated user device communications, and instruct device outputs to stop providing alerts when a silencing command is received. Further, a connection manager can receive a signal regarding a headset status, route an outside connection from a phone to the headset when the headset is active or to another device when the headset is not active, detect a change in headset status, and reroute the connection accordingly.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATIONS OVER A PLURALITY OF COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORMS

A system and method for establishing communications enables an outbound communication to be made simultaneously across a plurality of different communications platforms. The system is configured to perform the following: receive from a user, a first request to establish an electronic communication with a contact; identify via the details of contacts stored in a storage device, a contact identifier of the contact for each of a plurality of the different electronic communications platforms; receive at a processor from the user, selected devices of the user with which to establish the electronic communication with the contact; transmit via one of the selected devices of the user, a second request to establish an electronic communication comprising real time audio data with the contact simultaneously via each of the plurality of the different electronic communications platforms using each respective contact identifier; receive via the communications device, an acceptance of the second request to establish an electronic communication with the contact via one of the plurality of different electronic communications platforms; and establish an electronic communication comprising real time audio data between the contact and the one of the selected devices of the user via the one of the plurality of different electronic communications platforms.

OPERATING A NETWORK NODE
20180167423 · 2018-06-14 ·

A network node, during setup of a communication session between a calling party and at least a called party, receives a first provisional response message from a first device comprising first session description protocol (SDP) data; and forwards it on to a calling party device associated with the calling party, the forwarded first provisional response message comprising at least a part of the first SDP data. The network node receives a second provisional response message comprising second SDP data from a second device. Responsive to receipt of the second provisional response message, the network node transmits, during communication session setup, a message to the calling party device which offers to update the SDP data; removes the second SDP data from the second provisional response message; and transmits the second provisional response message from which the second SDP data has been removed to the calling party device.

SERVER APPARATUS, TELEPHONE CONNECTION METHOD AND TELEPHONE CONNECTION PROGRAM

There is provided a server apparatus, comprising a notification part that, when receiving an incoming call to a representative telephone number, multicastingly notifies a plurality of staff terminals previously registered in association with the representative telephone number of an occurrence of the incoming call, and a connection part that, when receiving an answering operation from a first staff terminal, calls a telephone number of the first staff terminal via a telephone exchanger to establish a telephone connection thereto.

Unified call routing in social hunt groups

Telephone call routing in a hunt group is based upon monitoring computer activities of the members (devices, people) of the hunt group. For example, a hunt group's member activity score may be based upon how many incoming hunt group calls that member handles. This high activity score is then used to control that member's place in the call routing order.

Multiple party call acknowledgement

Disclosed embodiments provide improved communication between a caller and multiple parties. A caller performs a call spray operation on a group of contacts using an electronic communication device such as a mobile telephone. The call spray operation attempts to contact an electronic device associated with each contact in the group of contacts. If one of the contacts answers and is deemed to be a live user, then the remaining contacts that did not answer each receive a message on their associated electronic device indicating which of the contacts answered the caller with a live user. In this way, a group of people can be conveniently contacted and kept up to date with the status of the communication with the caller.

User interface for phone call routing among devices

The invention is directed to a first electronic device. The first electronic device receives a phone call that was routed to the first electronic device by a call-routing service. While receiving the call, the first electronic device receives a request to route the phone call to a second electronic device. In response to receiving the request to route the phone call to the second electronic device, in accordance with a determination that a first routing criteria have been met, the first electronic device sends a request to the call-routing service to route the phone call to the second electronic device instead of routing the phone call to the first electronic device. In accordance with a determination that a second routing criteria have been met, the first electronic device causes call data associated with the call to be routed through the first electronic device to the second electronic device.

Communication termination using hunt groups and implicit registration

When authorized, a user of a computing device, such as a smart phone, may associate a telephone number that is assigned to a computing device with other computing devices. The other computing devices may or may not have an assigned device number. A user may also select to use the same number as the originating number of an electronic device. For example, a user may specify that each computing device associated with the user utilizes the same telephone number. The user may also specify that a computing device not utilize an assigned number. The associations of a device number with the computing devices may be stored as implicit registration data and/or as hunt groups.

Routing and notification in response to a failed forked call

Call forking allows for a subscriber to receive an incoming call and have that call ring on a number of endpoints identified by the subscriber. The call may then be answered on any one of the endpoints without the calling party needing to know which device is most likely to be answered. Call forking is not always available, such as due to regulatory prohibition or technical issues. As a result, a call may be designated to be forked to a particular endpoint, but that particular endpoint may fail to receive the call. The called and calling parties are often unaware of the issue. However, by providing the address of the endpoint back to an originating server associated with the calling party, the call may be forked from the originating server via a path different from the one that caused the endpoint to be unreachable. Once the call is answered, on any ringing endpoint, all other forked calls are terminated.

Incoming Call Reminder System and Method and Electronic Device

This application relates to the field of terminal technologies and provides an incoming call reminder system and method and an electronic device, to alleviate a problem that a plurality of devices indistinguishably perform incoming call reminding for a same incoming call request. Specific solutions are as follows: The first device receives a first incoming call request when the first device and the one or more second devices meet a first condition, where the first condition includes a screen off state; and in response to the first incoming call request, a third device in the one or more second devices and the first device perform incoming call reminding, and a fourth device other than the third device in the one or more second devices does not perform a vibration and/or ringing reminding, where the third device is a wearable device, and the third device is in a worn state.
