In one example, a method for a conference bridge failover in a conference call system may include determining that a first conference bridge with a connection for a participant telephone has failed. The method may also include determining whether one or more conference bridge have resources to manage the connection for the participant telephone of the first conference bridge and assigning the connection for the participant telephone to the one or more conference bridge in response to the determination.

In one example, a method for selecting an assigned conference server for a participant telephone in a conference call may include determining whether a default conference server has required resources for connecting the telephone participant to the conference call. The method may also include selecting the default conference server as the assigned conference server if the default conference server has the required resources for connecting the participant telephone to the conference call.

A conference call solution with one or more conference server, one or more conference bridge and one or more media mixer. A conference server is chosen as the conference bridge for the conference call using various optimization techniques. A media mixer for the conference call may also be chosen using various optimization techniques. The media mixer mixes media data from one or more conference bridge. If a conference bridge or the media mixer fails, the system recovers from the failure with minimal interruption to the users.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide improved systems and methods for conferencing enterprise and non-enterprise callers. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first call initiated by an enterprise caller at an enterprise, communicating with an enterprise media server to initiate a tributary conference on the enterprise media server, joining the enterprise caller to the tributary conference such that the enterprise caller is in data communication with the tributary conference, receiving a second call initiated by a non-enterprise caller via a public switched telephone network, interfacing the non-enterprise caller with a data center media server, creating a home conference on the data center media center, joining the second call to the home conference, and interfacing the home conference on the data center media server to the tributary conference on the enterprise media server to form a linked conference between the enterprise caller and the non-enterprise caller.

A system includes a communication terminal that is mounted on a moving object for a remote conference to be conducted, the communication terminal including: a number-of-persons identification unit which identifies a number of persons aboard the moving object; and a number-of-users determination unit which determines a number of users who are able to be accepted by the communication terminal as participants in the remote conference, according to the number of persons identified by the number-of-persons identification unit.

A moving object conference system is a system for a passenger to participate in an online conference via a communication network in an interior of a moving object, and includes a management unit managing conference information which is communication information of the online conference, for each of interior participants participating in the online conference from the interior of the moving object, and the management unit, for a common online conference that the plurality of interior participants participate in, displays shared information to be distributed to all the participants of the common online conference, of the conference information, on a shared display device shared in the interior of the moving object, and displays an individual operation screen to be individually operated by the participant of the common online conference on an individual touch panel which can be individually operated by the interior participant from a seated position.
