Method and system for replacing telephony apparatus in an IP telephony network
The present invention relates to a method of replacing at a first location in a telephony network first telephony apparatus comprising apparatus data with second telephony apparatus. The method comprises receiving at a second location in the telephony network remote from the first location identification data for the first telephony apparatus, the identification data providing for identification of the first telephony apparatus from among plural telephony apparatus in the telephony network. The method also comprises acquiring apparatus data for the first telephony apparatus from a data structure in dependence on the identification data, the data structure comprising the identification data and the apparatus data. The method further comprises replacing in the telephony network the first telephony apparatus with the second telephony apparatus. The method yet further comprises conveying the acquired apparatus data from the second location to the second telephony apparatus by way of the telephony network.
Client-specific control of shared telecommunications services
Aspects are directed toward use of data communications server(s) and a Platform as a Service (PaaS) interface to provide remote services for endpoint devices of a plurality disparate client entities. In one example, an apparatus includes a computing server to provide data communications for a plurality of endpoint devices respectively associated with a plurality of disparate client entities according to and responsive to client-specific sets of control data. The apparatus also includes a processing circuit configured to adjust routing of the communications by the computing server, in response to call event data generated by the computing server, by generating the client-specific sets of control data for each client entity according to a respective set of directives.
VIRTUAL TELEPHONY PLATFORM FOR SECURE COMMUNICATION
A virtual telephony platform may establish at least one communication connection with one or more multiple modem array devices that are deployed in one or more geographical regions. The platform may be provided with access to multiple Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs). The platform may provision a unique device profile to a particular modem in a specific modem array device deployed in a particular geographical region through a communication connection. The platform may further provide the particular modem with a specific SIM profile of a particular SIM of the multiple SIMs through the corresponding communication connection, such that the particular modem is configured to use the specific SIM profile to access a base station of a wireless carrier in the particular region. The platform may further route telecommunication data between a client device and the wireless carrier network in the particular region through the particular modem.
Communications system with dynamic or changing mapping correspondence between the respective set of domain names and the network addresses
Various example implementations are directed to circuits, apparatuses, and methods for providing virtual computing services. According to an example embodiment, an apparatus includes a data storage device and a set of computing servers communicatively coupled to the data storage device. The set of computer servers are configured to provide a respective (e.g., virtual) data center for each of a plurality of accounts. The respective data center for each account is configured to provide data communication services specified in a respective settings file for the account stored in the data storage device. For at least one of the accounts, a set of virtual desktops and/or a set virtual data-communications servers may be designated to provide the data communications services as specified in the settings file for the account.
Telephony equipment migration
A telephony equipment migration arrangement is provided. The telephony equipment migration arrangement includes legacy telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays, at least one transport cable, with one or more connectors, to provide external carrier connectivity, replacement telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays remote from the legacy telephony equipment, and at least one remote coupling cable, with one or more connectors, connected to the replacement telephony equipment. The connector(s) of the remote coupling cable are mounted in a location having a predetermined locational relationship with the equipment bay in which the legacy telephony equipment is located, and the transport cable is communicatively coupled to the remote coupling cable.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING A CALL TO AN AGGREGATE ENDPOINT DEVICE
A method and an apparatus for processing a call to an aggregate endpoint device over a network are disclosed. For example, the method receives a session request by a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF), wherein a route header for the session request comprises an aggregate endpoint identifier, and interacts with an application server to receive a Public User Identity (PUID) of the aggregate endpoint device in accordance with the aggregate endpoint identifier. The method performs a termination processing for the session request using the PUID of the aggregate endpoint device, and forwards the session request towards the aggregate endpoint device.
