METHOD AND APPARATUS TO SUPPORT DUAL PACKET SWITCHED SERVICE IN UE
Systems and methods are provided for enabling dual subscriber identity module (SIM) card usage for accessing packet switched services/networks. Each of the dual SIM cards operate in an always on mode and can be used to establish and maintain data connections over which the packet switched services/networks can be engaged. The dual SIM cards can be used in the aggregate or separately according to dynamic selection or fixed/mapped associations between an application requesting to access the packet switched services/networks and one or more of the dual SIM cards.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF USING REMOTE SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULES AT A DEVICE
The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first modified request.
INTERNATIONAL CALL ROUTE GENERATION
A central routing function (CRF) platform. The CRF platform comprises at least one processor; a non-transitory memory communicatively coupled to the at least one processor that stores a plurality of prioritized international call route lists where each prioritized international call route list associates alternative international communication service carrier routes in a prioritized order with an international telephone number; and a call process application stored in the non-transitory memory that, when executed by the processor, receives a request for a prioritized international call route list from a network element, where the request comprises an international telephone number, pads out the international telephone number received from the network element to form a 15-digit number, looks up a prioritized international route list using the 15-digit number in the non-transitory memory, and sends the prioritized international route list to the network element.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SWITCHING ZERO CHARGE CALLERS
Asynchronous and/or synchronous zero charge telephony protocol systems and methods may include an asynchronous signaling switch and/or a call duration time quota from a synchronous charging onset to place and complete a call. A first device call request is received with a second device mobile address. The asynchronous systems include instructions to automatically modify the mobile address with a routing prefix when the first device has insufficient balance or independent of balance, route to the asynchronous signaling switch based on an associated modified address trunk path, revert the modified call signal at the asynchronous signaling switch to the call signal, and deliver and automatically disconnect the call immediately when the call is completed. The synchronous systems include instructions to automatically set the call duration time quota upon insufficient balance, and deliver and automatically disconnect the call from the second user mobile device when the call is completed and the call duration time quota is exceeded.
System and method for deferred delivery of content based on congestion in a network environment
A method is provided in one example embodiment and may include receiving congestion information for an environment in which a user equipment (UE) is operating; receiving a first request to deliver content to the UE; determining that the environment in which the UE is operating is experiencing congestion based, at least in part, on the congestion information; determining a re-try interval based, at least in part, on the congestion information; and deferring delivery of the content to the UE until the re-try interval has expired. In one example embodiment, the method can include provisioning one or more policy rules for a service data flow associated with the content and communicating the indication indicating that delivery of the content has been deferred to a charging system to set charging information for at least one of a user associated with the UE or a provider of the content.
Systems and methods for granular usage reporting in multi-RAN telecommunications systems
A system described herein may track usage, on a per-User Equipment (“UE”) basis, in systems that provide for simultaneous connectivity to a given UE via multiple base stations. A cycle cutoff time may be determined, a master base station (to which the UE is connected) may be notified of the cycle cutoff time, and the master base station may notify one or more secondary base stations (to which the UE is connected) of the cycle cutoff time. The master base station and/or the one or more secondary base stations may track usage, of the UE, until the cycle cutoff time, and may report the usage such that the usage via each of the base stations may be able to be determined.
Toll-free telecommunications and data management platform
A Toll-Free Management Platform (TFMP) includes methods and systems for number administration, customer administration, call management services, texting services and text registry, and a smart services registry. The TFMP may allow users to receive through a web-based interface, an activate request from a user, wherein the request includes at least a customer record template reference and an indication of when to active a toll-free telecommunications number associated with the request. The request may include at least one IP address datum associated with the toll-free telecommunications number. A user interface may allow activating a toll-free number, and users may access the TFMP to create and access existing templates of toll-free call routing templates, and utilize a routing tree engine to create customized call routing trees for the toll-free numbers of interest to the user.
