METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF USING REMOTE SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULES AT A DEVICE

The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first.

ROUTING OF TOLL-FREE NUMBERS AND TEXT MESSAGES USING A TOLL-FREE EXCHANGE
20210021970 · 2021-01-21 ·

Aspects of this disclosure are directed to a method of routing text messages to subscribers of toll-free numbers using the toll-free exchange. Typically, an originating texter will draft a text message, using, for example, an SMS component of a cellular phone to a toll-free subscriber. In an aspect of the present disclosure, the text message is sent to the originating texter's service provider, which then routes the text message to the toll-free exchange. The toll-free exchange looks up the RESPORG ID associated with the ten-digit toll-free number, and the RESPORG ID is used for text message routing.

Systems and methods are described for managing services of a computing device over a mobile network where requests for managed or unmanaged services are translated to corresponding IP addresses sent to the computing device and corresponding requests sent to the translated IP addresses are either permitted, rated, quality controlled or secured if the computing device has a valid data plan or is otherwise permissioned for using the mobile network, are denied if filtered and if the computing device does not have a valid data plan or is not otherwise permissioned and the request corresponds to the first address, and are permitted, rated, quality controlled or not secured even if the computing device does not have a valid data plan or is not otherwise permissioned if the request corresponds to the second address.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GRANULAR USAGE REPORTING IN MULTI-RAN TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
20200404466 · 2020-12-24 ·

A system described herein may track usage, on a per-User Equipment (UE) basis, in systems that provide for simultaneous connectivity to a given UE via multiple base stations. A cycle cutoff time may be determined, a master base station (to which the UE is connected) may be notified of the cycle cutoff time, and the master base station may notify one or more secondary base stations (to which the UE is connected) of the cycle cutoff time. The master base station and/or the one or more secondary base stations may track usage, of the UE, until the cycle cutoff time, and may report the usage such that the usage via each of the base stations may be able to be determined.

USING WIRELESS RATE MODELS BASED ON UTILIZED FREQUENCY RESOURCES
20200389768 · 2020-12-10 ·

Usage rates for user equipments (UEs) in a peer to peer wireless network are disclosed. For instance, a network device communicates via a first wireless connection with the network device, wherein the first wireless connection employs a first frequency band, and wherein the first frequency band corresponds to a first rate model. Then, a request is received to change the first frequency band to a second frequency band. A second wireless connection is established with the network device, wherein the second wireless connection employs the second frequency band, and wherein the second frequency band corresponds to a second rate model different than the first rate model.
