Methods and systems for different mid-call announcements to both served and non-served parties at the same time
Systems and methods are provided for generating announcement information at a communication node. The method includes: generating a first announcement information associated with a first user; generating a second announcement information associated with a second user; and transmitting the first and second announcement information to a telephony application server, wherein the first announcement information and the second announcement information include at least one different element of data, further wherein both the first and second announcement information are used to generate or select announcements which are transmitted to the first and second users during a call between the first and second users.
System and method for monitoring usage in a converged charging system
Systems and methods described herein include receiving, at a network device, a message including an identifier associated with a subscriber and an identifier associated with a rating group associated with one or more data flows and determining a data quota and one or more usage monitoring thresholds associated with the subscriber. The data quota indicates a first amount of data associated with the rating group that the subscriber is authorized to use during a time period and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds indicate one or more second amounts of data associated with the rating group and one or more service flows that the subscriber is authorized to use during the time period. The network device transmits the data quota and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds, receives data usage information, and processes the data usage information.
Mobile device roaming optimization and operation
A method, system, and computer program product for implementing mobile device roaming optimization is provided. The method includes receiving a selection for services associated with a first mobile device provider for activation during travel to a location associated with mobile device roaming attributes with respect to a mobile device of a user. A blockchain structure and a hash masking sensitive data of the user are generated. It is detected that the user and mobile device have traveled to the location and access to the blockchain structure is enabled. Roaming usage attributes of the mobile device are determined. Subsequently, operational functionality of the mobile device at the geographical location is enabled via roaming usage of a network of the second mobile device provider and second hash of consumption related information compliant with data residency is transmitted to the first mobile device provider to facilitate resolution of disputes across entities.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING SPONSORED COMMUNICATION SERVICES TO LOAN NON-ELIGIBLE SUBSCRIBERS
The present invention provides a method for providing sponsored communication services in a telecommunication network to loan non-eligible subscribers comprising: receiving, by a proxy device, a communication request originating from an initiating party and forwarding the communication request to a loan granting system; receiving, by the proxy device, a signal indicative of loan refusal (because the subscriber is a loan non-eligible subscriber) from the loan granting system; informing the initiating party, by the proxy device, terms of sponsorship and seeking approval from the initiating party; receiving, by the proxy device, a signal indicative of approval by the initiating party; and sending, by the proxy device, routing information to a routing device for storing in respect of the initiating party, the routing device acting upon the routing information while providing a communication service.
Method and Network Node for Home Charging of Offloaded Traffic at Visited Network
According to techniques disclosed herein, a Visited Communication Network (VCN) (10) selectively reports usage information back to a Home Communication Network (HCN) (50) for user traffic that is offloaded at the VCN (10) to a Data Network (DN) (14) rather than routed back to the HCN (50). Among the various advantages, the reporting supports charging operations in the HCN (50) regarding the offloaded traffic. Further advantages include the application of policy control and service-authorization control jointly between the VCN (10) and the HCN (50).

Systems and methods may provide for establishing a data usage budget based on one or more of user input and historical usage data, wherein the data usage budget distinguishes between usage types and distinguishes between connection types. A network access control method includes obtaining network information of an electronic device, determining, using the network information, whether the electronic device needs to use a first access point name (APN) network channel, and generating a network channel switching instruction in response to determining that the electronic device needs to use the first APN network channel. The network channel switching instruction instructs to switch the electronic device from a second APN network channel to the first APN network channel. The second APN network channel has access to more network resource addresses than the first APN network channel.

Herein disclosed are systems, methods, and apparatus for controlling data usage statistics in network-connected devices. The ‘stats’ collection can be suppressed during minimum window periods, thereby reducing CPU and resources usage needed to processes the stats collection. Further, the minimum window can be a function of a link speed of the communication channel as well as a data usage proximity to a data usage warning limit. Further, stats collection can be triggered by expiration of a timer or data usage that meets a buffer threshold, where both the timer and threshold are selected based on the communication channel link speed, and buffer threshold is further a function of the data usage proximity to the warning limit.
