METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF RESTRICTING DATA USAGE AT A PLURALITY OF NETWORK DEVICES
Methods and systems for sharing data usage by a plurality of SIM cards at a plurality of network devices are disclosed. Each of the plurality of network devices is capable of housing at least one SIM card from the plurality of SIM cards. The method comprises the steps of determining the total data usage allowance. A remaining total data usage allowance is determined by either retrieving it from a carrier server or by subtracting aggregated data usage information from the total data usage allowance. The method further comprises restricting use of one or more of the plurality of SIM cards when the remaining total data usage allowance is below a first threshold until the remaining total data usage allowance is above the first threshold. The total data usage allowance is changed to a first value periodically or according to an administrator's instruction.
Charging method and device
A charging method includes: determining, by a control plane function entity (CP), that a data flow that is transmitted by user equipment (UE) on a first data session needs to be migrated to a second data session; charging, by the CP, the data flow on the first UP through a first charging session between the CP and a charging system; obtaining, by the CP, charging information of the data flow before the migration that is counted by the first UP; and determining, by the CP, a quota that is used for the data flow after the migration is necessary to be delivered to the second UP, and delivering the quota to the second UP, thereby charging a service data flow of a user in a case of migration between user planes.
METHOD FOR DETECTING THE COMPLETION OF A TELEPHONE CALL INITIATED FROM A WEB BROWSER OF A MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for detecting the success of a telephone call initiated from a web browser of a mobile communication device, comprising an initial step (20) of detecting a click event on display data of a predetermined web page displayed via the web browser, said display data relating to a telephone number, and a step (28) of establishing a telephone communication between said mobile communication device and a terminal corresponding to said telephone number. The method further comprises the following steps—initializing a time counter when a click event is detected (20); detecting (30) a predetermined event;—stopping said time counter when said predetermined event is detected (30);—if the duration recorded by said time counter is within a predetermined time interval, determining (36) that the telephone call was successful.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING CHARGING ON NETWORK RESOURCE, AND DEVICE
This application provides example methods, systems, and devices for performing charging on a network resource. One example method includes sending, by a network slice charging function device, a first message to a network slice management function device, where the first message includes an identifier of a network slice instance and filtering information, the filtering information indicates the network slice management function device to send a value that is of a network slice performance indicator of the network slice instance and that matches the filtering information, and the network slice performance indicator describes network performance of the network slice instance. The network slice charging function device can then receive a second message from the network slice management function device, where the second message includes the value. The network slice charging function device can then perform charging on the network slice instance based on the value.
ACCESS NODE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING USER ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND TO TELEVISION
A client device receives, from a user, a request to connect to a medium. The client device sends a request to a server to inquire whether a sufficient amount of credits is stored in an account for the user. The client device then receives a response to the inquiry. If the user account contains at least one credit, a connection is established between the client device and the medium. The server receives, from a controlling terminal, account information for the user, and a list of activities for reporting by the user. This information is stored in the user account. Credits are also stored in the user account. A report related to a performance of an activity part of the list of activities is received from the client device of the user. In response to receiving the report, the number of credits is incremented in the user account.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING DATA USAGE IN A CONVERGED CHARGING SYSTEM
Systems and methods described herein include receiving, at a network device and from a session management device, a first message that includes a first identifier associated with a subscriber and a second identifier associated with a first service that is charged using an online charging system. The network device transmits a second message that indicates a first time period in which to report data usage associated with the first service and a second time period in which to report data usage associated with one or more second services that are charged using an offline charging system. The network device receives first data usage information associated with the first service after the first time period and second data usage information associated with the one or more second services after the second time period. The network device processes the data usage information.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING LOW-BALANCE DATA SESSION REQUESTS
A method, system and server for processing low balance data session requests are provided. The server includes a memory storing an account record including an account balance and a count of failed service requests; a network interface; and a processor interconnected with the memory and the network interface. The processor receives a request to access a data service for a mobile device corresponding to the account record; and to determine whether the account balance is sufficient to access the data service. When the account balance is not sufficient, the processor compares the count of failed service requests to a threshold. When the count exceeds the threshold, the processor sends a notification to the mobile device, and when the count does not exceed the threshold, the processor increments the count. The processor also returns a message denying access to the data service.
Wireless access point having metering capability and metering display
The disclosure provides a system and method for metering on a prepaid wireless access point the amount of data transferred between a wireless device and the Internet and inhibiting further data transmission when the amount of prepaid data available reaches or drops below a pre-determined threshold. Specifically, the wireless access point includes a metering client to track one of data usage or an amount of prepaid data available. When the metering client indicates that the amount of data available has dropped below a pre-determined threshold, the wireless access point inhibits further data transmission.
Method and apparatus for verifying the correctness of a roaming account balance
This application discloses a roaming charging method and apparatus. A blockchain network stores information related to roaming fee settlement, to reduce a possibility that the information related to roaming fee settlement is tampered with. In addition, a digital signature algorithm is used to sign roaming service statistics to generate an abstract, to further prevent the roaming service statistics from being tampered with. In this way, when a home carrier verifies a roaming account balance by using the roaming service statistics and a roaming charging rule, accuracy of a verification result can be ensured, and the home carrier can obtain an accurate roaming fee of a user.
